The rest of the day was a blur to everyone involved as the parents processed what happened to their children, what could have happened to their children, and what they were going to do for their children because of it. The school was hardly done with beefing up security, with every conceivable measure thought out and written down. Principal Nezu made many promises, though the parents were all wondering if it wasn't too little too late.
The police were contacted and plans were made to escort the villainess to a safe location where they could assess who she was and deal with her according to the law. Such accommodations weren't easy to produce, given the nature of her quirk. And UA was told it could be several weeks before the resources could be spared.
Izuku and Momo said their farewells to their parents who had exchanged information and promised to more thoroughly discuss Mr. Yaoyorozu's proposal. Although the two teens had agreed to it, Mrs. Midoriya had yet to give her approval. Though she seemed reluctantly resigned to it nonetheless.
Mina and Ochaco locked themselves in their rooms and seemed to be decompressing from their ordeals. Izuku wanted to talk to them, help them, comfort them if he could, but Momo convinced him to give them space. The other girls, Hagakure, Asui, and Jiro watched several comedy movies in the common area of the dorm, but none of them laughed. They were too engrossed in what had happened and what could have happened.
As for the rest of the class, they were informed only that due to certain circumstances which didn't concern them, that their fellow students would not be attending classes for the next three days. And although they were all curious as to why, Mr. Aizawa remained tight-lipped.
Those days passed rather quickly. Although none of girls or Izuku had really recovered psychologically, they were ready to start classes again nonetheless. Izuku hadn't talked to any of the girls in those three days, instead visiting frequently with All Might, texting his mom, and visiting the gym. He wanted to refocus his mind, and seeing the girls… especially Momo, Mina, and Ochaco, just triggered his memories of all that had happened.
When they returned to class, everyone was rather excited to see them.
"Where the heck of all of you been!? We've had to endure the most boring lessons and you all get a vacation?! And Izuku! You're all alone in the dorms with all the hot babes! Why? Why you!? TEEELL MEEE!" Mineta was rabid at the return of their classmates, who had avoided the others for the past three days.
"Cool your jets, Mineta! Geez! Mr. Aizawa said for us not to ask. Glad you're back, guys! Missed you around here." Kaminari said.
"Indeed, we were worried. We haven't been told anything! I have taken the liberty of copying my notes for all of you so as to keep you up to date." Iida said.
Midoriya smiled at that. Iida was a good friend. It must have been tedious to write out the same notes for seven people.
"Thanks, Iida! That helps a lot."
The girls agreed, thanking the tall boy and taking the notes.
Kirishima, his arms resting behind his head as he leaned back in his desk, spoke next.
"So, I know we were told not to ask, but I'm just as curious as Mineta. Can you guys tell us anything? Anything at all? I won't press it. But man, I'm curious."
"Sorry," Yaoyorozu said. "But I don't think anyone really wants to share. Its personal, so I'm afraid I'm not too eager. I don't think Midoriya, Ashido, Asui, Jiro, Hagakure, or Uraraka are either."
The others agreed with her, and after a few more welcome backs, they sat down in their seats and got ready for a normal school day. And while most kids might hate a normal school day, to the seven that had gone through the excitement of three days past, it was a very welcome reprieve.
Mr. Aizawa entered the class with a shuffle.
"Good Morning. Glad to see you're all ready to start. For once. Get dressed in your costumes and meet me at Ground Beta."
"First thing in the morning?" Todoroki asked.
"In case you all didn't notice; a sizable portion of the class was absent for the past three days. I don't hold this against them. However, now that we're all together again, I'd like to use the opportunity to get back into more practical lessons. Consider this an extended Hero Informatics period."
No one complained, Hero classes were always more fun and in the minds of the students, relevant. The seven that had been absent for the past few days were also glad that they would be working up a sweat and moving around. Sitting still for too long brought on memories none of them wanted to relive.
Well, for three certain individuals, not all of the memories were so repulsive, but that only brought them a certain amount of shame and guilt.
They arrived at the gates of Ground Beta quickly, and Izuku was glad to have something to occupy his mind other than what his mom was ultimately going to decide. As the students were lining up, he caught the eye of Momo.
They stared at each other for a moment, their faces reddening.
They hadn't spoken since their engagement, and both were feeling anxious about it. However, Izuku was surprised when Momo approached him, and stood by his side, one arm holding the other. She was blushing heavily, as was he. But he didn't find her presence…uncomfortable. In fact, it was nice. An embarrassed smile came to his face that he shared with her. And to his delight, she smiled back.
"H-hey."
"H-Hello, Izuku. Do you mind if I stand next to you?"
"N-no! No, not at all! I mean, if you want to."
An awkward silence came over them.
Izuku took a deep breath to calm himself.
"I'm sorry. I- I don't really know where to start… o-or what to say, or if I should say anything… I- um. If you want to… you know, I said yes to your Dad's- I mean- We don't have to…"
He was cut off as Momo gently grasped his hand.
"D-don't worry about that Izuku. I'm, I'm okay with it. I think-" She looked away from him as she blushed even harder over the next words that came over her, "I think you'd be a great husband."
Izuku's face became even redder than before, and he even began shaking. He'd never been complimented like that before in his life, and he felt as if he'd suddenly come down with a very powerful fever.
The two were interrupted by Aizawa.
"Alright everyone, listen up. Today is a hostage crises scenario. There are 20 of you, so we're breaking up into teams of 5. That means 4 teams. We've got over an hour for this class, and we're making use of it.
"The teams will consist of 2 heroes and 2 villains, with 1 hostage. The student playing the hostage is not allowed to use their quirk, but may attempt to escape whenever an opportunity presents itself. Everyone with me so far?"
Everyone nodded in the affirmative.
"Good. The villains will be in possession of the hostage from the beginning. Your goal is to get to a secret location that I will give you when you're selected. That will be your base. If one of you ends up captured, you don't necessarily lose. All you need to do is get to your base with the hostage, and you've won.
"Heroes. Your win condition is harder. Just like in real life. You must capture or incapacitate both villains and rescue the hostage. In this case, rescuing the hostage means taking him or her to a location of your own. That will be your safe house. It too, will be secret. But, if the villains discover it, its an automatic loss for you. Understood?"
Again, everyone nodded.
"Good. No foolish questions today. You lot are improving. Now then, to make this fair… I'll be using a randomizer on my phone to get you into teams. I will then select who is doing what."
Aizawa plucked his phone from his pocket and fiddled with it for a few moments.
"First up is… Todoroki, Uraraka, Mineta, Tsuyu, and Aoyama. Mineta, you'll be the hostage. Todoroki and Uraraka, you're the heroes. Tsuyu, Aoyama, you're the villains.
"Next, we have… Koda, Hagakure, Sero, Sato, and Shoji. Hmmm. Shoji, you're the hostage. Sato and Sero, you're the villains. Koda and Hagakure, you're going to be the heroes."
"What?! You've got to be kidding me! That's like, so totally unfair, Mr. Aizawa!"
"Life's not fair, Hagakure. Do your best, and then do better than that. If you don't believe in that, you shouldn't have enrolled in UA."
She fell silent, but her group couldn't help but agree. Sato and Sero had good offensive abilities and mobility. Something Koda and Hagakure lacked.
"Next is Ojiro, Yaoyorozu, Midoriya, Jiro, and Tokoyami…. hmm" Aizawa gave pause as he contemplated the situation with Yaoyorozu and Midoriya. He thought for a moment that he should remove one of them and put them in another group, to help them with their recent trauma. However, as he flicked his eyes upwards, he caught the two… holding hands. That gave him pause.
Perhaps this would actually help them.
"Yaoyorozu and Midoriya, you two are the heroes. Jiro, you're the hostage. Tokoyami and Ojiro, you're the villains. Now, moving on."
The last group was Bakugo, Kaminari, Iida, Kirishima, and Mina. With Bakugo as the hostage, Kaminari and Kirishima were the villains, and Mina and Iida the heroes. Bakugo wasn't particularly happy with being the hostage, but one glare from Aizawa calmed him down.
Aizawa sent the first group in while he took the others to the observation room.
Todoroki was moving to his group when he noticed that Yaoyorozu and Midoriya were holding hands. That was interesting. Were they an item? He moved in to investigate.
"Hello Midoriya, Yaoyorozu. I couldn't help but notice you two holding hands. Are you two involved with each other now?"
The two of them seemed caught by surprise and let go of each other's hands immediately.
"Oh! T-Todoroki! I didn't see you- um. No. No we're uh- That was just-"
"Yes."
Izuku was stopped mid stutter by Momo's declaration. What was she doing? Did she plan on telling everyone about their… arrangement?
"Oh, good. I'm going on a date this weekend with a girl from Shiketsu. I'd feel more comfortable if other people were there. Could you two join us? Make it a double date?"
Momo seemed surprised to hear that.
"A girl… from Shiketsu? When did you… I mean, what's her name?"
"Camie Utsushimi. She was the girl the league of villains impersonated, so she's had to take the remedial lessons with me and Bakugo since she didn't pass the license exam. She's a bit annoying, but my sister said I should accept just to get practice dating. Still, I'm not particularly excited to be alone with her."
"Oh. Well, we'd love to go with you, then. If it'll help." She said.
"Thanks. Well, guess I'll see you later."
And with that he was gone.
"Momo! What was that? Are we just going to tell everyone that we're… you know? Don't you want to keep this a secret in case we can… I mean if maybe at the end you don't- If you decide to be with someone better?"
"Better than you?"
"Well," he rubbed the back of his head. "Better for you, is how I would have phrased it."
"I don't really think that person exists."
Izuku was taken aback by those words. No one was better for her than him? Did she mean that?
Momo was a little embarrassed by the topic of conversation, and by being so easily spotted and the situation so easily deduced by the boy she formerly crushed on. But there were things she'd thought through and decided while she was left alone these past 3 days, and she wanted to tell Izuku. Since right now, he was the most important person to her.
She wasn't sure how or when, but she felt very intense emotions when it came to the cute green-headed boy. She hadn't agreed to be engaged to him just to please her father. She also, in her heart, felt kinship and love for him. As well as more shameful lusts. She couldn't blame Brain-Jacker for them anymore, since she was gone.
But she also knew how Ochaco felt, and couldn't, in her heart, steal the boy away from her. They had been forced to do things together before. But now, Momo felt that she had become closer to Ochaco too. Whether she liked it or not… she had found some spark of lust for the cute girl too. And the thought of her and Izuku together didn't inspire jealousy. It only inspired more lust.
Whatever Brain-Jacker had awakened within her was powerful and shameful. But, being Momo, she had sought a solution through study. And there were quite a lot of books on alternative lifestyles. Her father wouldn't have been pleased to hear his only daughter was in a polygamous, polyamorous, or open relationship. So, she didn't plan on being open with her decision. Not until she was graduated at least.
But right now, she had decided that she wanted Izuku. And she wanted Ochaco. And she wanted them to be with each other. She could still remember their time at the mall so vividly. The intensity of sensations, the beauty of Izuku's cock, the beauty of Ochaco's breasts. She had been scared by those thoughts before. Thinking she'd been altered by Brain-Jacker somehow. Perhaps she had been. But even with the villain gone, her mind played that day over and over not in horror, but delight.
"Izuku, I need to talk to you. Its about our engagement… and Ochaco."
Izuku avoided her eyes, his face downcast. He knew this conversation would come up eventually. She'd confessed her feelings to him. And he… he had been too much of a coward to do the same. She was the first girl he'd ever crushed on, but hadn't been the only one. Momo and Mina had joined her not too much later. Though Izuku wondered at the validity of those feelings. Did he only feel that way about Momo because of the sex they had been forced to have? Did he only feel that way about Mina because of the incident in the gym? He didn't know. He had never felt anything like these emotions before.
They made it to the observation room and the two teens slipped over to the corner out of sight of the others.
"What do you want to talk about?"
"Ochaco loves you. I haven't forgotten her confession. Have you?"
"N-No! Of course not!"
"Do you feel the same way about her?"
Izuku swallowed, nervous. Not sure where this conversation was heading. He let his eyes wonder to the monitor that the other students were watching, the first group in the midst of their trial.
"I-I don't know."
Momo looked puzzled.
"You don't know?"
"I- I'm confused. She's the first girl I've ever had a crush on… but that was before all of… this. And, I don't know if my new feelings are real, or just… something left over from what we were doing. I feel, I feel something for you too. And even Mina. I don't- I don't really know if its love. Its- well, it's probably not. Love would be… purer. I think. I don't know. I've never really- I don't know! But you can't love more than one person, right? So- I mean I already- I care about you Momo. I do. I wouldn't have said yes to your father otherwise. I just-"
She smiled a bit then, understanding exactly how Izuku felt. She'd felt the same. Though she had been able to sort through the feelings. She softly embraced him, smiling. He really was a great guy. She didn't know if their engagement would be seen to the end. But she didn't feel like it would be such a bad thing if it did.
"I understand. I felt the same way at first. But I think it is love. Or it can be, if we let it. My father doesn't think love is just a feeling. But the way you act with someone. A conscious choice, at least half the time. And… I do love you Izuku. I really do. Its- I know it started off strangely. But I feel like you're the most special man I could have in my life. But I would feel guilty if I deprived you and Ochaco of that feeling."
Izuku's heart was more twisted now than it had ever been. But it was a lot more of a pleasant twisting than what it had been. He had two girls now who had confessed love to him. Two of the most amazing, most beautiful girls not just in his class, or Japan, but in the world. His face was burning scarlet and he couldn't look Momo in the eye.
"So… what are you saying?"
She held his hand again, and brought it up close between them.
"I want you to date Ochaco too. I want you two to know that, I think you two are wonderful together. And if she's okay with it… I don't mind sharing you with her. Like-like we did before."
"S-SHARE!?"
She clamped a hand over his mouth to keep the others from hearing. She glanced over and saw that while a few of the girls were looking their way, namely Mina and Ochaco, all of the boys had their eyes on the screen, which Momo briefly noted was on the second team already. Meaning she and Izuku would be up soon.
She looked back at Izuku, and with a face as red as his, explained.
"I don't know why, but when we were…forced to do things together." She looked away, unable to look Izuku in the eye as she confessed her feelings. "I didn't feel disgust. I felt… excited. To see you two together. I know its messed up! But I can't help it. I don't think I'd feel the same about you and other girls, so please don't misunderstand. I don't want you to cheat on me. But if its Ochaco… it just doesn't feel like cheating."
The two of them were silent for a few moments. Izuku broke the silence hesitatingly.
"So, have you talked to Ochaco about this?"
"N-no, not yet."
"When should we, uh- when should I, or- how do you want to… tell her all of this?"
"Sometime soon. Not now, though. But, later. In private. We can't be open with this. I don't think… I don't think anyone else would understand."
Izuku glumly hung his head, agreeing silently.
"Yeah. Not just personally. But, professionally too. Heroes need to be above scandals. And this would probably count as a big one… but…" he looked up at her with a smile, though his face was still as red with embarrassment as ever. "I'm kind of… glad, you feel that way."
She smiled with him and nodded her head, her face matching his in its scarlet embarrassment.
Meanwhile, Jiro's face was just as scarlet. She had overheard the entire conversation with the help of her quirk. She hadn't meant to eavesdrop. Not really. But it was impossible not to notice the two sneaking off to talk. Or at least, she thought so. The boys didn't even seem to notice! The girls were the only ones who spared glances at the two at the back of the room. Though maybe that was because the girls had the advantage of knowing what had transpired between the two teens. She didn't know how to feel about what she had heard.
How could Yao-Momo talk about something like that?! Ochaco excited her?! Like… sexually? Her face burned red as she involuntarily imagined her two friends having lesbian sex with each other. She quickly shook her head to escape those intrusive thoughts.
They hadn't had counseling yet, and Jiro was certain that this was a big reason why Yao-Momo was acting the way she was. She was just confused and re-creating her abuse. That's what she'd read about when she looked up what happened to victims of sexual assault. That had to be it right? This was some result of some terrible trauma! There was no way that Yao-Momo wanted to share her… boyfriend? Was Midoriya her boyfriend? They had mentioned an engagement? What did that mean? Wait, Izuku had mentioned her father asking something… wait. No! That couldn't be it, could it? Yao-Momo's father was old-fashioned though…
Was Midoriya… Yao-Momo's fiancé?!
Jiro's face was scarlet as Aizawa called on their group to begin.
She was unable to look at Yao-Momo or Midoriya as Aizawa separated the villains and heroes and told them each where their secret "base" or "safe house" was. Jiro was set aside, because as the hostage, she wasn't allowed to know either location.
Ojiro and Tokoyami came by her when they were released.
"You Ready Jiro?" Ojiro asked, with an oblivious smile on his face.
She quickly composed herself, coughing into her hand.
"Y-Yeah. Whatever."
"Dark Shadow!"
Jiro was taken aback as Tokoyami's Dark Shadow burst out of him and grabbed her from behind, squeezing her in a powerful bear hug, as she was swept up off of her feet.
"H-Hey! What's the big deal Tokoyami?!"
"Apologies, but since you're allowed to try and escape, its only logical that we restrain you. And this felt the most secure option."
"Well, you could have warned me!"
"Apologies. My thoughts were darkened by the possibilities of failure."
"Sorry, Jiro! But we plan on winning!" Ojiro said as he clenched his fist in the air.
They were interrupted by Aizawa who told the three to head out. They had a 3 minute head start.
Jiro wasn't able to forget the conversation she'd overheard, and even though Dark Shadow's unstable way of carrying her was making her dizzy, her mind just wasn't on the task at hand. Though it wasn't like she could have done much anyway. She wasn't allowed to use her quirk to escape after all. No, Instead, her mind was filled with lurid fantasies that were making her uncomfortably intrigued.
If Brain-Jacker hadn't been stopped, would she have been chosen? Would she have been forced to do things with not just Midoriya, but Yao-Momo and Uraraka too? She shook her head. What her friends went through was horrible, and it had messed them up. It wasn't something to fantasize about. It wasn't some harmless daydream. She needed to get her head out of the gutter and think like a rational human being!
Yao-Momo went through a lot of trauma, and what she said was the result of that. As for Midoriya… well he was a guy, so of course he'd be fine with having multiple girls. She shook her head again. That wasn't fair to Midoriya. He was a victim too. He'd been tormented just as much, and he was probably acting out some weird psychological trauma too. Probably.
She kept herself from shaking her head because the bobbing of Dark Shadow was making her nauseous.
Tokoyami noticed her face turning green.
"Do not shower me in the remnants of your breakfast!"
"Then stop waving me around everywhere!"
Ojiro smiled as he looked back at his companion.
"Alright, three minutes is almost up! They'll be coming, soon. You remember the plan, Tokoyami?"
"I do."
"Alright then, we don't have much further to go before we reach our base. So, when they get here-"
Ojiro was cut off as a dozen small metal spheres landed around them. All three of them were caught off-guard as blinding light erupted from each of them. Flash Grenades.
Ojiro and Jiro were blinded, but Dark Shadow was shrunk to a puny little shape from the powerful lights. As a result, Jiro was let go and fell… right into the waiting arms of Izuku Midoriya, a wide grin on his face.
"I've got you, Jiro! Don't worry!"
"I wasn't worried, you dork!" She said, still unable to open her eyes without seeing spots.
Her attitude didn't dissuade him, however.
"I know that! But it felt like the right thing for a hero to say, you know? Now come on! Let's get going before they recover."
His body crackled with green lightning as he sped away, holding Jiro bridal-style. He placed two fingers on his earpiece, a piece of equipment that Jiro hadn't noticed before.
"Alright, Momo, the flash-bangs worked great! Can you see if they've recovered yet?"
Jiro heard Yao-Momo speaking from the earpiece.
"Yes, I have a visual. They've split up, and they seem to know where you are. Ojiro is moving to cut you off, and Tokoyami is using Dark Shadow to slingshot his way to you. He'll be there in just a few seconds."
"Copy that."
"Wow, Midoriya. You two are really on the ball, huh?"
"Well, we had a whole three minutes to prepare a plan. It seemed a little unfair to be honest."
"They had a three minute head-start, So I'd say you're even. So where's Yao-Momo?"
"She's on one of the buildings with a sniper rifle. Not to worry though, they're rubber bullets. But we both agreed that with my speed, it'd be better to let me catch up to them solo. She'll be supporting us from up high."
"NOT SO FAST!"
True to Momo's word, Dark Shadow had been used to fling Tokoyami towards Deku with incredible force. He practically flew through the air before landing with a solid thump as he landed. He immediately began using Dark Shadow to swing alongside the buildings not unlike Sero with his tape. Tokoyami sent Dark Shadow to go attack Midoriya, but he was more than prepared. He zipped and zagged in impossible to predict patterns, jumping off the buildings and bouncing around much like his mentor Gran Tarino.
Dark Shadow was growing angry, swiping with more and more ferocity. But he wasn't able to keep up with Deku's speed. Not in the daylight anyway.
Jiro was surprised to see this side of Midoriya up close. He was a completely different person when in action. Confident, assured, a look of determination on his face. Like he was in his element. This was the Midoriya that had saved her. That had saved Yao-Momo. For a brief moment, she saw what Yao-Momo and what Uraraka must have seen.
Deku was blindsided as Ojiro dropped down from above, his tail wrapping around Deku's head and his arms taking Jiro. With a practiced summersault, Ojiro sent Deku flying to the ground as he stole Jiro right out of his hands.
"Good job distracting him Tokoyami! Now let's-"
Ojiro was cut off as Jiro decked him in the face.
He dropped her by reflex and tended his swollen cheek.
"Ow! C'mon, Jiro! What the heck?!"
"I'm still allowed to try and escape you know. I just can't use my quirk."
With that she sprinted off towards Midoriya. He smiled at her and gestured for her to jump on to his back.
"We'll be faster if I carry you."
Jiro, however, didn't particularly like the idea of straddling Deku's back. So, with a dismissive gesture and a blush she dismissed the offer. "Yeah, well, I feel more comfortable running."
Deku seemed a bit confused but didn't let that slow him down as he began running with Jiro.
"O-Okay, then. Well, just stay close to me then, we'll get to the safe house soon."
"DARK MAW!"
Neither of them were prepared as Dark Shadow shot forward, grew to a large size, and SWALLOWED Jiro.
"J-Jiro!"
"How do you like my new super move, Midoriya?"
"It's- It's really scary! Is she okay?"
"She's fine… but she's also coming with me!"
Izuku was impressed at Tokoyami's ability to play a villain. He was rather convincing.
Dark Shadow was much larger than Izuku had ever seen him in the daylight. Though not as large and ferocious as he could be in the night. No doubt that was due to extensive training by Tokoyami. Izuku couldn't help but be impressed. Though he had little time to admire his classmate. He needed to rescue Jiro. With fierce determination, he crouched into a fighting stance ready to pounce.
But he was stopped by the fateful arrival of Ojiro, who matched him with a fighting stance of his own.
"You go on ahead, Tokoyami! I'll keep him busy."
"You'll try."
"Oho! Midoriya, didn't know you had that kind of fight in you…. But it won't be enough." Ojiro said, smirk on his face.
Tokoyami took the opportunity to flee. This time, he used Dark Shadow to scale one of the nearby buildings, heading upwards.
In a flash Izuku jumped after him, but he was stopped by Ojiro's tail wrapping around his leg and pulling him back. Ojiro didn't have a strength-enhancing quirk, but he did have knowledge of several martial arts, and was able to get Midoriya into an arm-bar, stopping the green-haired boy in his tracks.
"Midoriya! What do you want me to do?!" Momo asked from his earpiece. From her vantage point, she could see he was having trouble, and Tokoyami was gaining ground. He was already atop the building and darting away.
"Just watch for an opening and incapacitate Ojiro. I'll make one soon. Then- herk! Ow! That hurts!"
"Stop struggling so much, it'll hurt less." Ojiro taunted.
"Alright! You asked for it! Momo! Now!"
Izuku had been holding back on One for All, keeping his limit to a nice and safe 5%. But with a quick jump to 20% he easily manhandled Ojiro and got him into a headlock of his own. Izuku forcibly turned him towards a particular building. With a thunderous boom, the two heard a gunshot, and just a few milliseconds after, Ojiro was hit square in the stomach with a rubber bullet.
Immediately the fight went out of him, and he fell to the ground limp, the breath knocked out of him. He managed to croak out a single sentence.
"W-Why? Why would you do that?"
Izuku rubbed the back of his head in a bit of shame.
"S-Sorry Ojiro."
But the shame didn't keep him busy for long. Tokoyami had gotten a huge lead, and Izuku was going to close it. Quick. He focused for a second and crouched down, eyes locked on to the sky. With a burst of green lighting, he shot up towards the nearest skyscraper and just barely got on top of it. He couldn't keep himself from laughing a bit to himself. With 20% of One for All unlocked, he had the power to leap tall buildings in a single bound! Without breaking his legs!
"Izuku! He's getting really far! Please don't let Jiro down! He's already out of my range. I'm going to try and circle ahead of you guys, ok?"
He was snapped back to reality by Momo's voice.
"Right! I'll save her! Don't worry!"
"I have complete faith in you!"
Izuku couldn't help but blush at the praise. Flattered by her faith in him. And not wanting to disappoint her, he turned his eyes towards the quickly shrinking frame of Tokoyami in the distance.
"Here I come! Jiro! One for All Full-Cowling, 25%!"
It was the most he'd ever used. He hoped it wouldn't hurt too much, but it did hurt. A mild needling sensation all over his body. He wouldn't be able to keep it up for long. With a thunderous boom, he shot forth like a cannonball, a bright green flash in his wake.
Tokoyami didn't know what hit him.
In just three seconds, Deku was on top of him, a double kick to his back sending him to the rooftop below. He tumbled a bit before regaining himself and standing up with what felt like a badly bruising torso. Dark Shadow seemed to have felt the blow too, holding its stomach with a queasy look on his face. With a heave, Dark Shadow vomited Jiro up out of his mouth, who seemed both horrified and relieved all at once.
She stood up, covered in drool and irate.
"Oh my god, Tokoyami! Don't you ever do that again! Ugh, that was the freakiest experience of my- that was the second freakiest experience of my life."
Izuku raced towards Jiro, ready to escort her safely away.
"Not so fast!"
Tokoyami once more proved how he had earned his place as the 3rd place champion of the Sports Festival. Already recovered, he sent Dark Shadow to swipe at Izuku with everything he had. Izuku found that he was able to dodge extremely well, ducking and weaving with a grace that escaped the boy during social interactions. Green lightning flashed along his body as he narrowly dodged Dark Shadow's claws.
Jiro found herself entranced.
She had never really seen Midoriya in action before. Sure, bits and pieces, here and there. And that time he had rushed all the girls with a look of murder on his face. But this was something different. She'd never seen the boy so composed and determined.
She backed up a bit, so as not to get in the way of the fight.
But she had forgotten where she was. Her foot slipped, and she found herself slipping on the drool that had pooled at her feet.
She began to fall over the edge, head first.
Luckily, Izuku had been paying attention, and disengaged with Tokoyami quickly and flew towards her, hand outstretched.
Tokoyami, not knowing what was going on, turned to grab him, but was hit in the stomach by a rubber bullet. The breath and fight were knocked out of him, and he fell to the floor of the roof clutching his stomach.
Izuku grit his teeth.
"I've got you Jiro! Hang on!"
Everything happened at once, an instant. Yet at the same time, both Izuku and Jiro felt that everything happened in slow motion. Izuku made it to Jiro in time to grab both of her legs and yanked hard to pull her up. Sadly, the jerking motion, and the force with which he pulled only succeeded in pulling the pants off the poor girl.
So, what ended up happening was Jiro dangling from the side of the building, her pants caught between her ankles, with Izuku holding on. And he was forced to see Jiro's surprisingly lacey and girly purple panties. His face burned red and he averted his eyes
"H-Hey! Midoriya! W-w-what are you doing?! You pervert! Pull me up already!"
"S-Sorry! I-I didn't mean-!"
"J-just pull me up already!" Jiro screamed, doing her best to cover her panties by pulling her shirt over it.
Izuku grit his teeth and heaved, bringing Jiro up over the edge, and back to the safety of the roof. He had to reach forward and grab at her waist as she came up, which made the situation worse. Jiro immediately pushed Midoriya away and pulled her pants up before turning away and crossing her arms, face red with embarrassment.
"Jiro… I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean…"
"W-whatever, let's just go to the safe house. I'LL WALK."
Midoriya couldn't help but agree with that. Carrying her after that might convey the wrong idea.
They walked past Tokoyami who was still writing in pain from the impact of the rubber bullet. And as they entered the building to walk down (Jiro made it very clear that she didn't want Midoriya to help her down) Midoriya heard Momo's side of events.
"Good job with that catch Midoriya! You did great."
"Ah. Well, Jiro might disagree with that."
"That was…unfortunate. But surely she's not too upset with you?"
"S-She's pretty mad."
"…Do you want me to talk to her? Maybe I can vouch for you. She knows you didn't do it on purpose."
"Hmm. Maybe later. I think we ought to just her cool off for now."
The exercise was complete not long after, with the Heroes winning, and Tokoyami and Ojiro being sent to Recovery Girl for their rapidly bruising stomachs.
The reception they received at the viewing platform was mixed.
"Alright Midoriya! That was a most excellent demonstration! And you too Yaoyorozu! Excellent marksmanship!" Iida said.
"Yeah, man! Yaoyorozu was so cool, being a sniper! That was awesome!" Kaminari said.
"Heh, Nice panties Jiro." Mineta pointed and laughed at Jiro
Her face was burning and her body trembling with embarrassment. She poked her earphone jacks into Mineta's ears and his pain somewhat dulled the humiliation.
Yaoyorozu and Midoriya made to approach Jiro, but were stopped by Mr. Aizawa.
"Good teamwork out there today. Making use of your individual skills. Although in the future, Midoriya, don't jerk back when grabbing someone whose falling off a building. It can cause whiplash and hurt the neck. You want to soften the momentum. Oh, and Jiro."
"Y-yes, Mr. Aizawa?"
"You might want to start wearing a belt."
Jiro's face was as red as a tomato, and she scurried off to the corner so no one could see. Meanwhile, the last group formed up and left to complete their training session.
Mina was a mess.
More so than she usually was.
The girls changing room was unnaturally silent. It was the end of the day and no one wanted to chat or visit. Each girl was lost in their own thoughts, and wasn't willing to share those thoughts with the others. Mina and Hagakure were the most noticeably absent since they were the ones that liked to talk the most.
No one had commented on Mina's melancholy mood. Though maybe that was because the girls were all feeling a little strange, and the boys weren't the most perceptive bunch. Well… one boy had an alibi.
She honestly couldn't wait until the counseling started, because she didn't know what to make of her feelings. She had just started dating Midoriya, just started liking him! And then she had found out that he had been blackmailed into asking her out… and raped multiple times for weeks. And she had almost had it happen to her. Two of her friends had had it happen! What was she supposed to do? It was over… but she was now stuck with so many emotions that she couldn't make heads or tails of them.
She liked Midori. But did she like him enough to date him? She had thought so before, but maybe that would be inappropriate. He was blackmailed into dating her anyway, so he probably didn't even feel the same way. And he had been forced to have sex with two of the prettiest girls in the school…
She shook her head, that wasn't a good thing! It wasn't something to be jealous of! It was a horrible thing! And she was so grateful to the teachers, to Shinso, and to Midori for saving her from that fate!
She would lose her virginity to a special boy she would choose! Not some creepy villain. Even though, technically, it was Midori that Momo and Ochaco lost their virginities to…
She shook her head. This was not something she wanted to think about.
She decided that she should just… let the whole thing go and pretend like nothing ever happened. She should just focus on being a good hero. That would be for the best. She headed over to the gym to finish off her day before heading back to the dorm. Maybe if her body was tired, her mind would stop flooding her with so many thoughts.
She entered the gym and found herself face to face with the one person who did the very opposite of cleanse her mind. Izuku Midoriya was there, benching a very impressive amount of weight. She thought briefly of just leaving. But after only a few moments, she steeled herself. Bottling up everything wasn't going to make anything better.
"Hey, Midori."
He flinched for just a second, and racked his weight, sitting up with wide eyes as he breathed heavily, face drenched in sweat.
"O-Oh! Mina! I- I'm sorry. Do you need to um… do you need the bench?"
She just quirked an eyebrow and placed her hands on her hips.
Izuku gave up on playing dumb instantly.
"We- we never really talked after all the stuff happened huh?"
Mina was silent for a while, but eventually, she relaxed a bit and began speaking.
"Nope. So… I'll go first. Ok?"
"Ah…o-ok."
She let out a sigh to calm herself. This wasn't as awkward as she'd feared, but it was still emotionally draining.
"First, I want to say… thank you. Thank you for not giving up, and for saving me before anything could happen. I know- I know that, not everyone… I know- I know that Momo and Ochaco and you did stuff! But, I mean, you still saved them too! So-So-so…"
Mina couldn't continue. He eyes were watering, and she felt racked with sobs that she was having trouble fighting.
"Mina?"
"N-not now, I'm just… give me a minute."
She slid down to the floor, holding herself and trying to recover her composure. Izuku, not one to ignore anyone in emotional distress, came over to her. Crying girls made him nervous, but even despite that, his body recognized that someone was in trouble. And just like all the other times he'd found someone in trouble, his body moved on its own.
He embraced her, not able or knowing what to say, but just holding her. Mina didn't attempt to break away, instead leaning into him. Through her sobs, she began to choke out some words.
"Midori, was it all fake? Were you just forced to go on a date with me?"
"N-No! Its- it wasn't fake! I mean, I was forced to- to ask you out… but I don't regret it! It was one of the only good things to come out of this whole thing."
She buried her head into Izuku's chest, tears flowing freely.
"So, you were forced to date me…"
"Y-Yes, but- but that doesn't matter! I really- I had a lot of- it was…" Izuku trailed off, wanting to comfort Mina, but at the same time confused about his own feelings.
He liked Momo. He liked Ochaco. Momo's words about…sharing him, were fresh on his mind. But he also remembered that she had said that she was only okay with Ochaco… and he was engaged to her. So, what should he do? Could he date Mina too? No… no that wouldn't be fair. It would be like giving her hope that they might become something that he knew they couldn't be.
"I… like you Mina. I like you a lot."
Mina stopped her crying for a moment, and looked up at Izuku with large wet eyes that made his heart leap to his throat.
"…but I can't date you. I'm engaged to Momo."
There was silence for a few moments.
"What?"
Mina's sadness was slowly replaced by confusion as she wiped the tears from her face.
"I- You know how Momo and I- h-h-had, th-th-that we-"
"Had sex?"
Izuku blushed at the bluntness.
"Y-yeah. Well, Momo's dad is really old fashioned. And- well he wasn't mad, but he- he asked me to enter into an engagement with Momo… so she's- Well she's technically my fiancé now, I guess…"
Mina was silent as she processed the information. Izuku was beginning to feel a little uncomfortable, since Mina was still leaning into him, and holding on to him.
"That's stupid!"
"W-what?"
"That's stupid Midori! How he could he do that to you two?! You guys were raped! You were forced to do that! That's horrible! What kind of father would even ask that? What's Yao-Momo even think about this?!"
"I mean… the way he said it… I didn't mean to do anything, but I did… take her virginity. And that's a big deal isn't it? I had to take responsibility…"
"And what about poor Ochaco?! She-she really liked you too! I felt guilty for even dating you! I can't imagine how guilty Yao-Momo is feeling! We all knew it! And you took her virginity, too didn't you? How does she feel about this?!"
Izuku decided not to point out that Mina wanted to date him anyway, but he was becoming uncomfortable. He didn't want to reveal too much about what was going on, but he was a terrible liar.
"I- we came to an understanding… Momo and me. We talked about it."
"And what does that mean?! Midori, this is crazy! You're 16! You can't get married!"
"It's- Well it's not unheard of! I mean, we might not get married. We're only engaged right now, and my mom hasn't agreed to it yet… But I just thought you deserved to know. I like you! I do! But I'm just- I'm so confused right now! I'm trying to do the right thing, but I don't even know what that is anymore! I don't know anything! And I'm just so confused!"
It was Izuku's turn to start crying then, and the roles reversed, with Mina holding Izuku, and rubbing his back as he did his best to hold in his own tears. He didn't want to cry, he didn't want to be weak. He was supposed to be comforting Mina! But finally, the situation was bearing down on him, and he broke.
The two of them held each other for a few minutes more, Izuku eventually running dry of tears, and Mina finding just as much comfort from the embrace, her own tears drying. But even after the two had their emotions back under control, they kept embracing. It was the only thing that felt right to them.
After a few minutes, Mina let out a sigh.
"We really need counseling."
"Y-yeah."
"I think it starts tomorrow."
"I heard we're having one on one and group sessions. I'm a little nervous. Miss Midnight just doesn't seem like the most appropriate person to council kids on… s-sexual trauma."
Mina giggled a bit to herself. Izuku's stuttering always seemed cute to her. She thought others might find it annoying, but to her, it was endearing. Especially since even after everything that had happened, he still seemed so bashful when it came to erotic things.
"I think she'll do fine. If anyone knows anything about that kind of stuff, its her! And besides, I'm sure she's qualified. They wouldn't just send us to someone who was making it up as they went."
Izuku wasn't too sure about that himself.
The two stayed like that for a while, not really talking or moving. In the end, Mina didn't get her workout, too emotionally exhausted. Izuku escorted her back to the dorms and they parted ways with a hug, though both were still confused at what it might convey.
