Dad clapped his hands excitedly, and turned to Triton, "Go tell the workers and Cyclops to recreate the island, and make it into a paradise. I want a palace, twice the size of Zeus', tell them to take Briares with them."

I was open-mouthed staring at him, "Isn't that a bit overboard?" I asked as I looked at my father and step-mother, giving orders for the island that even my brother. The messenger of the sea was having trouble keeping up with.

"Nonsense, I always wanted another son as a crowned prince of seas. Now that I have the chance I am going to make it grand." Poseidon said, and laughed like a maniac. Which caused, Amphitrite to whack him.

She turned to me and said, "At least stay with us till your island is finished."

I agreed to her request, and decided to stay with them for a while.

Third Person Pov

Percy Jackson has been lost in legends for five years now. The great son of Poseidon, whose mere name used to strike fear in the hearts of monsters, and his enemies, was lost for five years now. The last time they had seen him was when he walked out of a burning house in the city of New Rome and vanished.

The Gods had informed them, that the only people to know Percy's location was Poseidon, and his family. And Poseidon had refused to share his son's location. Not willing for people to go knocking on his door, and disrupt the peace he desired. Zeus' had backed Poseidon's word and said that the world owes the demigod peace.

That didn't stop the people at Camp Half-Blood from trying. He was a brother to many of them; a second father to most of the younger demigods. They would wake up early in the morning just so they could train with him. And now he was gone, and had taken their hearts with him.

Chiron wished he could have the chance to see his star pupil again. Chiron had trained many heroes, who grew up to be legends. Achilles, Hercules were examples of that. But none could touch his heart as much as Percy had. The son of Poseidon, was the kindest and gentlest soul he had ever met. Despite all the power he held, and the skills he had, he never let it get to his head. Campers that knew him mourned for him every time his name was brought up, and it was brought up a lot of the time.

No one felt despair like a certain daughter of Athena. She would daily visit the Poseidon cabin and look at the pictures that hung in it. Picture of her and Percy kissing, under Thalia's tree. She found out the plan he had hidden, for their house, their home. She couldn't believe her own actions; why did she betray him like that? She loved him more than anything; she had stood against her mother for him. Taken a knife for him, searched the entire continent for him, when he was kidnapped by Hera. The more she tried to think about why she betrayed her seaweed brain, the more her headache grew.

The monster sightings were increasing recently, they were reforming faster than usual. The demigods stopped going out of camp, unless it was necessary.

Line-Break

The hunters were overwhelmed with monsters right now; never once had they dealt with this many monsters at once before. If this kept going, they weren't going to survive.

Thalia was moving her spear around like it was an extension of her limb. She was fighting the hordes of monsters trying to reach them. She had to keep the younger hunters safe; they were her responsibility. She was the lieutenant of the hunt, responsible for the lives of every one of her hunters.

A hellhound ran at her and she was too late to see it. She used her spear to block the hellhound's paw, but it wasn't needed. An arrow wheezed past her head, and embedded it in the middle of the hellhound's eyes. Thalia turned to see that Phoebe, one of the eldest hunters, had just saved her. She nodded her head in appreciation, while Phoebe winked at her, and gave a flying kiss.

Thalia went back to fighting and decimated an entire group of empousai, nasty creatures. She moved forward, enjoying the fight; the monsters were almost gone. Arrows flew everywhere, killing monsters left and right.

Their Lady Artemis, was a sight to behold. She was taking on the stronger monsters herself, slaying everything in sight. The area around Artemis, had turned golden, from all the monster dust. She was wielding her twin hunting knives, and was a whirlpool of destruction herself. Her hunters were on the other side of the battle, and she was on the other.

A monster came on the other side of the battle, laughing, "Well well look what we have here? The hunters of Artemis, I'm going to take my revenge now."

Thalia turned to see the monster she had seen all those years ago in Maine. It was the manticore, a monster she truly hated. Thalia smoothly fought her way to the manticore, carving the monsters at her way with ease. The monster dust couldn't even settle in the ground, before she had moved on to another. Someone threw a club at her head, but it didn't reach her; a hunter had deflected it. Thalia looked at who it was.

Reyna Avilla Ramirez-Arellano, the ex-praetor of New Rome, had joined the hunt, about two years after the end of the giant war. She was the first Roman demigod to ever join the hunt. Her skills in battle were second to none. When she fought, she stroked fear in the enemy's hearts.

Thalia shouted her thanks and moved towards the manticore, but stopped dead in her tracks. The manticore, had pushed his tail through the heart of a younger hunter. Emily, she was a young addition to their ranks; the 9 year old had joined the hunt only 6 months ago.

Thalia looked around for any other causalities; the younger hunters were knocked unconscious by monsters. Many of them had suffered grave injuries. Thalia glanced at her remaining hunters. They were getting overwhelmed, fighting for more than an hour.

"MILADY," Thalia screeched as she saw another hunter fall down to the Manticore.

Artemis turned to her lieutenant's scream, and what she saw made her heart clench. Many of her hunters were unconscious, about to become monster food, and two had already fallen. Her silver eyes blazed with fury, when she saw that the Manticore was responsible for her hunter's demise. Her weapon of power, the divine bow, materialized in her hands, and she fired an arrow at the manticore.

The arrow sailed past her hunters, and monsters straight to the Manticore's heart. The Manticore exploded in an explosion and golden dust covered everything around where he once was.

Artemis looked at Thalia and nodded. Thalia's eyes widened and she turned to where her hunters were, "Hunters fall down, eyes closed."

The hunters understood immediately and complied. When Artemis saw that her hunters were safe, she brought forth her divine form. An explosion occurred and every single monster in a mile radius was reduced to nothing.

Artemis took her usual 12 form and immediately moved towards her hunters. Many of them had injuries that would prove fatal if not treated immediately. "APOLLO," she screamed, looking at the sky.

Immediately, a bright flash of light occur and Apollo arrived, smiling. He was about to make a joke, when he saw his sister's face. Before he could ask anything, Artemis pleaded, "Please save them brother."

Apollo's cheery mood vanished, and his serious doctor's face appeared. He nodded and looked for their injuries, "I can't heal it here, I would have to take them to my temple." He said to Artemis, and vanished in a flash of light, along with the injured hunters.

Artemis, and her remaining hunters, turned to the fallen one. Three had fallen in battle. Emily, a 9 year old mortal, Amber a 11 year old daughter of Athena, and Atlanta, daughter of Apollo. Atlanta had been with the hunters for more than 1000 years.

Artemis cried for her hunters, and soon she gave them their funeral rites. And sent them to the realm of Hades.

Artemis took the rest of her hunters and flashed themselves to Apollo's temple. Apollo informed them that the hunters would be up and running in a few hours. Artemis, Thalia, Reyna, Phoebe, and the rest of the hunters waited those hours outside, for their sisters to recover.

When the hunters woke up, Artemis told them to rest and took the hunters that weren't injured with her to the throne room.

Artemis' hunters settled down at the foot of her mistress' throne. While the moon goddess walked to the center of the throne room and fired an arrow at the ceiling. Signaling, for an emergency council meeting.

One by one, the 13 Olympians flashed in, and looked around; when they saw the hunters, they looked at Artemis in question.

"Daughter, why have you summoned the council?" Zeus, the King of Gods asked, his daughter's hunters looked injured.

"Today the hunt was attacked by a very large monster army, almost 300 of them." Artemis informed them, and the Olympians straightened their back. An army of 300 monsters were last seen in the giant war.

Zeus motioned for her to continue, and she did. Artemis told them about everything that had happened. How the manticore had reformed and was leading the army; how her 3 hunters were dead. And that many of her hunters were still healing in Apollo's temple.

"Monsters have been sighted in rather large numbers lately, they are reforming fast." Artemis concluded her findings with the rest of the council.

The council was worried about what it meant. It sounded like the monsters were gathering for a bigger goal. They hoped it didn't mean that a war was coming; they weren't ready for that, and the demigods were sure as hell weren't ready for it. But for now their bigger concern was the well-being of the hunters.

Zeus was sitting, and listening to Artemis' recent experience with the monsters, frowning. He may not care for many things, but he cared for his daughters well-being. He had two daughters on the hunt, today; instead of those hunters, Thalia could've fallen to a monster. That thought scared him. He had to make a hard decision about their safety.

Artemis looked at her father for his input in the situation.

Zeus looked at his daughter, "Artemis, I am worried for your safety. So I hate to do this to you, and I know you're going to hate me for it. But I have no choice, daughter. You have two choices, either you and your hunters stay in the demigod camp, for as long as we don't learn what these sightings mean."

Artemis interrupted him, "Or?"

Zeus took a deep breath and said, "Or you get a male guardian, for your and your hunt's security."

Artemis and her hunters eyes widened. "What?" They all shouted at the King of Gods.

Thunder shook the building, quieting down the hunters and Artemis' shouts of disapproval.

"I have two daughters in the hunt, that I don't want to see hurt. As well, the rest of the council have their daughters in the hunt. Either you stay in the safety of the border of Camp Half-Blood, or you get yourself a guardian. This isn't an option, it's an order from your father and King." Zeus closed the matter, and looked at his daughter, daring her to deny his decision.

Artemis looked conflicted, she had spent millennia with her hunters without the influence of a male in her hunt. The last time she allowed a male into her hunt, Orion, the son of Poseidon, had tried to rape her hunters. She didn't want that to happen again, and on the other hand. Artemis would not let anyone or anything cage her and her hunters like animals. She was the goddess of the hunt. She belonged in the wild. Not the demigod camp, where the most exciting thing was the weekly capture of the flag game.

She mentally conversed with her hunters, before coming to an agreement. She turned to Zeus and said, "We would take the guardian, Lord Zeus."

Zeus knew his daughter was angry and hurt by his decision, but sometimes a parent has to make hard decisions for their children. No matter how much hate they get.

"Who are your options for guardian?" She asked Zeus, and looked around at the rest of the council. They were sitting silently watching the father and daughter converse.

Zeus thought about the options he had for his daughter, "You can have either Heracles or Apollo as your guardian." Zeus decided, and Artemis nearly growled.

She wasn't allowing Apollo anywhere near her hunters, as much as she loved her brother. She couldn't trust him with her maidens. She was definitely not going to have Heracles as their guardian, if he even got into a mile radius of her hunters. She would make him fade.

Both options weren't working for her; she looked around the council to see if there was any other choice. She looked around the council until her eyes landed on Poseidon. She remembered that his latest demigod son was the only male on earth she trusted wholeheartedly. She looked at her hunters. Thalia and Reyna, who already were friends with him. Even the biggest man-hater aside from herself, Zoe Nightshade, her late lieutenant had become friends with him. She knew he would make friends with the rest of the hunters easily, too.

She looked at her father and said, "I have agreed to your decision of having a male guardian father. But I would like to choose my guardian myself, and I have the perfect man for the job. Though I'm afraid he hasn't been spotted in years." Artemis gave her father the smile, that she knew he couldn't refuse her wish.

Zeus nodded, anything to keep his daughter safe, "You tell me who is this person and I would have every God in my disposal searching for him."

Artemis smirked as she looked around; most were confused and leaning forward to learn of the man Artemis had chosen herself. Except Hestia, the goddess of hearth, was smirking along with her; she must've guessed Artemis' choice.

"Oh you don't have to that father. I believe Poseidon already knows his location, after all he is his son." Artemis smiled widely as their eyes widened, "I want Percy Jackson to be my Guardian."
