As Panem prepares for the death of the only president most of its citizens have ever known, both the tributes in the Games and the officials running them must take care to learn from the past - lest the same mistakes come back to haunt Panem's future. All twenty-four of them have something in common. They were not wanted. As infants and newborns, they were given up by their families and taken in by MacArthur's Academy for War Orphans. The academy became a home for many of them. However, MacArthur's has a special graduation ceremony for its students - a battle to the death known as The Hunger Games. Rated M for violence

In another universe, Prim was never reaped for the 74th Hunger Games and with no victors from District 12, girls would be chosen at random. When Prim's name was called however, Katniss volunteered in her place and quickly added more fuel to the fire of the rebellion, catching not just the eye of the world, but one of Finnick Odair's.

The Pairing happens every three years in post war Panem to help renew and increase the population of the country. Katniss has accepted that she will be paired with Gale, even though the Pairing is supposed to be a lottery. The day of The Pairing finds Katniss paired with Peeta Mellark. Following the Hunger Games resurgence in popularity, several fangames have popped up, allowing many of the Capitol teens to experience the events for themselves. But when the most famous fangame of them all, the Saturn Games, is overtaken by an anonymous group of rebels, the unsuspecting tributes will now be forced to fight to the death until only one remains.

"Sink me in the river, at dawn; send me away with the words of a love song." A shattered Panem rests on the shoulders of a faltering poet, while a betrothed sews an invisible plan, and all the while the Games go on and on. Nobody knows it, but things are about to change. (SYOT Closed!)
