Criminal Minds! Focus is more on character development than BAU cases. People will fall in love with each other, but I'm taking it slow, starting with a strong JJ/Emily friendship. All season 3 main characters will be present. Rating may go up later, but for now it's equal to what you'd see on the show. Takes place after Miami in Season 3, when JJ's relationship with Will is outed.

While on a case, Emily Prentiss finds her destiny. Only, now, rather than running away, she decides to stick it whole-heartedly

Season 14 of Criminal Minds gave us a crazy little episode called "Truth or Dare", which Jemily shippers will remember well. A pause in a scene gave me so much hope and then the writers took it elsewhere. This is where I think the episode should have gone and what should have come afterward. This is obviously Jemily, not a slow burn, and a lot more fluff than angst. For once.

"No, no way" Emily protested, not even looking up from her computer. "What do you mean no way?" JJ asked, mildly offended by how dismissive her boss was being. "No way as in no one would ever believe it" Emily responded, now moving various pieces of paper around her desk attempting to look focused. The blonde stepped towards the desk and placed both her hands down on the papers.

After a long case, Spencer Reid tries his best to keep being his best. So instead of bed or doing something regrettable, he goes to a bookstore. There the not so unmoveable object meets a force that will not be denied, even if it will get it's way gently.

JJ is having nightmares about her sister's suicide and worries that it may be a warning. Everyone is dealing with something and JJ's worries are taking her over. This story was inspired by the song Self Conclusion by The Spill Canvas. It's a beautiful song. Includes all core characters and will eventually be JJ/Emily. Rated T for now, may change later.
