Part 8 - Meeting New Friends
The door was opened up by Sarah, Billy's wife (She is alive in my story, Billy does not have wheelchair yet either.), who smiled big, and let the two in, she also gave Bella a hug of her own, as she really liked that girl, and Bella loved Sarah anyways, so she happily hugged the woman who had become like an extra mom and a better mom too to her.
Charlie greeted her with a kiss on cheek, and a hug, before he let go of her, and the two were then lead into the living room, where most of the others were, including Jacob, and his older sisters who were twins. Bella saw the twins, ignoring Jacob for now, and said
"Rach, Becca. You are back too?" At that the two girls looked over to her, and smiled, as Rach then went over and said while hugging Bella;
"Yes, we came back after being done with school for the term. So how are you doing, Bell?" Bella smiled, as she too hugged Becca, who came over with a tall man next to her, who also held a small baby in his arms, and said
"Oh this must be your son, Becca?" Rebecca grinned, as she said
"Yes and this is my husband, Solomon, or Sol for short. And this little one in his arms, is our son, Micah."
Bella grinned, and shook the man's outstreched hand to her, and both smiled tentantively, as she then answered Rach's question;
"I am doing so much better, not full 100% but close to it at least. What about yourselves?"
"I am doing good, just single as I broke it off with my boyfriend back at college up in Seattle, so I am good at least."
"How is the school going for you two?"
"It is going well, we both are finished now too. So we can go on to find a job in our areas."
Making Bella nodded and smile at the two, as she then turned to Sol, and said
"May I ask what you do for living, Sol?" At that he smiled slightly, said
"I am not only professional surfer on my free-time but I also work as vet back in Hawaii."
Bella grinned and nodded, as she felt that suited him as he was rightly built for that kind of job, and he seemed to really love animals and children in general.
Jacob stood meanwhile of them talking amongst themselves with slight frown on his face, as she seemed to ignore him for now, as Charlie greeted the girls with ease, then also shook hands with Solomon, then Charlie took her over to his other friends of the tribe, and said
"Bella, meet Sue and Harry Clearwater, and these are their children; Leah and Seth. This here is James and Maria Cameron with their children; Jared and Jennifer. And this is Alison and Josh Uley and their son, Sam Uley. And this here is Gene Lahote and his son, Paul. Guys, this is Bella, my daugther."
At that they all grinned or shook her hand with ease as she too smiled at them with ease, and Charlie smiled, as Sue said
"Oh how are you doing after well what happened?" Bella still smiling said
"I am not 100% but close to it, but other than that, happy to be single for long time now, and just enjoy life for once. And enjoy school again too."
Making most of them chuckle or smile at her words, as Charlie then said
"And this is Tiffany Call and her son, Embry. Tiff, Embry, this is my daugther, Bella."
Bella gave a soft smile, as she could see both felt out of their comfort being here and that Embry seemed to be rather shy too, but he at least shook her hand in his, and she said
"Do not worry, it is ok to be shy too, I am too in some circumstances, Embry." And that made him smile more with ease, and Tiffany was just happy to hear she seemed to be alike her only son, and she went ahead to talk to Charlie, and Bella was lead by shy Embry to where Jacob and another boy was at, and Charlie gave a look every now and then, as Embry said softly
"Bella, meet Quil Aterea the 5th. Quil, meet Bella Swan. And Jacob you seem to know already who he is."
Bella nodded at that, and shook Quil's outstreched hand in her own, and he said
"Nice to meet you, Bella. So you are Charlie's daugther?"
"Yes, and proud to be too, as he is an amazing father afterall. What he has done for me so far, means alot to me."
Making him nod and smile with ease, as Jacob stood frowning at their conversation, and she didnt see it, but said
"Hello Jacob." He frowned abit, but said with easy smile
"Hey Bells." Bella frowned abit at this, but said
"My name is Bella, Jacob, not Bells. Only dad can call me that. Surely you knew that."
"Sure, sure." Bella just shook her head, and went back to ignore him for abit, while the other two boys sighed and had also heard say she was happily single for now, and wouldnt be open for dating anyone, and hearing the why, made sense to them, and Quil being more forward and open to talk to Jacob nowadays, said to him to lay off, and leave the girl alone as she is not interested in him.
Jacob just gave his friend a frown and abit of a glare, that both of them ignored for now, and Bella went back to her dad's side, and he smiled when she came over and said to her softly
"You Ok, Bells?" She nodded, but said
"I am ok, just annoyed at Jacob, who seemed to think your nickname is ok for him to use for me too. But I told him off and got to know both Embry and Quil abit better while ignoring him."
Charlie just smiled, and nodded at her, wrapping an easy arm around and she leaned onto his chest area with ease, and he let her do so, as she was known to do so nowadays. It was something that comforted her after some hard feelings like being annoyed, angry etc, she would go to him for comforting hug or whatever he would give her. Jacob stood still in his place, and stared at her back or rather ass, as he felt she was his girl already and allowed to look at her ass like that. Others seemed to notice her ignoring the boy with ease, and that she didnt see that he was staring at her ass.
Sarah came out of the kitchen now, and said
"Food is ready." And Charlie took Bella's hand in his gently, and the two went inside and got a plate each, and filled it up with this yummy food before them, and Bella said
"Oh wow, Sarah, you really went out on cooking up this storm of food. It looks delicious like always."
Sarah just smiled, and said
"Thanks, sweetheart, and just dig in, and I will give some reciept later on too, Bella." Bella just smiled and nodded, as she always loved to get some more reciept of the woman to try out on her and Charlie later on too. Charlie just smiled at this prospect of being cooked a meal of Sarah's reciepts of food. The two took a seat next to each other a couch that had only 2 seats, he did it, so none of the others especially Jacob could go and sit by her side and harrass her some more. Bella just thanked him of that thought, and he just smiled and the two went ahead to eat their food.
Meanwhile they talked to the others, and Bella got new friends both of the younger ones but also some of the adults around aswell, as she already knew Sue and Sarah aswell Harry and Josh rather well since before and her childhood days. So she just spoke with them with alot of ease and they were happy to see her being back to the girl she used to be again.
Jacob sat in his seat, steaming in anger of her ignorance and that she seemed not really love him like he thought he did with her. But others could tell this was more obsessive love than truly love her like a person. And since their age difference was shown even more nowadays, as she seemed to act more an adult even around those of her age group, and that she seemed to know what she wanted out of her life for now too.
