Éowyn is an endlessly fascinating character to me. This is her story, to my mind. Chapter 1 how she became a shieldmaiden. This story will eventually merge with my story of Faramir, "Bound by Duty; Bound by Joy" where they meet. It is her story in that story arc.

Legolas and his friends didn't become some of the most important figures and assets in the Greenwood army by chance or by favoritism, they became that way because they simply didn't give Thranduil any other choice in the matter.

This started as a 30-day challenge to post something 1000 words or less every day from a one-word prompt. I extended the challenge to 40 days, and now that I'm in school I find this too much fun to stop completely, and so I will be trying to update every weekend or every other weekend at the very least. Most of them are Legolas - Thranduil centered!
