Canon takes a brick in the face by the name of Carver Hawke. Or: The "modern character in Thedas" trope done a liiiittle differently. Maker have mercy on us all. Or: I can't find a fic where the transmigrated modern figure in Thedas actually massively changes canon from DAO to DAI, so I write it myself.

For the Prince-Consort, the day of the conclave was just another day where his actions and decisions would affect countless people in his kingdom. What he didn't know, was that what would happen that day would not only affect his people, but all of Thedas itself. Stuck in the dreary realm that is the Fade, the Prince better find his way back, lest the world end in his absence.

The Blight has ended, but a new threat begins to reveal itself in Kirkwall. What happens when the legendary Hero of Ferelden gets thrown into the mix? And she's got about a thousand secrets to hide? Some she doesn't even realize fully yet herself? Romance. Mystery. Tragedy. Adventure. And constant sarcastic jokes. Multiple pairings. M for violence, language, and future smut.

Varric asks Fenris for a favor before he and Hawke go into the Deep Roads. What will this favor turn into and how will it change Fenris' life? Rated M for later content and I plan on updating at least once a week (probably on Wednesdays)! The chapters are starting short but they will get much longer!

[Currently remastering] Hawke's as much a mage as Fenris is an elf: it's complicated. Another thing they have in common is they have broken hearts. Lastly, they both share the opinion that the other is tedious and annoying (this a widely held opinion). A story about coming together by being apart, about memory and meaning, and about when to shut up.
