Chapter 5: A mystery

Naruto shook his offered hand and blinked when she saw his wide smile, so contagious that she felt her own getting a bit wider and finally bringing some life back to her eyes. (Though not even 1 percent of how it used to be Before) She felt that she had heard his name somewhere but couldn't quite recall when or why. (She remembers feeling her stomach turn as if pushing something out).She shrugged thinking that if she did not remember a name then it must not be that important for the world.

She felt him tug her hand towards the village center. Looking up she found his eyes take a stern sheen looking so much like Sasuke's (oh how she wanted to punch that face for leaving her all alone and beg him to pleasepleaseplease come back) that she just wanted to run away yesterday and leave Shisui alone. (Her eye starts bleeding again) However instead of doing just that she asked-

"Where are we going?"

"We are going to the hospital because you require immediate medical attention" he said. Quite eloquently for a boy of 5 years, though she should not be surprised since he is an Uchiha.

She yanked her hand from his grip (immediately her stomach settled back to how it was before and the bleeding stopped) and took a step back. "No" she snapped "I am not going to any hospital" what is this, why do I suddenly feel better after removing my hand from his grasp, did he do something to me? She eyed him warily.

"But why-" he asked confused "-your eyes are bleeding and you clearly have been involved in some fight since your clothes…" he trailed off when she brought a Kunai seemingly out of thin air and used it to peer at her own reflection.

Her breath caught when she saw her left eye bleeding, she closed it and saw a crow flash in her mind and cursed when the implications dawned on her. Oh Sasuke what did you do? Or was it Itachi? She does remember him using crows.

"Uzunami-san are you alright?" Shisui enquired.

She took a shuddering breath and tried to calm down her heart. She nodded.

"Yes Uchiha-san I am alright, but I need to go somewhere right now!" I want to be alone right now and think of this new conundrum, just who is Shisui Uchiha?

"But what about the hospital, and drop the honorifics please" he asked isn't she in pain? That looks quite painful to me though

"You see Uchiha-san err Shisui-kun, I heal fast and this is nothing I can't handle. And please call me Hina. So I will be on my way now and thank you for offering to escort me" (Oh she wants to be alone Shisui thought) She said sincerely because she can feel the confusion, concern and a bit of disbelief emanating from him in waves. Looks like I still have Kurama's emotion sensing abilities

"Not a problem, anyone would have done that if they were in my position. (No, not anyone, it's just you who is kind Shisu-kuni, children can be very cruel, I have experienced it first hand) Do take care of yourself though Hina-chan, and let's meet up some time, kay?"

"Sure, Bye then Shisui-kun" She waved nonchalantly and got the hell away from the mysterious situation. She did not want to waste any more time being near him as she was obviously in pain because of his presence or rather his touch(Although she did find him a bit refreshing and reluctantly admits that the physical pain anchored her to the present, she still wanted to be left alone) and disappeared in a yellow flash.

Shisui stood there, stunned when he saw her disappear like that. He only knew of one person who is known to disappear like that however it is impossible for a mere child to replicate THE YELLOW FLASH'S technique, plus I have never seen him actually use it, so maybe it was just Hina-chan's technique.

Something was not quite right with that girl, he could feel it. Her hair color just like Namikaze-san, her bleeding eyes as if she had a dojutsu (or a sharingan, his traitorous mind whispered) her cold and too sharp eyes that looked at him as if ready to kill at a moment's notice. Her pulling out a kunai from thin air as if it was nothing, her bloody clothes as if she was in a war zone, her pain tolerance when she did not even blink when blood kept pouring from her eye. He has to keep an eye on her to determine if she is threat to the village or not.

He will not be reporting about this encounter to the higher authorities to give Hina-chan the benefit of doubt she was too hurt and genuine but he will have to arrange "accidental meetings" to be with her. He does not know why, but he felt that she was like him, all alone in this war-torn world and wanted to see her smile at him this time.

A/N: Well can you guess why is her eye bleeding, and what is Sasuke's or Itachi's role? Well I can guarantee that there will be a small twist when it came to reacting with Shisui's touch. I will be replying to your comments in the here only.
