Her teacher skims through the essay, but stops to look at her " the great dog general, oh yes, he was undefeated." She read a few more pages before putting it down " why did you choose this, and where did you get some of this information"

" The internet," kagome says

" The internet doesn't have information on the general, especially knowing he was a demon." She says, causing Kagome to tense.

There was a tense feeling around them, with Kagome rubbing her hand. She didn't think it was such a big deal, but her teacher cleared her voice to grab her attention again " since you're into the dog general, I will let you read a never before authentic book on him. Just wait after school and I will give you"

Kagome nonchalantly nods.

Kikyou and Kaede were busy practicing when Kikyou stopped to ponder. Kaede, concerned, asked if she was alright. Her sister brushed her aside and told her to continue her target practice.

When Kaede's back was spun, Kikyou closed her eyes, conducting her powers to scout the land. When it touched the Barrier entrance she halted. She could sense a presence. It lingered by the area for a while before vanishing. Kikyou's eyes opened swiftly, got up, surprising Kaede, and sprinted to her house.

When entered she searches for a vintage mirror. She taps it and watches it brighten before showing the outside area. Gazing, she couldn't see anyone. She wondered who it could be that has uncovered their barrier or almost achieved it.

" No, I need to unify the barrier, it's getting weak"

Meanwhile, At the Demon Court, Lord Toga sitting wondered why he was called. Usually, a meeting isn't until the next Half-moon. He knew what these consultants' intents were, and once more he would not allow it.

" Thank you for your concern about my eldest, councilmen, but Sesshomaru will be the next lord no matter how long it takes. Even without his demonic ability, and his demon reserve inside, he is still our best fighter and military strategist"

" I do agree on that, my lord, but our people will not regard him, or see him fit as long as he can't transform. Plus I was notified not long ago that he was poisoned by the wind. "

" Poisoned? How?" Toga says shock

Another council pipes up " this is what we are talking about. How can we allow someone who was poisoned so easily, not to mention has no healing ability be our lord"

" Secondly, we have waited long enough, may I suggest that Hanyou take his place." A fire demon says

A man in the corner listening says " your forgetting we have a hanyou ruling the northern land right now"

" yes but look what's happening in their land" the fire demon states

Toga listened and told them he will decide what was best for his land, and his eldest son will be the next ruler. He glared at all of them, warning them not to bring this up again. After his little display, he walks away from the room.

, Sesshomaru instead of going back home went to the shrine they built for his mother. He looked at the picture of her and paid his respect. Then walk in to meditate. Inuyasha outside looks at Kouga before grumbling about wasting time.

Sesshomaru sat down on the floor in a crisscrossing position before closing his eyes. While meditating he felt his mothers presence. He opened to see her in front of him. " Mother?!"

His mother smiles " my son, we have a lot to talk about" she says looking at how well he has grown.
