Chapter 2
Fire Force Company 8 Cathedral…
Obi looked at the file in his hand and with his Lt. standing across the room from him, the head of company 5 and Maki also standing there looking over reports.
"It would seem this Naruto Uzumaki is quite interesting person."
Obi looked up at Maki looking through the file,
"Actually," he cuts into his LT's thought, "It is Uzumaki Naruto. He is a proto-nationalist so he should be referred as such."
"Right." Hinawa sighed and looked through the report they had. "It would seem that he is an exceptional fire soldier rookie. But there is almost no record of his work outside of complaints and confrontations with local members of the church. Apparently, they all were viewed in favor of Uzumaki and most were removed from the area with the company as long as they didn't cause a bigger scene elsewhere. A couple have tried to discredit him but they were quickly shut down."
Obi shook his head,
"Of course, the head of the Fire Force told me he is the son of a legend. I'm sure we are all familiar with the proto-nationalist named Uzumaki-Namikaze Kushina correct?"
Princess Hibana nodded her head,
"Yes from what anyone has gathered she was a force of nature. The church feared her more than they feared Benimaru due mostly to her more than ruthless personality to do things her own way. She followed the same teachings of Amaterasu that her son talks about."
"Yeah." Maki frowned, "From what others at the site told us, Naruto is talking about an old goddess and not the power plant itself so the distinction is made when he talks about it. But," Looking closer at the folder, "His mother was a proto-nationalist so how did he end up in Company One?"
Obi sighed and rubbed the back of his head while walking over to the window,
"From what I have been able to gather, he was brought in by the captain himself. He was such a unique case that he grew up in the force most of his younger years and was even hand trained by Burns himself. Some speculate that Burns has his personal reasons or that he might have had some kind of affair with Kushina at a time. But no one is 100% sure." Obi turned to the group, "But regardless I do know one thing and that is there is more to him than meets the eye and I think that he might be behind our little attacker in the 5th."
"If so," The Lt pushed his glasses up, "Does that mean he is trying to find the same information that we were looking for?"
"Possibly but with Burns it is hard to say and honestly the last thing I want to do is go barging into his office without concrete facts and physical evidence."
The group nodded their head and soon continued looking over the file and trying to understand the mysterious force of the 1st and how dangerous this child could possibly be.
Fire Force Company 1 Cathedral…
Naruto lay at the base of a tree, headphones in as he had his eyes closed, arms under his head with his leg over his knee, bobbing as he listened to a CD with music that he bought at the Rock Museum.
His headband was pulled down over his eyes to keep the light out.
A soft wind blew across the area, causing the tree branches and leaves to move in its desired direction.
'It's been five days since those other rookies showed up.' Naruto thought lazily as he enjoyed his rest. 'So far they are keeping to themselves and to the training, but they are here looking for something. We'll all I can do is wait until they make a move but at the same time, I have no clue where that bug is from and who is using others of his kind.'
"Ah-ha!" A familiar voice said loud enough for Naruto to hear, causing him to reach up and move his head band, cracking an eye open to see Tamaki, irritated, pointing at him. "I found you."
Currently, it was their shared day off, meaning both members of the Fire Force were in casual clothing or in Naruto's case no jacket and uniform.
Naruto wore torn blue jeans with a burnt orange shirt, a wrist band on his right wrist. He still wore his headband with white sneakers on his feet.
Tamaki, meanwhile, wore an off-shoulder shirt (Dark blue sleeves with red torso with a cat on it) revealing she was wearing a black tank top under it with her bra straps exposed. She is wearing shorts with her black leggings and boots. She held a brown paper bag in her hand that was on her hips as she stared down at him with a disapproving look.
"What is it Tama, it's our day off?" Naruto asked as he shifted, pulling his headphones off to listen to her, pushing his headband back down over his eyes as he continued to relax.
"YOU were not at assembly, again." She stated with a huff.
"Anything new?" Naruto asked lackadaisically.
"And…" Tamaki said as she placed the bag on his stomach. "You didn't eat this morning, so I decided to be nice…" Naruto snorted, stifling a laugh. "And bring you some breakfast."
"Well, thanks, I guess." Naruto replied as he pushed his headband up to uncover his eyes, sitting up. "I mean… Thank you, Tamaki. You are a good friend."
Tamaki smiled with her hands behind her.
"Well, we have been friends for two years now…" Tamaki replied bashfully. "Especially since…"
Naruto sat up, remembering the day they met.
Flashback…
Two Years Prior…
Tamaki nervously walked through Fire Force Company 1 with Rekka giving her a tour of the cathedral.
"And this way leads to the…"
"HOLY SOL WILL SEND YOU TO ETERNAL DAMNATION, FILTHY PROTO-NATIONALIST!"
Tamaki heard this shout and turned, seeing an angry (Yelling) Naruto be dragged away by Karim and Li, keeping him from a clergyman who was following Captain Burns in the opposite direction. From what she could see the teen in question was angry and fire was coming off his body while the man in question was covered in soot.
"Uhm, Lt. Rekka…" Tamaki asked nervously, pointing at Naruto. "Who is that? Is he also a member of Comp. 1?"
"Hm?" Rekka turned and saw Naruto be released, taking deep breathes, nodding to Karim and Li, telling them he was alright as he held his pendant in his hand. "Naruto? Yes, he is, but stay away from him, you hear me?"
"Okay… but…"
"NOW LET'S CONTINUE MY STARS!" Rekka shouted, putting his arm around Tamaki's shoulders before dragging her off to finish her tour.
Later that Evening…
"AAAAGH!"
Tamaki, SOMEHOW, tripped, going a 360 frontal flip, losing her pants, and planted ass first into a fellow Comp. 1 member.
"AAAAH SHIT!"
"NOT AGAIN~" Tamaki whimpered as she panicked, grabbing her pants and shoes before running off in embarrassment.
Nearby, Naruto watched, a quirked eyebrow as his fellow member was helped up, a happily dazed look in his eyes as if he had seen heaven.
The sky darkened as Tamaki calmed down, but her nerves were shot.
'My Lecher Lure…' She thought with a trembling lip. 'It… it won't just go away… why was I…'
"Move."
Tamaki jumped in fright, not expecting to be spoken too.
In her small, reflexive jump, she spun around, her arms about to hit (Push) the man who startled her, her body's intention to smoosh her breasts in his face.
However, a hand shot out and grabbed her shoulder, halting her Lecher Lure in its tracks.
"Y-you…" Tamaki mumbled as her eyes widened when she realized it was Naruto who stopped her Lecher Lure. 'Wait… he stopped my Lecher Lure?'
"You, okay?" Naruto asked with a concerned look, holding two plates in one hand. "I didn't see you in the mess hall, so I thought you might have missed dinner."
Offering her a plate, Tamaki dumbly accepted, looking at the plate to Naruto.
"Huh?"
Naruto frowned, flicking her forehead.
"OW!" Tamaki said, using a hand to massage her aching forehead. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR YOU JERK!"
Naruto smiled.
"There, you look better when you smile, but you are better when flustered." Naruto joked, laughing at her in her face.
Tamaki growled.
"But all jokes aside," Naruto said in a serious tone. "Are you doing, okay? I mean, you just started and I know what it is like being the new guy, especially one with a gimmick."
Tamaki's cheeks puffed as she sat down in a nearby chair and started eating.
"It's none of your business." She stated, looking away from him.
"You're right, it isn't, but I just want to extend a hand if you need it, Tama." Naruto said as he left, waving lazily as he walked away.
"How…"
Naruto didn't hear her as he put his headphones in.
Next day…
Tamaki was violently pushed.
"HOW DARE YOU ATTEMPT TO STEAL MY BOYFRIEND, YOU SLUT!" a female member shouted at Tamaki.
"I swear," Tamaki meekly replied, on the verge of tears. "It was an accident."
"YEAH, AN ACCIDENT THAT SHOVED YOUR ASS IN HIS FACE!" the member shrieked, reaching out to grab Tamaki's hair, only for Naruto to grab her wrist, twist her around, and put her in an arm lock.
"It isn't nice to attack rookies, Fiona." Naruto told the named woman. "Especially when it WAS an accident."
"You…" Fiona gasped, calming her tone. "Demon Heir, stay out of this. It… Has NOTHING to do with you."
"Well, if it concerns my friend," Naruto said strictly, tightening his grip and the arm lock, making Fiona tear up, with Tamaki perking up at the word 'friend'. "Then it definitely concerns me."
After Fiona calmed down, Naruto released her, with her frustratedly leaving them.
"You okay, Tama?" Naruto asked Tamaki as he turned to face her.
"Yes… but why?"
"I just said it." Naruto replied in a 'no, duh' tone. "You're my…"
Tamaki tripped, flailing in a tornado that spat off her clothing, leaving her in her bra, leggings and underwear, right for Naruto.
ONLY for Naruto to kneel, grab Tamaki's thigh and shoulder, spin her with her own momentum, place her back on her feet with his jacket on her shoulders in a swift moment.
"You're my friend." Naruto stated as if it was the simplest thing in the world.
Flashback End…
"I'm glad Fiona had her baby without any complications." Tamaki mentioned randomly. "I remember the wedding."
"Meh, I didn't attend." Naruto replied with a shrug, looking through the bag of food, patting the part of the grass next to him. "You brought a lot of food, so why not help me eat."
Not letting the opportunity vanish, Tamaki sat down and reached into the bag and grabbed one of the bagels she bought.
"It was nice, you should have gone." Tamaki said as she dug in.
"Not my style, with the Holy Sol Church theme and all." Naruto said bluntly with a deadpanned expression as he grabbed the second bagel.
"But the music and dancing were nice."
"You danced?"
Tamaki saddened.
"No, none of the males wanted to dance with me… fearing my Lecher Lure."
Naruto noted this sadness.
Sighing, Naruto shoved his bagel into his mouth, chewed it, swallowed and then stood up.
Tamaki had a "?" over her head as he fumbled with his CD player, seeming to pick a song, nod in agreement, before unplugging his headphones.
"Well."
"What?" Tamaki asked in confusion as the music had not started, as he pushed pause, as Naruto turned it up.
Naruto offered Tamaki his hand.
"You said you wanted to dance, so come on." Naruto said as he looked her in the eyes to show her how serious he was.
"You're joking?"
Naruto shook his head, kneeling down.
"Come on, you want to dance, right? Well, I am probably the only man who can dance with you without falling for your Lecher Lure, right, Tama?" Naruto joked, a toothy smile on his face.
Tamaki, blushing, took his hand.
Naruto helped her stand.
Without words, Naruto gently put his hands on Tamaki's hips as she put her arms around his neck for traditional, simple two-step dancing.
Naruto hit play, causing the music to start before the singer sang.

Naruto moved to his right, Tamaki following suit, the two locking eyes.
Tamaki's blush was so deep you would think she was sun burnt.
'This is dancing…' Tamaki thought as She and Naruto stepped to the left.

Tamaki felt Naruto remove his hands from her hips, reaching to her hands.
Pulling them from his neck, Naruto held her hands, one above her head before using the other to help her spin.
Smiling at the action, Tamaki followed through the action when Naruto let go, keeping the hand above her, finishing the spin before she instinctively wrapped her arm around his waist, keeping her opposite hand connected to Naruto's hand.
Naruto put his left arm around Tamaki's waist, pulling her in closer.

Why is this world so full of hate
People dying everywhere
And we destroy what we create
People fighting for their human rights
But we just go on saying see'est la vie
So this is life~
Naruto activated his Ignition Ability, sprouting a tail and two and his ears resembling his fox form.
They followed Naruto and Tamaki as they danced, Naruto 'pushing' Tamaki with a twirl, stopping her with his tail, using them to spin her back to his arms.
Tamaki activated her own Ignition Ability, her cat ears and tails forming.
The mix of red and orange light from their flames flickered in the nature around them.
They extended their arms, holding hands as they circled each other.
There must be more to life than killing
A better way for us to survive
What good is life, in the end we all must die~
Tamaki laughed brightly with Naruto smiling with a faint blush.
'I never thought I would dance with anyone…' Tamaki thought as she slipped, Naruto catching her, making it as if it was an intentional part with how easily he pulled her back. 'My heart… it's racing…'
She bit her lip, as a reminder of the day before reared its ugly head.
'But that woman from Comp. 8. She has his attention.' Tamaki thought as Naruto spun her around again.

Naruto surprised Tamaki with a Dip as the song ended.
But then immediately dropped her on purpose.
"Ow…" Tamaki whined, rubbing her shoulders as she ended her Ignition Ability. "You jerk, that really hurt."
Naruto laughed as he ended his flames shortly after she did.
"Sorry," he hiccupped. "I couldn't resist."
Tamaki's boot clad foot connected with Naruto's shin, making him hop on one leg as he held the bruising limb.
"Yeah, neither could I." She stated nastily.
"Why, you little…" Naruto growled as he held his leg before going still.
"Naruto?"
"Okay, you two can come out now." Naruto called out as he gently returned his foot to the ground, wincing as his muscles spasmed.
"I TOLD you that Fox would notice us, Devil."
"Well up yours, Loser Knight."
*GASP* "How DARE you!"
"Alright, enough." Naruto stated loudly, returning the attention of Shinra and Arthur to him. "Was there something you two needed?"
"Yeah, Lt. Rekka has been looking for Cat." Arthur stated in a knightly tone.
"CAT!" Tamaki shouted, angrily standing up as she growled. "MY NAME IS TAMAKI, JERK!"
"Yeah, Arthur, you should remember cat girl's name." Shinra replied.
Tamaki's hair started to float as she got madder at the nickname.
Naruto's finger poked her cheek, drawing her attention.
"What?"
"They said Rekka was looking for you, so you should go." Naruto reminded her. "Thanks for breakfast, Tamaki."
Huffing with puffed cheeks, Tamaki shrugged his thanks off and walked off.
"I am impressed, Fox," Arthur said as he looked at Tamaki walk away. "You sure do have a way with women…"
Naruto's fist caved in Arthur's face.
"She is my friend." Naruto said as he removed his hand from Arthur. "Besides, what is with Fox?"
"Well, when we met, we had an honorable fight, and while we did, I saw your true form, Fox, no, Nine Tails." Arthur declared with Shinra sighing behind him. "So, I shall call you what you are."
"No, please, Knight King." Naruto said in deadpan, a hand waving it away. "Naruto is fine, actually… if you want, you can call me Fox, just don't do it when in a meeting or something official."
Arthur puckered his lips before agreeing.
"So, you like dance?" Shinra asked with his nervous smile. "I like to breakdance…"
"Cool maybe you can show me a few moves." Naruto replied with interest. "I have been looking to expand."
"Sure!" Shinra was starting to like this guy.
"Besides that," Arthur interrupted. "Fox, can you tell us about the Lieutenants?"
Shinra, remembering their purpose at Comp. 1, nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, what can you tell us about Karim, Li, and Rekka?"
Naruto raised an eyebrow at this question but he saw no reason to resist.
"Well, I guess you could say that Lt. Li is very understanding. He is a kind man and very passionate about the church. Probably out of the three I'm closest to him as he kinda reminds me of my father when he was alive."
"Wait," Shinra frowned, "You mean-,"
"Yeah both of my parents perished a long time ago. But it is okay I'm here and I'm doing them proud." Naruto interrupted, not wanting to tell them anything about his past.
Shinra gave him a nod.
"Now as for the other two? Karim is a good guy; it takes a while to get use to the way he speaks. But after you do, you'll see he is only rough because he wants to make sure no one loses their lives recklessly but with a guy like Rekka and myself I guess it is easier said than done."
"And Rekka?" Shinra saw a small frown on Naruto's face,
"Honestly? We don't do have much of a friendship. I know that Tamaki looks up to him but for some reason I guess I never got along with the guy. Mostly we spar once in a while but I don't know something about his passion to Sol can be troublesome."
Arthur nodded his head,
"Yeah we noticed you mentioned Amaterasu that first day, or at least Devil told me about it. You worship the power plant then?"
Naruto sighed as he facepalmed.
"Man, always the same fucking question; no, it is a goddess." Naruto said as he looked Arthur and Shinra in the eyes, earning some attention. "She was the ruler of the sun and the one that looked after Japan during the ages before the Holy Church. I send people to her embrace as they might find flames that will bring comfort and love rather than pain and suffering. It is one of the reasons the church doesn't like me, and I mostly am around when the captain or one of the Lt's orders me to come around."
"Huh." Shinra nodded his head and smiled, "Well thanks for telling us as I couldn't get a read on them, so it is nice to have someone with inside knowledge."
Shinra and Arthur walked off and Naruto just narrowed his eyes before pulling his headband over his eyes again and laying on the ground with his music blaring in his ears.
Hours Later, Lunch…
Naruto sat alone, eating his lunch at a table all his own.
In his left hand was the insect that he picked up from his room and took with him. He had a strange feeling that if he kept the bug on his person that maybe it would point him in the direction of the person responsible for the combustions recently.
'So, did they go to Karim's room or something?' Naruto thought as he had seen Shinra and Arthur 'Sneak' down the halls where the Lieutenants lived. Naturally he knew that they were looking for something but he was not sure what and given how he heard rumors of them panicking when seeing the Lt. in an alleyway he was sure they had their own leads.
"….STARS…"
'Speaking of which…' Naruto thought as he glanced over at Rekka, who was talking loudly to some of the members. Naruto looked at the insect. 'How are you two connected…'
Naruto went still as the insect suddenly became active, pressing against the glass as it 'attempted' to break free. It never reacted like this before and this drew more conclusions for him.
'Rekka. It want's Rekka.' Naruto thought, feeling his suspicions were partially proven, but then he looked at Rekka, and realized someone was missing.
Standing up, putting the insect away, Naruto grabbed his bag and walked over to Rekka.
People fell silent as Naruto got into Rekka's personal space, with a serious/concerned/worried face.
"Rekka, where is Tamaki?"
"Tamaki? Oh, yeah," Rekka said as if he had forgotten, a sheepish look on his face. "I was busy this morning, so I had asked her of she could run a small errand for me."
Naruto nodded his head and said,
"Well, I'm heading off would you mind telling her I'm in town when she comes back."
Rekka smiled,
"MY STARS! I will have fun Naruto!"
Naruto walked past Rekka and after exiting the room Naruto felt his blood go cold,
'Tamaki what are you doing?'
Evening, Golden Hour…
Naruto had walked into the middle of town and was looking through some shops trying to find something that Tamaki might like. He knew the girl had a sweet tooth but he also knew she had a thing for cats so he was thinking about getting her something cat themed.
"Man, that nun was weird."
Naruto stopped looking and turned to two small children talking while looking in the section of the store with the comics.
"I know right? I mean, a prayer that will keep the flames away? If that was the case then we all would be saved by now." The two boys laughed, "Plus how can you take her seriously I mean she had those two stupid pig-tails."
Naruto's body went stiff and he rushed over to the two kids grabbing the nearest one by the shoulder and glaring down at him.
"This girl, where is she?"
The two teens were sweating, they knew who this guy was and they were terrified.
"S-S-She is at this old warehouse about 10 minutes from here. I swear that's all-,"
Naruto rushed out of the building and running down the street in the direction of the building they mentioned.
'Tamaki what the fuck did you get yourself involved in!?'
Warehouse
Tamaki was shocked,
Rekka had turned an adult into an infernal and after they failed to respond to him he killed them. He didn't even hesitate or give her last rites, he just did it without a second thought.
'H-how could he do something like this? The pure evil of this?'
She saw him taking out glass bottle with another of those bugs and walking up to one of the children. Without hesitation she quickly lashed out with her fire tails and not only knocked the bottle out of his hand but also killing the bug in an instant.
"Tamaki!"
She glared at the Lt,
"How could you! I trusted you to help these children, not turn them into Infernals! Is this what you've been doing for years? Turning innocent people into Infernals for your own sick purpose!?"
Rekka growled, he knew that Tamaki wouldn't approve of this but he didn't expect her to attack him. Seemed he had to rush ahead on his plans.
Without answering he closed the distance on Tamaki and slammed his fist into her stomach sending her flying across the room. She coughed up some blood from the power of the blow.
"Why Tamaki! How could you fail me like this!" He raised his hand up, coating it in flames, "If you are going to stand in my way then you can just die!"
Tamaki looked up, the fear settling in that she was going to die. She couldn't fight back; all she could do is watch the fire fist coming down to her face.
'Naruto.' Seeing an image of his smiling face she cried, 'I wished I could have told you that I-,'
Rekka was kicked into the face and sent flying across the room crashing into the farthest wall.
Tamaki looked up and saw Naruto standing there with his back to her. But she could see his entire body shaking and steam coming off his body.
"Tamaki, we'll talk later get the kids out of here." He drops his bag on the ground, "I'll take care of Rekka."
"But Naruto-,"
"DON'T ARGUE WITH ME, TAMAKI!" Naruto shouted with authority.
Tamaki could hear the steel in his voice, she nodded her head, and quickly rushed to the children and started escorting them out of the building.
Naruto, he grew one of his tails as Rekka emerged from the wreckage and spitting up a bit of blood with a smile,
"My Stars! You are far stronger than expected Naruto but sad to say as a heretic you don't-,"
Naruto appeared in front of him and with his right fist drawn.
"Shut up."
He slammed his fist into him sending the man flying back into the wall.
"You bastard." He grew his second tail and now his flames took the form of a red cloak with ears growing from the cloak. "You dare talk to me as if we are still friends after all you did." He growled, eyes turning red,
"WE TRUSTED YOU!"
He rushed at Rekka and slammed his fist into his chest this time causing him to cough up blood but after grabbing his face with his flamed covered hand and his nails digging into his flesh he threw him into the air.
"WE ATE, TRAINED, AND DREAMED ABOUT SAVING EVERYONE FROM THE COMBUSTION! WHY WOULD YOU THROW ALL OF THIS AWAY!"
Naruto flashed above him and slammed him into the ground with his tails. Landing on the ground Naruto saw Rekka rush him and slam his fist into his stomach sending him skidding back.
"My Stars! I won't allow you to interfere in the affairs of my Evangelist!"
Naruto frowned and soon summoned his third tail but he could feel the pain all over his body.
'Got maybe 10 minutes, better make this count.'
"Fuck your Evangelist, I'm going to stop you for thinking you can harm children and get away with it. You will tell Burns what you have been doing, you sick fuck!"
Naruto blurred once more and slammed his right hand into the man's face and then a left hand into his stomach making him cough up spit. But while his head was lowered Naruto slammed his fist right fist he pulled back into his nose.
"MY STARS!"
Rekka slammed his fist into Naruto's stomach and sent him backwards before rushing him again and slamming his powerful fist into his chest and then his face. Naruto coughed up some blood but he manipulated one of his tails and sent him flying across the room in a single motion. Rekka was buried into a pillar this time and he grunted as he tried to remove himself from the pillar.
"I'm Going To Butcher You."
Naruto's body started glowing darker red and the floor was cracking under the pressure of his flames and his body was starting to be covered in a darker red flame. A fourth tail was slowly emerging and his world was turning black.
"Have no fear!" Both men looked up, "Captain Kick the Asshole in the Head to bring him back to Reality man is here!"
Without hesitation Shinra kicked Naruto in the face sending him falling backwards into the pillar and causing Naruto's cloak to disappear.
Shinra stood there in the middle of the room and frowned,
"Naruto get a hold of yourself."
Naruto coughed a bit and looked at Shinra with a glare,
"The fuck man! You should have kicked him not me!"
Shinra shook his head, pointing at the steam coming off his body,
"Dude your body is overheating. You need to rest before your body starts to turn into ash."
Naruto narrowed his eyes,
Rekka heard a small screech and looked at the bug in his pocket and saw that it was clawing at Shinra and his flaming feet.
"Oh my!" The two teens turned to Rekka, "It is you! You have the unsullied flame! The Adolla Burst!"
Naruto raised an eyebrow,
'Adolla, isn't that the primordial flame that all things originate from or where fire comes from?'
"What is an Adolla Burst?"
"It is the progenitor flame that we all worship, the first flame blessed by Sol. With it we shall remake this world into a better image than ever before!"
Naruto coughed, trying to get to his feet but his body wouldn't move and he growled,
'Fuck my skin is still growing back, must have damaged my nerves in the process.'
"Shinra I can't move you got to take down Rekka, he is good when on solid ground but you can take him if you take him off his feet."
"Yeah I get that and trust me I know what to do." He smiled at Naruto, not one of his nervous smiles but a real one, "You just rest I got this, after all that is what I hero will do for people."
Naruto watched on the sidelines for several minutes as Shinra propelled himself through the air, taking Rekka on at even footing. That was until after slamming him into the ground with a massive stomp, Shinra was breathing heavy and was close to collapsing from exhaustion. However, Rekka slowly stood up and started mumbling something before he started to rotate his arms and his flames roared.
Rekka started coating his arms in intense flames and this was starting to urge his flames to consume and everyone in the room. But before it could he heard a bell and his arms started freezing.
"What the hell?"
"Didn't I tell you?" Karim walked into the room, "I always have your back remember?"
"Karim!? Don't interfere!"
"Stop it." He glared, "you're only going to make me freeze you faster, you can't over power my power."
"That's what you think! FIRE!" In seconds Rekka was consumed by the ice and frozen solid. Karim could only flinch and turn away from his friend and ask,
"Were you always this hot blooded or did you blood run so hot that your body was hot blooded?"
"Karim I came as soon as Tamaki told me the situation!" Li appeared and rushed over to Naruto and checked on him, he smiled, "Looks like the rookies really saved the day."
"Yeah." Karim smiled, but then his frown returned while motioning other Fire Soldiers that appeared to take the ice statue. They did with one forming a fire cart to help carry it out of the building.
Karim walked up to Shinra,
"Listen thanks for the help Shinra, your help was appreciated as we do appreciate your effort."
"No problem but," Turning to Naruto, "What do this mean for the first?"
The blue hair ice user frowned,
"Not sure to be honest, honestly it could mean a more honest future or it could mean that there are not as honest people as we thought." He smiled, "But thanks to this we have a chance to start removing those that would harm others for the sake of harming them." He held his hand out, "I hope to count on you for the future."
"Yeah no problem the 8th will help however we can!"
Li smiled,
"At least the causalities are low this time, we can grill Rekka once we thaw him out."
"Yeah." Naruto glared at the direction he went and quickly jumped to his feet, "Well my injuries have healed I'll see Captain Burns and what needs to be done about this mess." Naruto waved to his superiors.
The minute he reached Shinra he smiled lightly,
"Thanks, Shinra, I needed that kick. Tamaki would be pissed if something happened to me." Naruto said as he put his arm around Shinra's shoulder. "You are a hero."
The teen smiled,
"No problem." Shinra replied with his toothy smile becoming brighter. "Always call for me when you need me."
Naruto shook his head and walked out of the building but he never noticed Shinra looking on in confusion,
'Wait in the fight I saw some black spots forming on his neck and back from the usage of his flames. But now they are gone.'
Shinra saw fresh skin on his back and on his neck, he was not sure what happened but he was sure there was more to Naruto than meets the eyes.
