CHAPTER 12: REVELATIONS

Many shinobi sensed something was amiss in the air but only sensory ninjas were able to identify the potent chakra surging from the direction of the Forest of Death. Minato was on grocery shopping with Kushina when he sensed the power surge.

"I will be back in a bit" he said to Kushina with hard eyes. She quickly perceived that something was wrong and nodded, taking the grocery bags from his hands. He disappeared in a yellow flash and reappeared on his hirashin marker in the forest nearest to the potent chakra. Just as he landed on a branch, the chakra vanished as if it was never there. He thought he heard someone shout his name, So he moved towards its direction to verify if it was an attempt to harm the village or not. He will not allow anyone to harm his home, he thought determined.

As he was nearing his destination he found it odd that the flora was thickening but chalked it off to the miracles of the Forest of Death. When he reached, his eyes widened when he found cracks on the ground in the shape of a circle, as if someone was standing in the middle and the ground cracked surrounding them. Someone was attempting a large scale jutsu He started investigating and saw some burnt leaf swirling in the air with the breeze. And they were half successful.

As he was investigating, four other ninjas landed near him. "Namikaze, report." The one he assumed as the team leader commanded.

"As I was shopping in the village I felt an extreme potent chakra surge coming from the direction of Training Grounds 44 and hirashined here to investigate the source. As soon as I reached, the chakra vanished. I continued on the trail and found several leaves burned as if someone was trying a large-scale jutsu or practicing control using these leaves, you arrived thereafter." He reported and the captain nodded.

"Inuzuka-san check for the number of intruders, their trail and their place of hiding" the captain asked his teammate.

"Already on it sir, there were two people, one of them was Orochimaru-san and the other is an unknown, they have not left any trail behind therefore I cannot find their hiding place." She sniffed the air once more to accurately report her findings.

"What is your report Ginko-san?" He asked the other teammate.

"It's the same as Inuzuka-san, I can sense Orochimaru's and one other unknown's chakra lingering in here, however it is that unknown's chakra that is tinged with that potent element of the power surge, although I am not too sure as it left only a trace amount" Reported Ginko.

"So they are not intruders then, if Orochimaru-san is with them" The Captain concluded. All five of them exhaled a sigh of relief as they were worried that the leaf village has been infiltrated during the war the morale would have crumpled and the chances of in-village causalities would have reached all-time high and lost some tension in their shoulders when they realized that was not the case.

Still Minato thought as he squared his shoulders, I will have to up my training to become a better sensor who can also sense the lingering chakra a person leaves behind to protect his precious people better.

And the world tilted sideways again because in the previous timeline no such infiltration attempt happened to motivate him to up his training. With the help of this skill he would have been able to sense Obito's chakra lingering before he went all insane when Rin was killed, making his chakra darker, heavier therefore unrecognizable.

As soon as they landed in a cave, near the outskirts of the village, Naruto gasped, and panted when she felt pain wrecking all over her body but it disappeared as soon as it came, making her blink as if it was just her imagination but no, it was not she realized with trepidation. Due to her friends' chakra and her own high pain tolerance she did not perceive the pain she was in every time she used Hirashin because the markers she is using in this timeline are not her upgraded version's but her father's. Her version requires more chakra and less control. Due to her forcefully using Hirashin without the proper control, her body would have been torn apart if not for her friends keeping her safe and ending the pain she felt almost instantaneously. She only realized this now because she had to bring Orochimaru with her as well and due to her disastrous chakra control she was left reeling with pain for longer than she was left with when hirashining alone.

She was shaken out of her thoughts when her body moved on instinct using a Kunai to block an attack to her neck made by none other than Orochimaru himself.

"Now tell me why I shouldn't just kill you right now for trying to harm me and my village" He hissed like a snake he was, forcing his kunai to lean more towards her neck.

"I know you are working with Danzo, Orochimaru. You are obsessed with the Sharingan and you are very scared of death which is why you keep on searching for methods to reach immortality. You use prisoners of war as your test subjects without telling your so-called Sensei, the third Hokage, whose permission is falsely granted on papers by Danzo. I know everything about you that there is to know. So it will be in your best interest to not kill me as you put it, not that you could ever, even if you try to." She explained, her eyes cold and sharp, unfazed by his meager killing intent when compared to Kaguya.

"All the more reason to kill you, plus I like a good challenge" He growled panicking inside.

Closing her eyes, Naruto took a calming breath as if reaching a decision and moved her right hand facing him, which he immediately held with his left hand just in case she tried one handed seals-

And gasped when red blood was spilled on both of their faces, it took him a second to realize that his left hand had been cut off cleanly from his wrist by a solid black ball that appeared out of thin air. The grip on the Kunai on her neck loosened and she immediately used it to her advantage and shrugged Orochimaru off her with ease.

"What did you- , how did you- , JUST WHO ARE YOU?" he shouted unable to process what just happened.

She called the truth seeker orb back to her right hand where it disappeared right before his very eyes and he stumbled back at the show of power. Holding his left wrist with his right hand in a futile attempt to stop the bleeding he staggered towards the wall.

"I am Uzumaki Namikaze Naruto, Daughter of the fourth Hokage Namikaze Minato and previous Jinjuriki Uzumaki Kushina, Goddaughter of Jiraya of the Sanin, the Sixth Hokage of the village hidden in the leaves, commander-in-chief of the world shinobi alliance, the Nine-Tails Jinjuriki, reincarnation of the sage of sixth path's son and the Child of Prophecy."

With each introduction his eyes widened a bit more until it seemed that they would pop out of his skull from how big they had gotten.

"What?" His voice cracked and for the first time in his life he felt like an idiot.

She came close to him and despite his instincts warning him to just run away from this monster; he stayed rooted on the spot, his mind fascinated by the mysterious girl who claims to be from the future.

She picked up the cut part of his hand from the floor and reached for his wrist. He flinched when he realized that he had momentarily forgotten about his hand and was going to snatch it away when she caught it as if reading his mind.

"Don't be stubborn Orochimaru and let me see" Before he could try anything else, Chakra so pure and warm filled his body that he felt his breath hitch when the seal on his tongue was also dissolved. He had never felt so light in his entire life. Instead of the green medical chakra, Naruto attached his hand with white chakra radiating from the center of her right palm. She looked at him sharply when he felt the seal.

"You are also Danzo's puppet?" she asked urgently as if reevaluating him.

He snorted "Of course not, it was a mutual agreement. I also have a seal on him" he stated with mirth and she punched him in the gut making him lean forward.

"Now what do you think about me being a challenge Orochimaru?" she stated slyly smirking at him.

"YOU BRAT! WHAT DID I TELL ABOUT NOT REVEALING ANYTHING TO ANYONE TILL I REACH YOU? HUH?"

Oh this is our unpredictable knucklehead Naruto and she will never listen to anyone.

A/N there were many revelations in this chapter. First Minato is a sensor and is going to train more. Second, Naruto is hurting her body when she uses hirashin because she does not have appropriate chakra control. Third, she reveals her name and her yang power to Orochimaru. Fourth, Kurama has finally arrived.
