Just my take on the fallout of The Final Problem and that now famous phone call. I really loved the end scene montage and felt like a fic would fill in some gaps. Sherlock learns how to have emotions like a big boy should. Molly is her awesome self.

Sherlock had always been drawn to an unsolved mystery like a moth to a flame much to John's dismay so when Molly brings an age old Russian Mystery to Sherlock's attention, it's just too good to ignore.

Sherlock has received no new cases and is desperate for another one until John decides to take him to a hotel, but John has a purpose that he can't wait to express towards Sherlock.

Sherlock can't help but feel that losing Mary was his fault. He is grieving and guilty when he reluctantly reaches out to Irene. She begins to ease the weight on his chest just before Eurus devises an entirely new plan to simultaneously get to know her brother better and possibly ruin his life. That's sisters for you. Rated M in case smut happens in later chapters.

The few telling signs quickly let him know why they had suddenly stopped talking the second he had arrived: it was about John. And wasn't it always?
