Johnny's Dream POV

We go to Johnny dreaming about the night of December 19, 1984. The crowd cheers and we see a younger version of himself standing on the mat with Kresse. Johnny had just injured Daniel's leg and the tournament give Daniel 15 minutes to recover. The announcer is on the mat, about to give the trophy to Johnny.

Announcer: "All right ladies and gentlemen, this is the moment you've all been waiting for.

The presenta..."

A younger version of Ali Mills runs up on the mat and whispers into the announcer's ear.

"Daniel LaRusso is going to fight? Daniel LaRusso is going to fight!", yelled the announcer.

Kresse and Johnny look back in shock as Daniel limps his way onto the mat. Both Daniel and Johnny got into fighting stances and the match began.

Johnny runs up and decides to send a kick to Daniel, which he dodges. Johnny sends another kick that Daniel counters. Daniel counters a punch and another kick. Johnny sends two kicks that counter and miss. That is when Daniel found an opening on Johnny and punches his stomach.

LaRusso 1 - 0 Lawrence

Both fighters return to their spots and the next round began. Johnny attempts to send a fake punch to Daniel's side and Johnny uses this to knock Daniel down. Daniel gets back up quickly, and the two fighters wait to attack each other, to see if the other fighter is going to attack first. Johnny sends a kick to Daniel that misses, and Daniel uses this to his advantage by using both of his legs to put Johnny on the ground and hit his back.

LaRusso 2 - 0 Lawrence

Kresse called a time-out to speak to Johnny. Someone in the crowd yells, "Johnny, you're a cream puff!"

"Sweep the leg.", said Kresse.

Johnny looks at him, hesitantly.

"You have a problem with that?", Kresse replied.

Johnny: "No, Sensei."

"No mercy.", said Kresse. Johnny then goes back onto the mat. Daniel is hopping on his leg.

"Two points, LaRusso. Lawrence, nothing. Ready? Fight!", yelled the ref.

We then see how Johnny gets his two points. The first one is by kicking LaRusso's leg and kneeing side. The second one is by grabbing his leg and while LaRusso is trying to dodge by rolling on the floor, Johnny attacks him with multiple blows and hit him near LaRusso's leg.

LaRusso 2 - 2 Lawrence

The score is tied and whoever wins the next point wins. Johnny then decides to attack the middle of Daniel's injured leg. In the final round, Daniel hops on good leg, raising both of his arms, and the other leg up to his waist. It then Daniel kicks Johnny in the face and gets his last point.

Johnny lands on the mat and groans in pain. The announcer announces Daniel LaRusso as the new All-Valley champion.

Nobody's POV, Present Day

{Johnny and Jaden's apartment}

Jaden is having a rather, interesting dream.

"Ladies, Ladies, there enough of me to go around", replied Jaden in his dream. He had Halle Steinfeld on his left side and Selena Gomez on his right side, taking turns kissing him. It was an awesome experience. Right when the good part is about to happen, he suddenly wakes up from his sleep.

" It was a dream? S###"!, said an angry Jaden. He looks at his bed and he has a woody. He looks at the time and sighs.

"Dad, get your old ass up!", yelled Jaden.

Johnny and Jaden take showers and get dressed. Johnny gets some fired bologna up on the grill.

"Dad, we've been eating this for the past few days. Why can't we get something like Starbucks?", complained Jaden?

Johnny: "You know we're on a budget."

Jaden's mind: "Budget on what, buying beers?!".

They both eat the bologna and head outside. Johnny gets the trash bag out. Jaden and Johnny then see a skinny Ecuadorian kid outside.

"Hey, I'm Miguel. My family and I just moved into 109", said the Ecuadorian.

Johnny: Great, more immigrants."

"Actually, we're from Riverside", said Miguel.

"Hey, don't mind my dad, he's always like this. My name is Jaden, welcome", said the boy goldilocks.

Miguel: "Thanks."

"But anyway, I was wondering if you were having trouble with your water pressure, cause I know our sinks' being a little weird right now", said the talkative boy.

Miguel then sees Johnny putting the trash in the wrong bin.

Miguel: "Oh, bottles go in the blue bin."

That is when Johnny has enough and lost his close.

"Listen, Menudo, I've lived in this hellhole for over ten years. The pipe's don't work. The fountain's full of piss. And the only good thing about being here is I don't have to talk to anybody besides my son. So nice knowing you."

Johnny then walks away to his car, but Jaden goes over to Miguel, real quick.

"Hurry up Jaden", yelled Johnny.

"Coming, just give me a sec!"

Jaden: "Hey, what's your phone number? Got to show the newbie around town later."

Miguel chuckles.

"Okay, my phone number is #-###-###-####", replied Miguel."

"Hurry up or I'm leaving you", yelled Johnny

Jaden: "Ok, see you, Miguel."

Jaden gets into the Firebird car with Johnny and leaves the apartment complex.

{Driving Outside}

While driving, Johnny and Jaden see a billboard on LaRusso's Auto. Johnny is frustrated with this because to him, Daniel won off that illegal kick. Jaden pats his dad on the shoulder to try to make him calm.

They then see a jogger stretching and both Johnny and Jaden check her out.

"Hey", replied a slick Johnny.

The jogger calls them creeps and jogs away.

"Man, she got a nice monkey", said Jaden still looking.

Johnny drops off Jaden to do his work and Johnny goes to his job. He's putting the TV on the side of the door and applying it. The woman of the house checks it out and doesn't like it. Long story short, Johnny got fired from them. Near the end of the day, Johnny picks up Jaden from his babysitting job and Johnny is talking on the phone with someone called Mike.

"No, No, No, No, I didn't call her a b####. I said she was bitching at me. There's a difference", said a frustrated Johnny.

Johnny: "You're firing me because of that b####"?

"I hated this damn job, anyways. You better pay me what you own me, Mike!", replied an angry Johnny.

Johnny hangs up the phone and Jaden, who lean on the side of the car door, decides to speak up.

"You know you could have a really good tip from that lady", said Jaden.

Johnny: "What the hell are you talking about?"

"I think you know what I mean", smirks Jaden as he gets inside the car. Johnny still doesn't understand what he means by that.

{Jaden's POV, Corner Store}

It's nighttime now. We are at the convenience store, looking for some food. I decided to settle on some Coke Cola and Lays Chips. My dad looks at the nasty pizza that had. The cleck put his dirty ass hands in to get the pizza.

"Aren't you going to wear gloves?", said Johnny.

The cleck ignores him and the door rings. I see Miguel walk in.

"Hey Miguel", I replied.

"Hey Jaden", he answered back.

He then said some Spanish to the cleck and Miguel had got some Pepto Bismol.

"You sick or something", I asked.

"No, it's not for me. My grandma not feeling well", replied Miguel.

My dad didn't really care and just wanted his pizza slice. The cashier then said something in Spanish that might be offending. I still trying to learn it, so I'm not sure. My dad got offended and ask Miguel what the cleck said. Miguel said that the cleck said that Johnny had a tiny dick. I was cracking up when he says that. Turns out, the cleck can speak English and my dad just threw the money, mad. I left with Coke and chips. We then see Kyler, Matthew, and their friends walk past us and both me and Kyler look at each other but said nothing. We sat down and started eating. The homeless lady was bothering us for a bit until Miguel got into some trouble.

"Why the hell you blow up our spot, man", yelled Kyler. I saw Miguel walking back scared.

"I didn't know you were trying to buy beer, I'm sorry", replied a pleading Miguel.

Miguel gets pushed by Kyler and his friends laugh. I didn't get up because I wanted to see if Miguel could defend himself.

Kyler: "Oh, what do we got here? Pepto. Oh shit, someone has frickin diarrhea!""

"Could you give it back dude, it's for my grandma.", said Miguel.

"It's for your grandma", Kyler said in a fake sorry tone. "I'm sorry man, here you can take all that". He then dumps the Pepto Bismol all over Miguel's hair.

Kyler: "B####."

Kyler and his friends decided to leave until Miguel said something.

"Assholes.", Miguel said quietly.

Kyler: "What you say, Rhea?"

"I didn't say anything", said Miguel.

Kyler then punches Miguel in the stomach. Miguel tries to run away, run then he gets pushed into dad's Firebird car. I had enough and got up.

"Hey Kyler, why don't you leave him alone?", I replied.

"Hey, goldilocks, why you always got to take up for the losers, huh? You could join us. It's bad enough that you're friends with Skeleton and Lip", said Matthew.

They also ask me many times to join them, but I always said no. It's bad enough they turn Sam away from me. I had enough of their crap. I charge up and sent a kick to Kyler's stomach. He groans in pain and chuckles.

"All right, your choice Goldilocks", he says.

He then got Brucks and Rory to grab on me and Kyler then sent multiple punches to me. At this sign of his son getting beat up, dad got up.

"Hey, just leave the dork and my son alone", he said.

Rory: "You see this guy? Eating his dinner at the mini-mart like a bum."

"Oh wait I know this dude. He's the jerk-off who cleaned my dad's septic tank", said Kyler.

"That explains why he smells like s###", replied Brucks.

"All right, trust me, you guys are pissing off the wrong guy on the wrong day, all right", Johnny replied threatened.

Kyler: "Oh really? Get the hell out of here loser!"

Kyler then pushes my dad. At this, he had enough and send a kick to Kyler's face, pulling a hamstring. Now the next part, I had to ask Miguel what happen because I got beat up and couldn't my head hurt. Miguel explains it like it was the most awesomeness thing he had ever seen. He said my dad was flipping, sent kicks, and put Kyler in a chokehold. I snap out of the dizziness when I heard cops coming.

My dad was sent to jail for fighting teenagers. Sent my dad was in jail, Miguel offers to stay the night at his house, which I take up.

"Hello, you must be Jaden", said a beautiful Latino woman. She looked very hot. I learned that her name was Carmen.

"Hi, Ms. Diaz", I said in a romantic way. I grab her hand and kiss it and she chuckles. I think Miguel saw the way I was acting in front of his mom because when she wasn't looking, he punched my shoulder, so I can snap out of it. When we walked to Miguel's room when I saw his grandma, who he calls Yaya. It turns out that Carmen and Yaya really like me. They cooked amazing food and even learned some Spanish from them. Couldn't wait to talk behind Johnny. Miguel and I were talking for hours about Marvel, Pokémon, Stars Wars, etc. It was great to have a new friend. Couldn't wait to introduce them to Eli and Demetri when school started. Anyways, the next day, my dad got out of jail, and I and Miguel waited for him.

Jaden's POV ended

Nobody's POV

"So last night, was that, like, Tae Kwon Do or jujitsu or MMA or something?", asked Miguel curiously.

Johnny: "It's old-school karate."

"Do you think you could teach us?", asked Miguel. I was surprised. I knew that he had taken karate when he was younger, but the thought of it was actually interesting.

Johnny: "No."

Miguel/Jaden: "What?"

"Come on, when school starts, those guys are gonna make my life miserable.", said Miguel.

Johnny: "I miss the part where that's my problem."

"What? If we just knew a little bit of what you knew then..."

"Forget it, I don't do karate anymore. All right? Besides, I need to find a job.", said Johnny.

"You could open up your own karate school.", Jaden said.

"It's called a dojo.", said Johnny."

"Well, you could open your own dojo.", I said.

"Look, I'm not getting into this with you guys, all right? I'm not even sure I'm allowed to be around kids right now besides you Jaden. All right, you want my advice? Stop being so annoying. Maybe you'll stop getting your ass kicked" Johnny said to Miguel. "And you stop hanging with the wrong crowd", he said to Jaden.

Jaden says goodbye to Miguel and he and Johnny go into the apartment. He then sees his step-grandfather, Sid in the house. Sid tells them they have been eating bad meat. Sid said that he bailed Johnny out and told him about the Applebee incident. Sid then talks about Johnny's mom. Jaden knew that Johnny didn't really like to talk about her because it's put him in a bad mood for the rest of the day.

"Little did I know I'd be taking care of her schmuck kid forever", said Sid.

"Yeah, Sid, you were the stepfather of the century", said Johnny.

"Huh, well praise, coming from a world-class daddy like you", said Sid with a comeback.

"Hey", Jaden yelled. "It may have screwed up with me, for the begin, but he made it up now", Jaden kinda yelled.

Johnny looks at Jaden and had a little smile. He may have messed up many relationships before, but the one thing that keeps him going is him. Sid rolls his eyes.

"How old are Robby and you, Jaden? 15, 16?"

"We are 15, we turn 16 on February 4th", said Jaden with a sad tone. He still misses Robby. Johnny sees Jaden's tone and gets angry.

"Just get the hell out of here, man", yelled Johnny.

"I'll get the hell out of here when I'm goddamn good and ready", yelled back Sid.

Rhonda told Sid about his blood pressure and Sid told her to put a cork in it. Sid then gives Johnny the reason he came here. He gives him a check of money. Johnny then rips it up saying he would rather be homeless than taking it from him. Sid then has to leave because of lunch, but before he leaves, he tells Johnny is basically like the meat in the fridge. It takes everything in Jaden not to beat up Sid as Johnny holds him back. For the rest of the day, Jaden has basically been watching YouTube and TikTok. Before he went to sleep, Johnny told him that he going to take a drive. Jaden doesn't care and goes to sleep. {About the dream he had at the beginning of the chapter.}

{LaRusso Auto}

The next day, Johnny told Jaden that his car got crashed by some high school girls. He says that they had to go to LaRusso Auto. So, Jaden got up, got dress, and went with his dad.

When they went inside, Johnny wanted to avoid contact with other people. When talking to the clerk he did the same. Just as they were about to leave, he's sees his worst nightmare from 1984.

"Johnny Lawrence? Oh wow, how the hell are you", asks Daniel.

Johnny: "Fine."

"You still got those golden locks, eh? God, this is crazy. How you been", he asks.

Daniel looks at Jaden and then looks at Johnny.

"Wow, kid, you look just like your father when he was younger. What's your name?", Daniel asks.

"Jaden, Jaden Lawerence", Jaden replies coldly. He didn't really like LaRusso. After all, he made his dad's life hell. However, his daughter was a different story. He used to be good friends with her and would've been more if Kyler and his friends hadn't taken her.

Daniel then calls Anoush and Louie to see Johnny.

"This is Johnny Lawrence. He and I go way back, right, buddy? This guy was the toughest dude in my high school. When I first moved here from Jersey, he and I got into a little bit. This guy really had it in for me.", said Daniel.

"Yeah, well, you did move in on his girl.", said Jaden.

Daniel was shocked that Johnny told Jaden the story about them.

"Well, she actually wasn't really his girl anymore, was she", said Daniel. Then he realizes that he was arguing with a teenager about something that happen 33 years ago and it wasn't really worth fighting over a girl he broke up with years ago.

"I mean Ah, all right, that's all water under the bridge.", said Daniel.
Louie and Anoush wanted to know if it's the same guy he's kicked in the tournament. Daniel had said he kicked him in the face. To make a long story short, Johnny was about to square up against Daniel, but Louie and Anoush kinda have to hold him back.

Jaden and Johnny then saw LaRusso's daughter, Sam, walk in the dealership.

"You got to be kidding me.", said Johnny.

Jaden is looking at Sam like she's an angel. However, he snaps out of it when Daniel comes back.

Daniel wanted to fix the car for free. Which Johnny refuse multiple times before agreeing.

Before Johnny and Jaden left, Daniel had given them two Bonsai trees for them and says something that might change their lives.

"And, hey, look, I don't blame you for what happened back in the day, all right? I know that wasn't you. It was Cobra Kai. We're all better off without it, am I right? All right, take care of yourself, and I'll call you when the car's ready, okay? This is crazy. You look-you look- It's good to see you, man.", Daniel says as he goes back into the dealership.

Johnny and Jaden then walk away to go home when Johnny throws his bonsai tree on the ground and slaps Jaden's bonsai tree on the ground as well.

"Hey, I wanted to keep that.", Jaden said.

"Too bad. You know about the whole dojo idea you and Miguel wanted to do.", he asked.

"Yeah, but you said..."

"F###, what I said, we're doing it, and I want you to be my first student of my new Cobra Kai. So, what do you say?"

"Yes!", Jaden said quickly.

Johnny laughs and smirks. When they reach their apartment complex, Jaden says something.

"I think I know who our second student of Cobra Kai is", he said.

"You thought correctly", said Johnny.

Johnny and Jaden walk up to Miguel when he was putting away the trash.

"Are you sure you're ready? 'Cause once you go down this path, there's no turning back", Johnny said to Miguel.

"You're going to be our karate teacher?", he asks excitedly.

"No, I'm gonna be y'all sensei", said Johnny.

"I'm gonna teach you two the style of karate that was taught to me. A method of fighting your p#### generation desperately needs. I'm not just gonna teach you how to conquer your fears. I'm gonna teach you how to awaken the snake within you. And once you do that, you'll be the one who's feared. You'll build strength. You'll learn discipline. And when the time is right, You'll strike back".

Miguel and Jaden look at each other and smirk.
