Chapter 13: The Fire Mage Sister

(Later on the western part of the Jambastion Fortress)

Kirby, Link, Ty, Ganondorf, Boss Cass, Meta Knight, Susie, and Dark Meta Knight were exploring a part of the Jambastion Fortress yet still on the orbital ring surrounding the dark structure.

Boss Cass- How complicated does this fortress have to be?!

Dark Meta Knight- Agreed. We've already got lost, separated to cover more ground, regrouped, and then separated into different teams again.

Link- Nothing I'm not used to really. A lot of the dungeons Ganondorf had me go through forced me to run around in circles.

Ganondorf- That was to confuse you and hopefully get you lost. I'd say this Void Termina must want to do the same thing with unwelcomed visitors.

Meta Knight- Well I can't believe who I'm stuck with in this group!

Ty- You referring to Dark Meta Knight, mate?

Meta Knight- No. I was referring to Susie.

Susie- Me?!

Dark Meta Knight- Odd. I figured you'd be more hateful towards me since I took your appearance, trapped you in the Mirror Dimension, split Kirby into four smaller Kirby's, and tried to feed you all to Dark Mind.

Meta Knight- But Susie turned me into a mechanized slave called Mecha Knight to serve the Haltmen Works company during their invasion of Popstar to reactivate Star Dream.

Susie- Hey, I was under orders from President Haltmen to use Star Dream to reprogram your mind. Besides, Kirby freed you and turned you back to normal.

Meta Knight- I'm still not happy about being stripped of my free will and turned into a mechanized slave.

Kirby- Ok, break it up! Susie has more than made up for that and she has been working with us with Kyrin. But we should be focusing on finding our way through this fortress.

Mysterious voice- HEY, YOU! Stubby little…pink thing!

Then a mage in red appeared from above while holding a Jamba Heart in her hand. She looked similar to Francisca, only her hair was red instead of blue, her hair was shorter than Francisca, and her robe was red. This mage glared at Kirby as it took a moment for Kirby to realize she was talking to him earlier.

Kirby- Me?

Kirby points at himself with a confused look on his face.

Mage in red- YES, YOU! I have a burning question for you! You're the one who was so rude to sweet Francisca, aren't you?! Don't you dare try to deny it!

Link- She must be referring to that ice mage you fought during our first split up in this fortress that tried to attack your group, Kirby.

Mage in red- So it was you! Fiend! Coward! I swear, if you've harmed a single blue hair on her perfect head… you'll burn for it!

Kirby- Francisca was the one that attacked me. But she's still alive and I didn't do anything too bad to her.

Mage in red- Jamblasted! I will never EVER forgive you! Now you'll all face me, Flamberge! That's ME!

Boss Cass- I take it you're one of those Mage Sisters that we heard were supposed to run this fortress?

Flamberge- I am. My magic element is fire. And for what you've done to my sister, I'll scorch you to such a degree that…that…

Then Flamberge puts the Jamba Heart away in her robe while pulling out a flaming sword.

Flamberge- …that even tasty, toasty marshmallows will seem like ice cubes compared to you!

Flamberge rushed for Kirby with her flaming sword, but Link blocked with his shield. But one thing that was strange about Link was his outfit now looked red instead of greed.

Kirby- Link, what's with the change of clothes?

Link- I remembered Shantae explaining how cold it was just being near Francisca's ice axe. So I figured I'd use my Goron Tunic which can withstand intense heat while battling her fiery sister as to not get burned.

Susie- Smart thinking.

Then Link swung the Master Sword at Flamberge, but she jumped backwards to avoid it.

Flamberge- You might not be affected by the heat of my flames, but that won't protect you from being burnt by them!

Then Flamberge shot a large stream of fire from her sword. Link, Kirby, Ty, Boss Cass, Susie, Meta Knight, and Dark Meta Knight jumped out of the way, but Ganondorf stood there and stopped it in its tracks before it could reach him.

Ganondorf- You have a gift with fire magic, but these flames don't compare to the powers of dark magic that I have masters!

With a mere snap of Ganondorf's fingers, Flamberge's fire attack was put out.

Ganondorf- How about I show you what a real wizard's flames are like!

Then Ganondorf created a black flame in his palm and launched it at Flamberge. Flamberge attempted to block with her fire attacks, but she was struggling to hold Ganondorf's black flames back. But then she was struck from behind by two laser blasts that were shot by Susie and Boss Cass. After Flamberge was stunned from those laser shots, Ganondorf's black flames blasted her and knocked her to the wall. As Flamberge was getting back up, Ty threw his Freezerangs and froze Flamberge solid. Then Meta Knight and Dark Meta Knight slashed at her and shattered the ice Flamberge was trapped in. She was also knocked into the air where Winged Kirby could tackle her back to the ground. However, Flamberge managed to get back up while still holding the piece of the Jamba Heart she had.

Flamberge- You might've won, but my sisters and I still have all the Jamba Heart pieces! And you will not stop Lord Hyness from reviving the God of the Void! And I'm starting to see why the Dark Lord is interested in you, Kirby.

Then Flamberge flees with the Jambe Heart piece as Kirby and the others try to rush after her.
