The Elf Express

Welcome to all new and returning students to the 1st edition of the Hogwarts Newsletter 'The Elf Express'.
Written by students for students. We here at the Elf Express will do our upmost duty to inform you of the going on not only in the school but what we the public are not being told outside of Hogwarts on what we need to know to make informed decisions about our own futures.
So I RavenMaiden and Oliver Twist here by start this school year with its 1st issue of 'The Elf Express'
There has been many things in our never-ending list of topics to talk about and after a long trip on the Hogwarts Express and a lovely delicious meal put on by the Hogwarts House Elves for tonight we will keep it short-ish and as light as possible as students ourselves we all know that with tomorrow comes our 1st day of classes for the school year and with a new school year we can bring up our first topic our next Defence the Dark Arts Professor will they be another Quirrell or another Lockhart or perhaps along the same line as Lupin or better who know how ourLemon Drop addict of a Headmaster decides I guess only time will tell and we will have more in our next issue next week.
Our next topic we fear we must declare a fair warning as to the delicate nature of this topic as it can relate to a few students currently at this school and also past students also it is a serious matter long ongoing problem that the adults around us
A) Does not really care about their students.
B) Refuse to believe that abuse is happening to their students at home or here in this very school.
C) They know but don't care enough to do anything about it.
D) They know bout are blocked from doing anything to help these students.
or finally
E) Are the abusers themselves.
There are three forms of abuse physical, mental and emotional all devastating in their own ways and all have there own tells from someone who has/is suffering from either/and/or all of them.
So what can we as students do to help you may wonder or you may think why should I even care it's not my problem it doesn't effect me.
We can tell you why and how you talk to someone and how you act towards someone could just be the tipping point between life and death do you want to be the final cause for someone to take their own life or do you want to be the one who talks them off that ledge.
Bulling is rampant in this school whether it's the blood in our veins, the colour of our skin, our orientation or our very own heritage and beliefs .
If you think about it what unites us all together especially here at Hogwarts? What is the key to receiving that ivory envelope of acceptance into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? What flows through our bodies that keeps us alive? What are we as a species? We are all the same, We all have magic here the blood in our veins that gives us life still needs red and the most important fact we are human. It is our very own actions that as we grow up defines who we are as adults.
So with this parting message it doesn't matter what House you are in how far your family goes back or even who your parents are treat others with kindness and respect and it will be given back to you. Get to know a person before judging them after all there wouldn't be a Hogwarts without its students .
