For anyone who has read Mosaic knows that Kathryn and Admiral Paris were captured for probably less than a day before being rescued... my story takes that and makes it last longer.

In the beginning, he did not know who or what he was. Rescued from a dying Borg cube by Seven and the crew of Voyager, the neonatal drone originally designated "Second" becomes Icheb, a valued part of Voyager's crew. For the first year after a tragic slipstream flight cost all but two of Voyager's crew their lives, Chakotay is haunted by the memory of Kathryn Janeway and the last night they spent together. When his search for healing leads him to Deep Space Nine, he meets a counselor who helps him find what he needs to move forward. Canon compliant.

The Borg do not sing lullabies ... but then, they don't have nightmares either.
