Toga sighed, he was another one of their best men who became victimized by the Priests and priestess. Turning away from the body, he looks at his sons. " Inuyasha"

Toga's eyes twitched, he knew he shouldn't have let Inuyasha train with his old master in the Mountains. Because of his mistakes, Inuyasha learned some bad behaviors. Unfortunately for him, he can't change the past no matter how much he wants to.
" Follow the track, and find out who did this. Do not Attack rashly, unless they attack"
Inuyasha frowns " yea yea, I gotcha"
" Inuyasha...I mean it"
" I said I got it, no hurting them"
Toga looked at Koga and gave him a sign. The eastern prince, baffled, points at himself. When the king gave him a pleading look he bowed his head in defeat before chasing after his friend.
Sesshomaru glaring at his father bold his fist " why is it you always send the Half breed to investigate father, I am more capable than him"
Toga walks out of the room. He knew he didn't need to tell his son to walk because he will anyway. While walking in the hall, there was silence. Sesshomaru walked behind him while his eyes never left his back.
" Inuyasha may be rash, but you have no tolerance. We are not trying to prolong this war son, I'm trying to find a solution that won't harm anyone "
" That is the problem father, us not doing anything about those Barbarians will not make us win."
Toga stops and turns to look at his son " my Aim is not to win son, but to build the bridge that was once thereafter the priestess sacrificed herself to trap the dragon king"
Sesshomaru frowned " it's because of this that those humans think they can do what they please, attacking our people with no fear. We caused them to be bold, and that is why we have become soft "
Toga looking at his son wished he could see what he envisioned. He was hoping that after he retires, Sesshomaru would take his place, but with that kind of mindset, he is unsure.
" you are disappointing me day by day son," he says
" We have long-established that the day you didn't present my first sword made from your fangs, but instead you made one for the Half-breed"
" SESSHOMARU!"
" You know the reason why, If you can't even establish dominance on a sword that wants to be dominated, then how can you be a Lord"
Sesshomaru eyes turned red for a sec " Your forgetting father that you caused this, because of your mistake, I became a defective demon"
Toga remembered that day, it would be a day he regretted for the rest of his life. That day he was patrolling with Sesshomaru when he heard there was an attack in the village his wife was in. Sesshomaru, as a child, was doing well fighting but he wasn't as strong as him. He had told him to stay, but he did not practice what he preached. Everything went by so fast, his mating mark tugging, his wife in a fire with his son scared, and him transforming to save them.
By the time he got out, and landed, he saw a dark fog surrounding his elder son before shocking him. That day his heart was in pain. He recalled the words he said to him before their patrolling. That he will be beside him and protect him if he's in any danger. It wasn't after they were in the infirmary that he found out that Sesshomaru's powers were gone. His demon was around, but his ancestors' power that was bestowed upon him was no more.
He had thought they could get past this, but it would seem that he only increased his son's hatred, distrust, and rage for him and others.
