After Sherlock Holmes and John Watson solved the biggest case in their career, they found themselves in a new adventure. Even though, the detective was still recovering from the attack of Culverton Smith, it didn't stop him from solving crimes.

This story takes up where Hunting in Shadows leaves off. John must get past his anger at Sherlock's two year disappearance so that he can help him heal and rebuild their relationship when so many things in his life have changed.

A love triangle forms between Mycroft, Jo and Julian as they search for hidden cold war era technology involving a mad physicist. From an abandoned lab in the Bikini Atolls to an historic research base in Antarctica, the final answer lies in the remote desert wilderness of Australia.
