chapter 1
Thousands of years ago the Autobots waged war against the brutal Decepticons. The Autobots fought valiantly in the name of honor and defeating the horrible Decepticons and inspiring generations of countless robots yet to come online.
"Talk about a load of scrap metal," a bot named Red cross said. "Why do you waste your time with those old history videos?" he asked his commanding officer.
"All the great Autobot leaders learn from the past Red cross," said the flame job Autobot.
"Look around Prime the great war has been over for centuries," Red cross said.
"But you were there Red cross what were the Decepticons like?" the prime asked.
"Trust me young'un your better off not knowing, it's for the best, I would hate to give you nightmares," Red cross said. "Besides Rodimus it looks like the youngsters need a hand," he said pointing.
Rodimus looked outside and saw what Red cross was talking about.
"I need a little help here, I am upside down and tangled in wire...again," a bot said.
"Oh boy," Rodimus said with a sigh. "Red cross do you feel like you are meant for more than just being mere exploration bot?" he asked.
"I got a good method for getting rid of that feeling, but still we all get these feelings at times," Red cross said.
They headed outside.
"Come on ya'll I am getting dizzy here," the bot said.
"Okay I'm coming Ironhide," a bot said.
"Well can you hurry it up Smokescreen?" Ironhide asked.
Smokescreen was working on it. "Just hang on I am working as fast as I can," Smokescreen said. Then there was a sound. "That doesn't sound good," he said.
Then the rocks crumbled and the two bots fell. "Oof," they said.
"Nice going," Ironhide said.
"How is it my fault? Who could've predicted the rocks were going to crumble and break?" Smokescreen said.
"What seems to be the problem here?" Rodimus asked.
"I believe the technical term is a ton of rocks and things around and inside them causing us trouble while trying to collect specimens." Smokescreen said.
"You know I wonder why we must collect specimens way out here? I hear this place is prone to getting meteor showers," Ironhide said.
"That doesn't matter Ironhide we have a job to do here, no job is too big with the right tools and a little team work," Rodimus said. Then got out some tools and started to collect things. "Everyone let's do this," he said. "Ironhide, Smokescreen, come on Red cross, and Drift," he said. Then he looked around. "Hey where is Drift?" he asked.
Then something came up and there was some slashing and things gathered. "Just have to know which ones truly need gathering," Drift said.
"Next time Drift give us some fair warning," Rodimus told him.
"That would just throw off my concentration," Drift argued.
"Young bots, you can't live with them, can't eat with them, can't work with them, can't melt them down for spare parts," Red cross said.
"Why is he so cranky so often?" Ironhide asked.
"You would be cranky too if you were a rusty old bucket," Smokescreen said. Then he was smacked. "Ow!" he said.
"I maybe a rusty old bucket, but I can still hear," Red cross said pointing at his audios.
"Alright all of you I know we are out on a thankless and credit less assignment," Rodimus said.
"Here we go again," Drift said.
"We are all part of the great Autobot machine which is stronger as a whole together we can do anything we can even catch the stars if we tried," Rodimus said.
Then a meteor shower started.
"Watch out," Ironhide said.
Rodimus got work and got everyone out of the way and busted apart a huge meteor before it could destroy the ship and his crew. Then the meteor shower stopped. "That was most impressive," Drift said closing Ironhide's mouth.
"Where did you learn all of that?" Ironhide asked.
"I trained at the Autobot Academy," Rodimus said.
"How does an academy bot become part of a lowly exploration crew?' Red cross asked.
Then there was a flash of light. Rodimus pried a rock apart and there was something there. "What is it? Should we take it aboard the ship and have Red cross check it out," Smokescreen said.
"Leave it, this type of thing is not meant to be found better yet we should chuck it and send it to an unknown location," Red cross said.
"What has got you so freaked out Red cross?" Rodimus asked.
"Teletran 2 to Rodimus Prime. Warning ship closing in ID as Decepticon," the computer said.
"That's impossible, the Decepticons were destroyed a long time ago," Rodimus said.
"Defeated not destroyed now load this thing up, we need to get moving," Red Cross said.
They took the chest aboard the ship. "Prime you are the history bot ever hear of the relic treasures and chest?" Red cross asked.
"Of course it is full of many Cybertronian things, ranging from special tools, and gear for tasks and battles, and even weapons of mass destruction," Rodimus said.
"Everybot knows that," Ironhide said.
"Here is another the only reason we were able to win the great war was keeping the relics out of Decepticon hands we threw it through a space bridge to a far flung corner of the galaxy and then we destroyed the bridge we sent it through so the Decepticons would never find it," Red cross said.
"Are you saying we really found the great relics of Cybertron and they are in this chest?" Smokescreen asked.
"No I am saying it found us," Red cross said.
"Teletran 2 warning, ship closing positive as Decepticon warship." Teletran 2 said.
They were shocked. "You wanted action kid be careful what you wish for," Red cross said.
"We are an exploration crew, please tell me you are not thinking about taking on Decepticons?!" Smokescreen said.
"Not without back up, put me through to Autobot HQ," Rodimus said.
"Wow when you want back up you go straight to the top." Ironhide said.
The screen came on. "Rodimus Prime don't tell me they still allow you to command other Autobots," Highhorse said.
"Save it Highhorse I need to talk to Optimus Grand Prime," Rodimus said.
"What would the leader of the Autobots want to talk to you?" Highhorse said.
"Display cargo hold visual," Rodimus said. The chest appeared on the screen.
"I will put you through right away," Highhorse said.
Then an old bot appeared on screen. "Optimus grand Prime here. Rodimus we are tracking your Decepticon signal, it maybe an old scout ship, since they got driven off Cybertron they have been roaming the area. They wouldn't be foolish enough to invade Autobot air space, but I fear they might, so I am sending out a strike force to intercept so don't worry alright," Optimus said. "Now Rodimus remember don't do anything to risky, your destiny is still not clear yet." he said. Then he hung up.
"Okay now what?" Smokescreen asked.
"We are going to get out of here," Rodimus said.
"But Optimus Grand Prime said to sit tight." Ironhide said.
"In all fairness Ironhide Optimus prime isn't carrying the chest that contains the great relics of Cybertron," Rodimus said. "Let's get out of here as fast as we can and blast through any debris that is in our way." he said.
Then something big was there. "Um boss I am not sure we can blast through that," Ironhide said.
It was a Decepticon warship. "It's a flag ship I know by the markings from my studies," Rodimus said.
"You know what that means? Megatron," Red cross said.
"Megatron? The Decepticon leader who was said to have destroyed a whole Autobot unit with one blast of his fusion cannon?" Smokescreen asked.
Red cross nodded his head.
Meanwhile on the Decepticon ship.
"I can hardly believe that the chest with these relics would be on such a simple vessel," a con said.
"You are a ignorant fool Sideways, Megatron is bold, wise and strong, he will return the Decepticons to Cybertron," a large bot said.
"And wipe our homeland clean of Autobot tyranny, blah, blah.. did you learn that speech perfectly Demolisher? Or is it hard wired into that thick head of yours?" a bot with mangled form said.
Then an other con came up. "As usual Roadripper you are as hard to bear as the parts of of your body that are irreparable," he said.
"Why don't you mind your own business bug boy?' Roadripper said.
"My name is Scorpanok," Scorpanok said.
"Now will all of you quit it you know Megatron has better things to do with his time than listen to you all argue and fight." a seeker said. "Besides I think the last thing we need is to start up the war again it caused massive losses on both sides," he added.
"You know Starscream you are hard to listen to as his second in command mostly because you insist on being pals with that little minicon of yours," Sideways said.
Then the arguing continued. Megatron came in. "Starscream report now," Megatron said.
"We are picking up a unique energy reading my liege," Starscream said.
"Sir should we fire on them?" Sideways asked.
"Cripple the ship but don't destroy it, Starscream come with me," Megatron said.
"Yes sir," Starscream said. Then they went to get ready to leave the ship.
Sideways came up behind them and placed something on Megatron. "What do you want Sideways?" Megatron asked.
"Just to wish you both luck," Sideways said.
"We don't need luck," Megatron said. "Starscream you're in charge until I get back," he said.
"Yes sir," Starscream said.
Megatron took off. Then got on to the ship. "Megatron is on the ship." Rodimus said.
Megatron was attacking them. "Yikes he's even scarier than the stories describe," Smokescreen said. Then there was an explosion and Megatron was badly damaged. The fight continued. It was pretty tough.
"Look out," Red cross said.
"Whoa," Rodimus said. Then the ship a was heading for a crash course for earth. Rodimus managed to wrestle Megatron and knock him out of the airlock and he started to burn on reentry. Rodimus came back in. "Everyone into the stasis pods now," he said.
"What about you?" Smokescreen asked.
"Not until I get us away from this populated sector." Rodimus said and steered it away.
Megatron's body crashed in a nearby field and a newly wed couple found it.
The ship was steered out of the way and into the water. Rodimus and his crew went into stasis.
45 years later.
"Long ago Houston was know for a many kinds of tech and now it is most known for this special tech robots," Mr. Talin said.
"Yes they do many jobs that are hard to do, such as ones that could be threatening to ones health, they do many things and they are built here in Talin Tech." Mrs. Talin said.
"How did you get inspired to build all you robots?" one of the second graders asked.
"It is something we kind of came across one day," Mrs. Talin said.
The a young lady who looked like she was about 22 . "Steeljaw where are you boy?" she called. Then a robot dog ran up and on her. "There you are I have been looking for you," she said.
"Forgive us, this our daughter Hannah," Mr. Talin said.
"Hi," Hannah said. "This Steeljaw," she said.
"So what is it like to have grown up around all these cool robots since you are all grown up?" one of the second graders asked.
"It's pretty neat, mom and dad made special robots for all my needs, a cook bot, a doctor bot, a bot who would play games with me, and a teacher bot to teach me things, I have been homeschooled my whole life, pretty much been been doctored by doctor bot who has all the knowledge of every medical specialty, so I rarely got to experience things other kids experienced," Hannah said.
The second graders started whispering about this lady.
"Hannah shouldn't you get back to your studies?" Mrs. Talin said.
"Okay mom, come on Steeljaw let's go," Hannah said and left.
Mr. and Mrs. Talin continued the tour. "Okay now here is where we come up with new tech and robots for testing." Mr. Talin said.
Then something broke out of the lab. Everyone began to panic.
"All points bulletin we got an emergency at Talin Tech.." a police radio said and the officer headed off to the company.
There at the plant. "This is why machines are sometimes such a pain." the police chief said. "Okay you lot secure the area and keep it away from civilians." he said.
Then they attacked the creature and a part of it blew off. It went down the bay and got into the ship. Then the bots awoke from stasis. "Ugh," they said.
"How long were we in stasis?" Smokescreen asked.
"I am not sure," Rodimus said.
"What cause the alarm to go off?" Ironhide asked.
Then Drift saw the part of the creature that came in. "I think this is the culprit," Drift said looking at it as it slipped around.
Red cross took it and put it in a container. "Whatever it is it's got circuitry and it looks like it 's also organic," Red cross said.
"Teletran 2 do a scan to see what is happening out there," Rodimus ordered.
The satellite went up and scanned and there was a lot going on there. "Looks like they could use some help," Smokescreen said.
"We will but Teletran 2 scan the local life forms so we can blend in better," Rodimus said.
Teletran 2 scanned some of the vehicles there.
They all went in the chamber and came out.
"Okay Autobots transform and roll out." Rodimus said.
They all transformed.
Rodimus was a large new kind of futuristic kind of vehicle. "Not bad," he said.
Smokescreen was a sports car that came with a siren. "Sweet," he said.
Ironhide was a large pick up truck. "Big and strong," he said.
Drift was a Japanese model car. "Impressive," he said.
Red cross was an ambulance. "It will do," Red cross said.
"Okay now let's go," Rodimus said and they headed out.
"Aren't you coming?" Smokescreen asked Red cross.
"Someone has got to analyze this thing." Red cross said. "Besides who needs the help of an old rust bucket?" he asked.
"Still haven't let that go have you?" Smokescreen said.
"No I have not," Red cross said.
"Okay suite yourself," Smokescreen said and left with the others.
They came out and transformed. The people were in awe.
Hannah came out with Steeljaw when the creature made a grab for her.
"Oh now," Rodimus said and shot at the tentacle and made it drop her. Smokescreen caught her.
"You okay?" Smokescreen asked.
"Yes," Hannah said.
"I'm Smokescreen," he said.
"I'm Hannah and this is Steeljaw," Hannah said.
Steeljaw barked at him.
Then the thing kept attacking. Drift went in for it and was absorbed. "Rodimus I figured out how to stop it I am sending you a kill code and it must be delivered in the right spot which is it's head," Red cross said.
"We need the fastest on here to go," Rodimus said.
"Oh lucky me," Smokescreen said and took the code and took off.
They were keeping it distracted. "Is it just me or is it getting smarter?" Ironhide asked.
"Yes smart like Drift," Rodimus said. "Oh no it's merged with Drift's com link it hears what we are saying!" he said.
Then quickly Smokescreen got the code in and the creature was destroyed. Drift came too. "What happened?" Drift asked Rodimus.
"Your teammates saved your circuits Drift," Rodimus said.
Drift groaned he was hurt.
"That's not good," Rodimus said. "We need to get him back to the ship, load him in gently Ironhide," he said.
They headed back to the ship and Hannah and Steeljaw followed inside Smokescreen. Hannah saw the relic chest. "Whoa what is that?" Hannah asked getting close. The two of them had some sort of mind talk. "Did we have a conversation of some sort?" she asked.
Then a new relic was created and given to her. "So is this for me?" Hannah asked.
"Hey how did you get in here?" Rodimus asked finding her.
"Hi," Hannah said.
"She followed me," Smokescreen said.
They head towards the medical bay where the others were. Things were very worrisome right now because Drift was badly damaged. Then the relic Hannah was given began to glow. Rodimus placed her on the table and Hannah used the relic to heal Drift.
"Some amazing cure," Drift said.
"Impressive it's a new a kind of relic," Red cross said.
"Can all humans do that?" Smokescreen asked.
"I don't even know how I did that," Hannah said.
"I think it was this," Red cross said looking at the relic Hannah had been given.
"Right now nothing surprises me I have seen more in this one solar cycle than have a in a the past year or so," Rodimus said.
"The solar cycle isn't over yet," Red cross said.
"I think my parents are looking for me," Hannah said.
They made it out and they saw the Autobots. "Don't worry their friendly well the red and white one is kind of a grump, but he's harmless," Hannah said.
A ceremony was held. "Here we are to thank the Autobots for helping us and Rodimus Prime the leader of this brave bunch of heroes," Mr. Talin said and shook Rodimus' hand.
"To think Optimus told me not to do anything risky, is this what it was like in your day?" Rodimus asked.
"Let's just say the Decepticons didn't leave us much to cheer about," Red cross said.
Meanwhile.
"It has been many years and I feel that the chest is near and I will get it," Sideways said.
Back on earth the Autobots were becoming familiar with earth. "This place we have much to learn about you know, and I know you have much to learn from us so don't worry we will help you and I know you can help us," Rodimus said.
Hannah was helping them learn about earth and such.
She even gave them a place to stay it was an abandoned plant, it belongs to her parents he got in a merger and her parents said they could stay there as long as they like.
They were being a big help too.
Then who should appear but Sideways he wanted the chest and Rodimus and his crew were trying to keep it from him. Rodimus fought hard managed fire a shot the send Sideways flying and who knows where he went. Rodimus fell and was falling fast. "Guys he's falling," Hannah said.
"Quick catch him." Red cross and said and they managed to catch him. "You alright Prime?" he asked.
"Yes I think so pretty sore but I'll live," Rodimus said.
Things were calm again and the Autobots were helping the people rebuild the city and helping many humans. "As Houston recovers from this clash of the giant alien robots, the Autobots have saved all of us from the Decepticons and now they are helping repair our city and lives and from this reporter has one thing to say to our giant metal protectors, thank you," the man on the TV said.
"I don't know where we can begin thanking them, but if they knew the truth behind or robotics and tech would they forgive us?" Mr. Talin said.
"I am sure they will," Mrs. Talin said.
Megatron's head was in their lab and the optic was lit he was still alive.
