Post-Reichenbach. John tries to deal with Sherlock's death through a new means – a diary. But will it be enough, or will it take something stronger to keep him going? Rated T to be safe as later episodes touch on the idea of suicide.

AU. On the run from the East India Company, John becomes a stowaway on a ship. However his luck takes a turn for the worse when said ship sinks during a storm. Passing by the wreck a mysterious crew saves him and John meets the eccentric Captain Sherlock Holmes who takes him on board as the ship's doctor. Slow-build story. Johnlock. K for now.
