Chapter 7: The Missing Mario's

(Friendly Field)

Kirby, Pit, Rick, Coo, Kine, Susie, and Dark Meta Knight arrived in the field in search of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger.

Coo- A bit of a mess with all these leave scattered around.

Kirby- No problem, Coo. I can fix that.

Then Kirby spots a Broom Hatter and inhales it, turning Kirby into Sweeper Kirby. Sweeper Kirby used his broom to sweep away all the leaves everywhere.

Dark Meta Knight- This is so boring. Instead of this meaningless horseplay, why not just slaughter everything until we find out target?

Susie- We can't do that! Not everyone here is infected by the Jamba Hearts and we don't want to alert Ty until we know where he is in these fields!

Sweeper Kirby- She's right. And if you want to stay with us, you will follow our rules.

Dark Meta Knight- Fine…but because I still need to learn more about the Jamba Heart. But also know that my patience has its limits.

Pit- Damn! You and Dark Pit definitely do have a lot in common.

Sweeper Kirby- It's still odd how Meta Knight's mirror counterpart is so unlike him when the mirror version of myself is exactly like me.

Pit- There's a mirror version of you too?

Sweeper Kirby- Yeah, Shadow Kirby. He's the defender of the Mirror Dimension, but I haven't seen or heard from him since I defeated Dark Mind and escaped from the Mirror Dimension. But then again, this is also the first time I heard from Dark Meta Knight since then too.

Pit- And was Dark Mind another of your foes?

Palutena (telepathically to Pit)- He was basically the Mirror World's version of Zero.

Viridi (telepathically to Sweeper Kirby)- It's a little annoying how Zero can spread his consciousness like a hive swarm into so many different forms and vessels. And sad poor Kirby has to fight them all. The Dark Matter Swordsman, Miracle Matter, Dark Nebula, Dark Mind, and I could go on.

Sweeper Kirby- Just part of my duty like how it is for Pit and the others. But right now, we should be looking for Ty.

Rick- It'll be nice to talk to a fellow Australian, mate.

Pit- But you're from Popstar, not Earth.

Palutena (telepathically to Pit)- It's…complicated…

(Later in Friendly Fields)

Sweeper Kirby, Pit, Rick, Coo, Kine, Susie, and Dark Meta Knight arrived at this open area from a high ledge. Dark Meta Knight looked down and saw what appeared to be a Tasmanian tiger.

Dark Meta Knight- Is that your friend down there?

Sweeper Kirby- Yeah, that is Ty alright. But what's he doing down…

Then a laser was fired at Ty, but he managed to dodge.

Pit- Where did that come from?!

Susie- I think I know where…

Then everyone looked towards where Susie was pointing and they saw Eggman flying his hovercraft while trying to aim his laser at Ty. However, Eggman was having a dark aura around his body.

Pit- Just like DeDeDe was. Guess Bowser's team are under the same corruption that got us too.

Coo- And apparently, he's not alone.

Then they saw King K. Rool standing behind Ty and he tried to grab Ty. Luckily, Ty got out of the way in time. King K. Rool also had a dark aura around his body. And even though Ty had the red aura around his body from when he activates that spiritual power inside of him, it was still obvious that Ty was also possessed by a Jamba Heart as well.

Kine- Odd. Why are they all just fighting each other?

Susie- They don't really need a reason. Without the God of the Void to give anyone corrupted by his power commands, they just act on instinct and go crazy all over. In short, causing pure chaos wherever they can and not know why.

Dark Meta Knight- Then shale we get this over with?

Dark Meta Knight slightly unsheathed his sword and seemed ready to fight.

Sweeper Kirby- Remember, don't do anything fatal! Ty's still my friend and I don't want to hurt him.

Then Dark Meta Knight held his sword out and spun like a spinning drill as he rammed into King K. Rool from behind and knocked him to the ground. Eggman took noticed and was about attack Dark Meta Knight. But then Susie shot a laser at Eggman from behind and his hovercraft was causing it to crash to the ground. Then Sweeper Kirby, Pit, Rick, Kine, and Coo move in front of Ty.

Sweeper Kirby- Ty, we don't want to fight you. Just let me purify the Jamba Heart and…

Before Sweeper Kirby could finish, Ty threw one of his boomerangs at him and Sweeper Kirby narrowly dodged. The boomerang returned to Ty as he glared at them.

Rick- Hate to break it to yah, mate, but I don't think he's in the mood to talk.

Pit- Like with DeDeDe, we'll need to fight him first it would seem. I know it's hard to fight a possessed friend and believe me, I know. Something similar happened to Lady Palutena once.

Ty fired a beam from the Sacred Bunyip power at them, but Sweeper Kirby and the others dodged. Kine managed to get in close and actually got Ty's left paw in his mouth. Ty shook his left arm like crazy to try and get Kine to let go. When that didn't work, Ty then punched Kine in the face over and over. Kine still managed to keep hold of Ty's paw in his mouth. Then Rick and Coo got behind Ty and attacked while Ty was distracted. Rick spat out a stream of fire while Coo crated small blades out of wind his wings blew and they hit Ty in the back. However, Ty turned around and smacked them both with Kine and knocked all three to the ground. Ty then pulled out this Thunderangs and was about to throw them, but Sweeper Kirby blew a large dust cloud in Ty's eyes and managed to momentarily blind him. While Ty was trying to get the dust out of his eyes, Pit shot the Thunderangs out of Ty's hands. But before Ty could react, more light arrows pelted Ty and knocked him to the ground. Before Ty could get back up, Sweeper Kirby managed to hit Ty with a friend heart and free him from the Jamba Heart's corruption.

Ty- Huh…?

Pit- Ty…is that really you?

Ty- What are you talking about, mate? Though…me head doesn't feel right for some reason.

Then King K. Rool and Eggman got up as well.

King K. Rool- I feel so…funky for some reason.

Eggman- This isn't Castle DeDeDe. How did we get here?

Susie- It appears your Friend Heart freed more than just Ty.

Kine- But what are we gonna do with them?

Coo- We can't just leave them in the middle of nowhere.

Kirby- But we've got a lot to explain to them.

(Reef Resort)

Sonic was using his spin dash to saw all palm tree on the beach and nearly causing everyone on the beach to be crushed by them. Like with DeDeDe, Sonic had a dark aura around his body and was not fully in control of his actions. However, just as he was about to spin dash at a few Kappy's, Sonic suddenly found himself caught and tangled in some kind of web. Sonic looked down and saw Taranza holding the strings connecting to the web he was in. However, Sonic then curled into a ball again and began sawing through Taranza's web.

Taranza- How is he still able to…

Then Sonic began dashing right at Taranza. However…

Ash's voice- Ho-Oh, use hurricane!

Just then, a huge gust of wind stopped Sonic in his track right before he could reach Taranza with his spin dash. Then Sonic was launched into the air and towards the ocean. But before Sonic crashed into the ocean, Ash's Dracovish popped out of the water and opened its mouth. It caught Sonic in its mouth and Sonic's feet were seen kicking and shaking from outside the jaw. Then we see Ash and Pikachu riding on Ho-Oh's back.

Ash- Great work there, Ho-Oh! And you too, Dracovish. Just keep Sonic detained until we can get him to Kirby, but don't swallow, Dracovish.

Ho-Oh- Uh…not sure if that's the right choice of words. Especially for the readers. They might get the wrong idea.

Then a dark figure jumped up in the air at attempted to strike Ash and Ho-Oh with a sword from behind. Luckily, Magolor blocked with a magical barrier he created with his energy. When Ash turned around, he saw it was Ganondorf who tried to attack him.

Ash- Ganondorf is here too?

Then several cannonballs were launched and heading for Ash. Luckily, Ho-Oh swatted them away with his wing and they saw Risky Boots' pirate ship sailing near the beach.

Ho-Oh- Not just him it would seem. That pirate lady, Risky Boots is here too. And both under the influence of the Jamba Heart like Sonic is.

Magolor managed to knock Ganondorf a few steps backwards, but Ganondorf charged at Magolor this time.

Ash- I got this, Magolor. Gengar!

Then two hands reached out of Ganondorf's shadow and grabbed him by his ankles. Turns out Ash's Gengar was using shadow sneak to surprise Ganondorf. While Ganondorf was held down by Gengar, Magolor created a large boulder and dropped it on Ganondorf, knocking him out. However, Risky Boots were still firing her cannonballs from her ship in the distance. Ho-Oh flew out of the way while Magolor dodged the cannonballs.

Marx- Taranza, I need your help to reach her. Can you make a bungee with your webbing?

Then Taranza created a slingshot by attaching some of his web strings between two palm trees. Then Marx used it to fling himself to Risky Boots' ship. Before Risky could do anything, Marx split himself and created a blackhole that sucked Risky Boots into it. Marx pulled himself back together, only there were bullets and explosions being fired in his mouth. Most likely, Risky Boots was unloading her weapons into mouth. And poor Marx was not enjoying it.

Ash- Uh…ok Marx. Try to hold her until we can get them to Kirby.

(Echo's Edge)

Bandana Dee used his spear to block Link's Master Sword that was just swung at him. Link forced Bandana Dee to back up against the glacier and got him seemingly cornered.

Bandana Dee- Guys…I could use some help here!

Yoshi- Sorry, but we got hands full too!

Then we see Yoshi facing down Giovanni and his Nidoqueen while Gooey was facing down Boss Cass.

Giovanni- Ice beam.

Nidoqueen shot an ice beam, but Yoshi moved out of the way and dodged. But more ice was spreading on the glacier.

Yoshi- More ice. Do we really need more?

Giovanni- Fissure…

Nidoqueen stomped her foot into the glacier and made some of the ice on the glacier split. Yoshi almost fell down the opening in the glacier, but Gooey grabbed Yoshi with his tongue and pulled him out of there. However, Boss Cass pulled out his laser gun and aimed it at Gooey. Luckily, Yoshi launched his tongue at the laser and pulled it away from Boss Cass. After Yoshi ate the laser, he burped out a laser shot that actually blew Boss Cass, Giovanni, and Nidoqueen from where they stood and they crashed into Link from behind. After that, they landed in the icy water and emerged frozen in blocks of ice.

Yoshi- Oops! Yoshi better fish Link out before he freeze.

Bandana Dee- Agreed, but let's get those villains too and let's keep them on ice until after we brought them to Kirby.

(Nature's Navel)

Donkey Kong held his arm out as he was blocking a kick Shantae was swinging at him. Like the others, Shantae had a dark aura surrounding her body. Shantae then whipped her hair at Donkey Kong, but he caught it with his other hand.

Donkey Kong- Come on, Shantae! Don't make me fight you!

Then Shantae flipped into the air off of Donkey Kong and transformed into Elephant Shantae while she was still in the air. Luckily, Donkey Kong caught Elephant Shantae and was strong enough to hold her over his head in her elephant form. Then Donkey Kong threw Elephant Shantae to the ground and near a pool of lava leaking from the volcano. Elephant Shantae changed back to regular Shantae after she landed.

King DeDeDe- You could've just thrown her into the lava.

Donkey Kong- I'm trying to save my friend! Not kill her! Which is why I missed the lava on purpose.

Then an energy blast almost hit them from the side.

King DeDeDe- And I almost forgot that everyone's favorite snake queen, Medusa was visiting the volcano too!

Then we see Medusa standing at another part of the volcano. Adeleine, Ribbon, and Daroach were each hiding behind a rock and trying their best not to look at her. Adeleine pulled out a canvas and quickly drew a hand mirror.

Ribbon- What are you doing?

Adeleine- Trying to use her own gaze against her.

Then Adeleine held the mirror she drew in front of Medusa.

Viridi (telepathically to Adeleine)- Uh…you do realize that Medusa seeing her own reflection doesn't work?

Palutena (telepathically to Adeleine)- Afraid Medusa's stone gaze is only active when she wants it to be.

Doroach- Guess that explains why DeDeDe and Bowser haven't been turned to stone yet. But how will we…

Then Daroach felt something sharp and pointy poke him right in the butt. When he turned around, he saw a syringe floating in the air injecting him with something.

Daroach- What was that?!

Palutena (telepathically to Daroach)- It's the antibody for Medusa's spell. It's what Pit uses to not be turned to stone. This should make you immune for a limited time.

Then a syringe appeared near Adeleine and Ribbon, injecting them with the antibodies as well.

Daroach- At least we can now fight were without risk of being turned to stone.

Then Medusa shot Daroach's hat off with a shot from her staff.

Adeleine- But this still won't be easy…

Then the rocks they were hiding behind got blown to dust from Medusa's attacks. Some of the snakes that make up Medusa's hair lunged at Adeleine, but Ribbon grabbed Adeleine from behind and pulled her way before the snakes could bite her.

Ribbon- Guess it's a good thing I brought this before leaving Ripple Star.

Then Ribbon handed Adeleine a large crystal.

Adeleine- Isn't this the same crystal you and Kirby used to defeat Zero?

Ribbon- I figured it might come in handy.

Then the crystal sort of took the form of a gun or launcher in Adeleine's hands, similar to how it did for Kirby against Zero2. Adeleine fired a few shots and the crystal actually damaged Medusa.

Viridi (telepathically to Adeleine and Ribbon)- Interesting. It seems the crystal as the same effect on Medusa that it does on Dark Matter.

But before Medusa could recover, Daroach fired a beam from his Triple Star at Medusa. Also, he had his hat back on too.

Daroach- That was for putting a hole in my favorite fedora! Hey Adeleine, think you can paint me a needle and thread for sow the hole in my hat?

Medusa fell to the ground after that. Meanwhile, Donkey Kong and King DeDeDe were still trying to deal with Shantae. DeDeDe swung his mallet, but Shantae was too nimble for him to easily hit.

King DeDeDe- Hold still! Damn it! Why'd you have to be so flexible?

Then Shantae transformed into Snake Shantae and coiled around DeDeDe's arm.

Adeleine- DK! Catch!

Then Donkey Kong sees a large tree branch Adeleine painted thrown at him. Donkey Kong caught it and quickly grabbed Snake Shantae as well. Then Donkey Kong managed to tie and knot Snake Shantae to several parts of the branch. Snake Shantae tried to change back to her regular form, but the knots to her body Donkey Kong made didn't fit her genie form and she couldn't change from her snake form and was now stuck to the branch.

Donkey Kong- Hopefully, I can unknot her body after we bring her to Kirby.

King DeDeDe- Better grab Medusa and get her purified from the Jamba Heart too.
