Author's Note:
So, this chapter is a bit long... and it has a lemon drop.
Enjoy.
The drive back to the nest was quiet, and filled with tension.
"So, what's the verdict?" Alice asked.
"Hm?"
"What did the doctor say? Do you have a concussion or something?" She asked.
"No, just a bruised temple, and hip." I murmured.
"You seem exhausted." Didy commented.
I yawned, "Yeah, I've been feeling a bit tired lately." I told her, biting my lip as I turned to stare out the window.
"We have been on the move a lot lately. Good thing we're done with this life." She replied, in agreement.
"That isn't just good, it's fantastic. Now, all I have to do is move to a place where the crime rate is low, the weather is nice, and they have delicious food." I told them with a longing sigh.
"Where will you go? Back to the states?" Lottie asked.
I shrugged nonchalantly. "I don't know yet, I mean Rose, Alice, and I were sharing one of the properties that my father passed on to me but I don't know yet." I replied honestly.
"You do have properties scattered around the world. You could go anywhere undetected." Lottie told me jokingly.
I sighed, "Yeah."
As Lottie made her way, I found myself growing more and more tired.
Eventually, I felt my eyelids begin to grow heavier, before I finally fell asleep.
Three Months Ago:
"Are you sure you can do this, Bee?" Es asked me, concerned.
I frowned, tightening the grip around the bike's handlebar. "Why wouldn't I be able to?" I asked as I slid on the helmet.
"Because this is a dinner event in which some of the most powerful men and their families will be attending." She replied.
I stiffened for a moment before shaking my head. "I'll be fine. What's the job anyway? I mean you told me about the dinner event but not what I need to retrieve. Why am I going to this thing?" I asked, leaning back on the bike's seat.
"Intel. We were told there's a large weapon shipment coming into the port sometime tonight. In there there's a device that we need. Get the information, and we'll do the rest." She told me.
I nodded in response, "Right. Well, I've got to go get a few things to prepare." I replied, apathetically.
"Gee, you sound excited for tonight." She commented.
I scoffed as I kicked the stand up, before pressing the starter petal with my foot and taking off.
"Who wouldn't be excited about having to get their twat waxed, along with their legs? I'm looking forward for my twat to look like a fucking featherless, bloody chicken." I deadpanned as I rode towards the usual beauty parlor we used for these types of assignments.
I heard her begin to snort, before it turned into a full on belly laugh. "Bitch." I murmured.
"Sor— Sor— I'm sorry but you always act like we're sending you into the lion's den." She snorted.
I grumbled, as I rode into the parking lot, shutting off the bike's engine. "Well it is nice that you took the time to laugh at me and my incoming doom. I have to go and get the hair ripped out of my shit so, I'll talk to you later." I said hanging up as I slipped my helmet off.
I slid the keys to the bike into my pocket before moving towards the familiar pink-bricked building.
I always did cringe whenever I have to come here. I always hated coming here but I couldn't afford to flash my bits if they're not in top condition.
"Bee! We're waiting for you! Come on in, time's awastin'!"
I cringed again before straightening my shoulders and rolling my head on my shoulders.
"You're a bad bitch. You got this. Pain is weakness leaving the body. No pain no gain. You got this." I murmured to myself as I made my way inside the salon.
Jessica, Angela, and Lauren were waiting for me as I walked in.
All three were once a part of our organization, but they found love, and chose to leave this life behind.
They were all happily married now. Even popped out a kid or two.
It was something I hoped and longed for, but had long given up on finding.
"Bee! Hey, how are you feeling today?" Angela asked as she led me towards the back.
"Good, Ange. How are you doing?" I asked as Jessica finished up with a customer.
"Great. We're expecting again." She said, smiling goofily at me.
I gasped, turning towards her in surprise. "Congratulations! How far along are you?" I asked as she set up the table.
"I'm only sixteen weeks but it feels like I'm still in the first trimester." She said wrinkling her nose.
I gave her a sympathetic smile. "I hope you feel better." I told her.
"Oh I will. In the meantime why don't you get ready? I'll give you some privacy." She said as she exited the room.
I groaned and began undressing.
Forty minutes later I winced as I went to sit down in Jessica's chair.
"Trim, dye job, or big change?" She asked me.
"Trim, and dye job." I told her.
"Darker? Lighter?" She asked me as I sat down, wincing.
"Lighter. Add red undertones to it. Cut it a few inches shorter." I instructed.
"Ooh. I'm already loving it. I'll go start the dye." She said, as she excitedly bounced away.
I sighed, wincing again when I moved the wrong way.
Another two hours later, Jessica and I were very impressed with how my hair turned out. She had decided to add some hair extensions to improve the look.
Causing the hair to hit just above my waist.
When I was done there, Ange took me to the back again and did my eyebrows.
This day was now going painfully slow.
Emphasis on the painful.
"You look so pretty!" Angela gushed, as she finished tearing off the hairs from the top half of my face, before giving me a mirror and stepping back.
"You've done it again, you wonderful, amazing, bitch! Love you all!" I replied as I sat up.
She nodded at me in response before helping me off the chair and leading me towards the front.
Lauren then painted both my finger nails, and toe nails a lovely shade of red called Rouge Fatal.
When she finished, she led me to the cash register, where she proceeded to ring me up with a smile.
I left each of them a hundred dollar bill before heading out.
What an interesting ride home that was.
Honestly, that was probably the most action I've received in almost two years, and that's saying something.
By the time I made it back to the house, Alice and the girls were waiting to help me finish getting ready.
They had picked out a nice red, off the shoulder, floor length gown. It had a slit on the right thigh.
"Do I have to wear this?" I complained.
"It was last minute. It's your size, and it'll look amazing on you." Alice replied as she helped me pull my hair into the shower cap. "Now get your ass in that shower!" She ordered smacking my ass as I passed her.
I showered quickly, washing, exfoliating, and buffing my body until I was sure that I had rubbed the epidermis off my skin.
Once I got out I washed my face in the skin, before wrapping myself in a towel and heading out.
Kebi had brought up the new jewelry tech Tia had made, along with a newest one.
"A choker?" I asked frowning at the item.
"It has a tracker. Just in case." Kebi said, looking at me worried.
I looked at her, before looking back down at the accessory. "Where?" I asked.
"She managed to design a new, much smaller chip. It's practically non-existent. Embedded in the back. It's small yet gives off a strong beaconing signal. We'll be able to find you in a matter of minutes. All the accessories tonight have it. Except the ring." She said holding it up to me.
I gasped at the sight, before holding up the ring. It was a rose gold ring with a sparrow on either side of it, a moonstone diamond sitting in the center of the ring.
"I'm keeping this after this is all over." I said, smiling widely.
"It's yours." Kebi replied smiling.
I squeaked excitedly, before slid it on to my right ring finger, smiling widely as I stuck out my hand to examine it.
After that Alice handed me the non-existent piece of fabric she called underwear. I looked down at it in disgust.
"I might as well go commando with all that this shit will cover." I bit out frowning in disgust.
"Whatever floats your boat, Bee, now either put it on or don't. But hurry because we need to do your makeup." She told me as before handing me something else.
"Nipple pasties?" I asked.
"Yes, that dress is tight, you don't want any lines." She replied exasperated.
I sighed, in defeat, before bending down to slip on the offensive piece of cloth up my legs and onto my hips.
"Wipe your tits and slip it on from bottom to top." Alice instructed.
I scrunched up my nose, before following her directions. Once they were on I was surprised by the fact that it gave me an amazing lift. "Wow. These are awesome!" I gasped out amused.
"Stop jumping up and down and get your ass in the chair." She told me, with a laugh.
"I can't help it. Look at how nice this shit makes my shit look." I replied as I walked over and sat down.
"Yeah, yeah. Always complaining, and then you find out you like it." She murmured, shaking her head at me, before pulling off the shower cap.
I shrugged nonchalantly before sighing and closing my eyes.
She took a few minutes of prepping my face — whatever that is —, before she got down to work.
After what felt like an eternity, she finally finished, I was falling asleep.
Rose handed me a can of Monster energy drink, and gave me a nod.
I silently thanked her before chugging it as I got off the chair.
Once I chugged enough of the energy drink, I headed the can back to Rose before sliding into the red number.
As Alice predicted, the dress slid perfectly over my body. Clinging to my body like a second skin. It had a sweatshirt neckline, with loose sleeves that fell over my shoulders.
I turned toward the mirror checking myself out in the mirror.
The dress was ruched down the line of my back, then it fell like a smooth waterfall.
"Your ass looks amazing in that dress, Bee." Rose complimented.
"It does, doesn't?" I murmured in agreement as I spun around in a circle feeling like a princess.
"Ok, stop spinning, and eat this so you don't get sick. We still need to get you into these shoes and the jewelry." Alice said, guiding me towards my bed.
I pouted before sitting down, careful not to wrinkle the dress, before sliding on the rest of my jewelry, and shoes.
"You look amazing, babe." Alice said.
"Amazing enough to get what we need?" I asked, as I pulled on, and adjusted my holster and weapons.
Rose nodded, "That and more. Have fun." She winked.
"Good." I replied, before picking up my clutch. "I'll see you ladies later. Don't wait up." I said as I made my way out of the room.
"The entire dinner event turned out to be some sort of casino night slasher party?" Es gasped.
I brought the tumbler of Bruichladdich up to my lips. "Yes, it's far more dangerous than we all expected." I replied softly.
"Then get out of there, Bee!" Sul replied, making the earpiece ring in my ear, causing me to wince.
"Can't. Someone's got eyes on me." I whispered, taking a sip before bringing it back down.
As I felt someone's gaze on me again.
"Who?" Es asked, concerned.
"He's wearing the Cullen crest. So my guess is he's a Cullen. Probably one of the important members. Perhaps an underboss, or consigliere, or a capo." I murmured as I felt a presence close to me.
"Be careful, Bee." Sul said.
I hummed, taking another sip as the person sat next to me at the bar.
My eyes glanced over for a second, before I went back to paying attention to the decorations in the room.
Some dinner this turned out to be.
"This is the third time we run into each other. Are you following me?" He asked, amused.
I smirked in response before motioning the bartender over.
He was tall, well built with broad shoulders, blonde hair, and baby blue eyes.
"What can I get you, beautiful?" He asked me with a dimpled smile.
"Bruichladdich four times neat please." I replied, slamming the money onto the bar.
"Sure thing ma'am. Sir? Would you like something?" He asked the man.
The man in the seat next to mine turned to look at me in surprise before turning towards the bartender.
"A rum and coke." He replied with his eyes still on me.
The bartender made quick work of the drinks before rushing back and setting them down.
I drank mine down in two gulps, loving the smoothness of it.
"Do I have something on my face?" I asked.
He smirked, before shaking his head in response, "Nothing but beauty." He replied smoothly.
I snorted, rolling my eyes, unimpressed. "How long did it take you to think of that line?" I asked, amused.
He looked away, slightly embarrassed, "A few minutes." He replied honestly.
I hummed, "It was a nice attempt. Not good enough though. It's going to take more than a few sweet words to the ear to come near me, and even then it won't be so easy to get close." I replied, slipping a fifty into the bar before standing up and walking away.
I made my way out of the massive ballroom, and headed towards the bathroom.
After relieving myself, I exited the bathroom, and began walking towards a hall.
As I made my way to the end of the hall, something felt off.
I felt his presence before I heard it.
Next thing I knew, I woke up handcuffed in what seemed to be a basement. My hands lifted above my head but a long chain.
Most of my jewelry, and shoes were gone, except the ring. And the thin chain around my ankle.
Interesting.
"Who the fuck are you?" The familiar velvet voice asked me.
The warm tone he used earlier was gone, now, it held a cold edge to it.
Sending shivers through my body.
Causing something unexpected to stir within me. Something that I knew wasn't fear…
I shook those fucking thoughts away. Refusing to have any type of feelings towards this man.
"I'll repeat this one more time. Who. The. Fuck. Are. You?" He asked.
I stared at him blankly, enjoying the silence while it lasted.
Without warning he walked up to me, hovering a few inches above my face. His long, nimble fingers reached up to jerk my chin so I looked up at him.
"Listen, bitch, you've already stolen something important from us. Now, who are you? And why are you here?" He asked angrily.
A smirk grazed my lips, as I looked up at him.
"Answer me." he growled.
Such a temperamental baby.
"My name is Isabella Swan. I was invited by a friend here. A friend who might end up getting angry when he realizes I'm gone. Can I go now?" I asked, flexing my arms and rolling my head on my shoulders to release some of the tension from my back and shoulder blades.
"I don't think so. I have a few questions for you." He replied and stepped back.
"Right… alright, well, go on, it's not like I have anywhere else I have to be." I dryly murmured.
"What did you steal the last time I saw you?" He asked.
"Nothing. I was taking in the sights. Much like tonight. Before you knocked me unconscious and dragged me to this dingy little paradise." I replied with an eyeroll.
He leaned back towards the wall, looking down at his feet before sighing and shaking his head.
"See, I would believe that if I hadn't found two guns and a knife on you when we checked you after we caught you." He replied with a smile.
"Yeah, well nowadays a person can't walk down the street let alone go out at night without something happening to them. It's a safety measure." I told him, shrugging nonchalantly.
While he looked back down at his feet, my eyes looked around the room.
The chain holding my arms up wasn't secured on anything besides a nail on the wall.
No one besides me and him were in the room.
Oh, this was child's play. Almost too easy.
With a sharp tug the chain gave way, allowing my arms to come down.
"I suppose I should have expected that." He commented dryly.
"Anything less is an insult to me." I replied as I dislocated my thumbs and slid out of the cuffs.
A moment later I popped them back into place, before smirking at him.
"Do you really want to do this?" He asked me.
I smirked at him, "I've already kicked your ass twice. Do you want me to do it again?" I asked, amused.
My smirk widening as I saw his eyes narrow.
"Don't get too cocky. You caught me off guard both times." He snapped, as we circled each other.
I scoffed, "Please, we both know I can kick your ass any day of the week. So, why not admit to yourself?"
"You're pushing it, Isabella." He growled.
"How? I'm simply stating the truth. That you can't handle it, is a whole other issue by itself." I sniped.
He growled and charged towards me, in a pussy like fashion, causing me to move to the side.
"Sloppy and pussy like. Not a surprise." I commented as I moved away from him.
"Shut your fucking mouth." He growled, as he dived towards me again.
This time he manages to pin me against the wall.
Gathering both my wrists in one of his large, tattooed hands. He is breathing hard.
His breath smells of whiskey, cigars, and mint. Enticing.
Focus, Bee. Get out of here alive.
"Oh, looks like you caught me, big boy. What are you going to do now?" I asked, challengingly.
He stared down at me for a moment, muttering something before suddenly smashing his lips to mine.
I froze, my body going rigid for a moment before it began to respond.
His hand dropped my hand allowing me to slide my hands into the hair my fingers had been itching to run through.
I could feel the heat of his hands as they slid down my body, until they pulled me onto his hips.
A sexy, deep groan left his throat as I wrapped my legs around his hips.
Deliciously rubbing on a sensitive spot between my legs.
"Fuck…" he groaned, before his lips connected to the side of my throat as I threw my head back and gasped, pressing myself closer to him.
The need to be closer to him overwhelming me.
We both pressed into each other harder, groans filling the room, as his lips continued to nip, lick, and suck on the skin of my throat.
My body felt as if it had been lit on fire. Every cell ablaze.
Without warning his hips snapped forward, and rubbed again, surprising the hell out of me when he groaned again.
The sound was downright sinful, and sent me over the edge, causing me to orgasm harder than I've ever done before.
I shook my head to clear the haze as I reached over to pinch the place between his neck and shoulder that I knew would have him out like a light.
As he fell backwards, I grabbed onto him and hauled him onto a chair, using the chain and a lock I found, to secure him to a chair.
"Fuck, where are my things?" I murmured as I looked around the room.
They were on a plastic box in the corner of the room.
I quickly slid them back on before turning to look for a possible exit.
I found one in the shape of a window on the far side of the room.
Before I climbed out the window I saw a piece of paper. I quickly scribbled something on the paper before sliding it into his pocket.
"Too easy." I murmured, as I hauled myself up and out of the window.
I made it down the block before I heard my phone ring.
"Bee?! Where the hell are you?" Didy asked.
"Relax, I made it out alive. Sadly, I wasn't able to get what we needed." I told her.
"Don't worry about it, Charlie called us earlier. He has the information. You can meet him later to retrieve it. Get your ass back here!" She ordered.
"I'm on my way." I sighed, hanging up as I rushed towards my car.
What a night.
