Chapter 16: To the Divine Terminus

(The Divine Terminus)

This mysterious mage in a white robe was using his magic to put the pieces of the Jamba Heart together. The Jamba Heart wasn't complete yet, but it looked as though it was nearly restored to the way it was before it shattered to pieces.

Mysterious mage- Almost there, my lord. The pieces have nearly all been gathered and you will finally return to this world. It won't be long now.

Then Francisca, Flamberge, and Zan Partizanne rushed into the room. The mysterious mage turned slightly to look at them.

Mysterious mage- This better be important, girls.

Francisca- A thousand apologies, Lord Hyness. But do you remember that Star Warrior you told us about?

Flamberge- It appears him and his friends are stronger than we thought.

Zan Partizanne- We tried and were each defeated them. In fact, some of them seemed…familiar to another group you've mentioned in the past.

Then the mysterious mage stopped with the Jamba Heart assembling and glared at the three Mage Sisters.

Mysterious mage- The Super Mario Brothers' Team…I should've known. I have heard tale that the descendent of the knight who defeated Tabuu rebuilt that team in order to fight Tabuu who has also returned. Hmmm…and there is a Star Warrior who resembles the our lord's daughter who was also part of the original Super Mario Brothers' Team…I wonder if that's the reason why he's so similar to Kimberly?

Then the mysterious mage heard a dark whisper coming from what was completed of the Jamba Heart.

Mysterious mage- My lord? Are you sure?

Francisca- What is it?

Mysterious Mage- It appears our interlopers are still alive and are making their way to the Divine Terminus!

Zan Partizanne- But who did they escape before the Jambastion Fortress exploded?!

Mysterious mage- I take it that this leader of the current Super Mario Brothers' Team is just as resourceful as Marco Mario was. And this Star Warrior is just as persistent at Kimberly was. And now they plan to stop our lord's return to this world and will be attacking the Divine Terminus soon.

Flamberge- And what should we do about this, Lord Hyness?

(Back on the Comet Observatory)

Mario and the others were making their preparations before they begin their assault on the Divine Terminus.

Marx- As happy as I am to be free from Tabuu, how did that wire get cut? I don't remember sabotaging the trap.

Ty- Actually, that was me, mate. During one of our many split-ups, I found Fawful and Infinite hiding in that generator room. So I cut the wire while they weren't looking.

Marx- Why didn't you mention that to anyone?

Ty- I really wanted to see if you really had changed like Kirby wants to believe you have. And now I see Kirby was right about you.

Ribbon- And I'm happy you made the right decision too.

Palutena (telepathically to Pit)- Pit, I'm afraid I got bad news.

Pit- What is it, Lady Palutena?

Palutena (telepathically to Pit)- Those Mage Sisters appeared to have warned whoever is leading this cult about you and that you're on your way to the Divine Terminus.

Pit- That can't be too bad.

Then Pit sees Medusa looking at the distance with one of those glasses you see people using at the opera.

Medusa- Actually, it's bad. Take a look for yourself, Pit.

Then Pit looked through those opera glasses and saw an army surrounding the Divine Terminus.

Pit- Damn…she's right. Looks like they really don't want us to get in there.

Meta Knight- It seems like if we all try to go in a group, we won't get there in time.

Boss Cass- Does this mean we'll have to split up again?

Mario- Maybe. What do you think, Kirby?

Kirby- Me?

Mario- I might be the leader of the Super Mario Brothers' Team, but you're clearly the leader of the Dream Friends, Kirby.

Kirby- Well…that's a lot of pressure to put on me. But I hope I can lead as well as you do.

Mario- I'm sure you'll do great. Let me tell you something, I once knew someone who was also unsure of herself. I met her during the Origami Festival last year. Her brother had taken the wrong path and she wanted to help her brother see the error of his ways. She was unsure if she could. Yes, I did help her out, but she never stopped believing that she could save her brother from the evil in his heart. And she was able to in the end.

Just then Hades appeared in a cloud of smoke and appeared behind Mario and Kirby.

Hades- What a touching story there, Mario.

Pit- Hades?!

Hades- Oh don't mind me, Pitty Pat. Tabuu just sent me to retrieve two loser who were blasted into space in the previous chapter back to Subspace for a most…interesting punishment…but I couldn't help but overhear Mario's little story and I just wanted to share my thoughts on something. Olivia and King Olly are dead and I find that absolutely hilarious! Mwhahahahaha!

Pit- Wow, Hades…just…wow.

Shantae- What an inhuman thing you are, Hades.

Hades- It's what I'm known for, honey! Get used to it, because it ain't letting up any time soon!

Then Hades vanishes under a cloud of smoke.

Viridi (telepathically to everyone)- Wait…did Hades just spoil…(Sigh) I'll be right back…I've got a reset bomb with Hades' name on it and I THINK IT'S TIME TO USE IT!

(Outside the Divine Terminus)

Several of Jambastion soldiers were standing outside the Divine Terminus, ready to keep the Kirby and the Dream Friends out for as long as they could. Suddenly, Donkey Kong, Elephant Shantae, and Susie in a Robobot armor dropped from above and landed on a few soldiers. Some of the Jambastions placed on the roof and operating cannons were about to take aim, but then cannonballs blasted them first from the Doomship. King K. Rool and Risky Boots were operating the Doomship's cannon. However, they weren't exactly getting along.

King K. Rool- I don't need your help! I'm doing just fine!

Risky Boots- You almost missed by a mile! You should be following my lead since I'm the real pirate on Bowser's Team!

King K. Rool- I swear, I know how to use a cannon! I've done pirating before!

Risky Boots- And how did that turn out for you?

King K. Rool- I ended up crashing into the ocean…twice…Look, just let me do my thing and I'll let you do yours, Risky!

Archers stationed at the towers of the Divine Terminus were taking aim at the Doom Ship and the Shooting Star, but Adeleine and Ribbon riding a drawing of Kracko as it shot bolts of electricity at the archers while Marx made it rain energy arrows from his wings. But then a swarm of spider creatures attempted to jump Adeleine, Ribbon and Marx from behind. Luckily, Ash and Pikachu flew in while riding Ho-Oh as Ho-Oh ate all the spiders.

Ho-Oh- Delicious!

Ribbon- Uh…ok…

Ho-Oh- Hey, phoenixs are birds. And birds like to eat bugs.

Adeleine- Anyway, thanks for the save.

Ash- No problem!

But then a ninja appeared on Ho-Oh's back and knocked Ash off and to the ground.

Pikachu- Pika Pi!

Ho-Oh- Master Ash!

The ninja pinned Ash to the ground and pulled out a knife. However, Giovanni then punched the ninja in the face and knocked him off of Ash.

Giovanni- Kangaskhan, close combat!

Then Mega Kangaskhan appeared in front of the ninja and beat it to the ground with close combat.

Ash- Giovanni…you saved me?

Giovanni- Don't take this the wrong way, Ash! We're still enemies by the end of this.

Then several more ninjas try to attack Giovanni from behind, but Ho-Oh's hyper beam, Pikachu's thunderbolt, and Mega Charizard's flamethrower blasted them all away before they could reach Giovanni.

Ho-Oh- That was payback for helping Master Ash just now, but don't get the wrong idea, because I'm still not working for your Team Rocket organization!

The Shooting Star and the Lor Starcutter were flying above the Divine Terminus with Luigi and Yoshi driving the Shooting Star and Magolor driving the Lor Starcutter.

Luigi- You sure this air ship has weapons?

Magolor- Kyrin told me he installed a cannon of some kind to the Shooting Star back when Marco and his team were still using it.

Luigi- If only I knew how to use it…

Yoshi- What button do?

Then Yoshi pushed a red button next to the steering wheel and a laser cannon popped out from the bottom of the Shooting Star.

Luigi- There it is! Now let's see what this baby can do!

Then the Shooting Star and the Lor Starcutter blasted a laser shot at the Divine Terminus from above and knocked away some of the Jamastion soldiers there were stationed on the roof of the building. Meanwhile, Daroach was fighting some of the Jambastion troops at the back end. One swiped a sword at Daroach, but he quickly dashed away to avoid it. Then Daroach dropped a bomb by that soldier and it exploded in its face. More were rushing towards Daroach, but a blue blur dashed at them and knocked all them out in a split second. Then Sonic appeared in front of Daroach while rubbing his finger over his nose.

Sonic- You sure are quick for a mouse, but nothing can beat my speed.

Daroach lowered his hat over the upper half of his face.

Daroach- …showoff…

Then Eggman arrived in his Egg Dragoon.

Eggman- Ok, I'm ready to…hey, where are the enemy troops?

Sonic- You're too slow, egghead. Daroach and I already took them out.

Then a large Jambastion soldier wearing a paper Indian mask attempted to attack Sonic and Daroach from behind until Eggman knocked it away with a shot from the Egg Dragoon's drill arm cannon.

Eggman- You were saying, Sonic?

Meanwhile, several mask enemies had surrounded Link, Bandana Dee, and Ganondorf. But as they moved it, Link knocked them all into the air with his sword spin attack. Then Bandana Dee shattered some of those masks with his spear and Ganondorf let the rest on fire with his Triforce magic. Just as those masks hit the ground, Meta Knight and Dark Meta Knight swung their swords to shatter what was left. More Jambastion solders were charging for them, but then one of Ty's Freezerangs hit the ground they were running on and turned it to ice, causing them to slip and hit the ground. Then Gooey wrapped his tongue around them before hurling them into the air so Boss Cass could use his laser to shoot them away. But then some of the Jambastion soldiers noticed the Comet Observatory in the sky as well and decided to aim at that as well. Luckily, one laser blast they shot was caught in a magic web Taranza made and it bounced the laser back at the cannon that fired it. Another shot was made, but Pit flew up with the Magnus Club and knocked it back as well. A third laser was fired, but Medusa appeared in her giant form and swatted the laser back as the shooter. But little did the Jambastion troops realize, this was all a diversion so Racoon Mario, Ultra Sword Kirby, Bowser, and King DeDeDe could slip past them and enter the Divine Terminus unnoticed.
