Chapter 1

I Met Her In A Dream Somewhere

Inside a large building, a young girl dressed in what appeared to be a school uniform was now racing through the corridors of a large building. It was filled with checkered patterns, and all other strange items that could be used for different things. On her feet were a pair of brown loafer shoes, that were over a pair of white thigh-high stockings. Her hair was a bright pink tied in two pigtails on either side by red hair ribbons, and her eyes were a bright pink. She soon arrived at what looked to be three different staircases, and slowly began climbing up the one on her left. She soon came to a door, which she opened to an eerie sight. There was a small cog beneath an even large cogwheel, beneath a blue dress worn by a strange woman. She quickly raced out and saw the street lamps flashing red. Below was another young girl with dark colored hair, dressed in what appeared to be a white blouse with a dark violet skirt below, a shield on her left arm, a pair of diamond patterned stockings, and black high heeled shoes. She watched as the other girl lunged at the strange being, only to see one of the sky scrapers flying towards her, which nearly crushed her, but she quickly teleported out of the way, and began using a powerful energy shield to protect herself from a barrage of flames.

"That's horrible!" the girl cried out in shock.

"You can't help it. One person can't handle this alone. But she knew that, and came here anyway," a white cat-like creature replied.

The other girl was sent flying into a large bit of debris, as the pink-haired girl and the creature watched from below.

"No! This isn't right! It's too much for her!" she protested, inadvertently drawing her attention towards her.

"If she gives up, it's over," the creature stated coldly.

This made the young girl worried.

"But, you have the power to change this destiny," it said.

This both surprised and shocked her even further.

"All this tragedy, all this destruction, you can change it, if you want. The power to do so, lies in you," continued the cat-like being.

"I… can change it?" asked the girl.

But from above, she thought that she heard the other girl with dark hair crying out in fear as she fell.

"Even someone like me, can do something like that to help? Can I really change how this ends?" she questioned.

"Of course you can. Just make a contract with me, and become a magical girl," replied the cat.

The girl nodded slowly, then her eyes filled with determination.

"That is your ultimate destiny," another voice said from behind her.

But she suddenly awoke from what appeared to be a strange nightmare, and slowly stood up, clinging to her stuffed bunny.

"That was a crazy dream," she sighed.

Inside her home, Madoka Kaname's father, Tomohisa Kaname was cutting tomatoes off a tomato plant in the greenhouse.

"Good morning, Dad," she said when she got out of bed.

"Oh, good morning, Madoka," replied her father.

"Mom up yet?" Madoka asked.

"Tatsuya's waking her up. He might need some help though," replied Mr. Kaname.

Madoka nodded, and soon raced off, just as her father gave her a kind smile.

"Mama! Mama! Wake up! Wake up! Come on, Mama! Mama! Mama!" called Tatsuya Kaname, Madoka's brother, just as his sister arrived, her eyes brimming with a fierce determination.

She opened the curtains, then grabbed the covers.

"Rise and shine!" she said, pulling them off.

Junko Kaname cried out in shock, and she flailed about, only to realize that it was her son and daughter that had come to wake her up.

"Mama woke up. Yay!" chhered Tatsuya.

A short while later, before breakfast, both mother and daughter were now in the washroom, brushing their teeth.

"What's happening in your world?" asked Junko.

"Well, Hitomi got another love letter. That's the second one this month," replied Madoka.

"If he can't say it to her face, then he's not worth it," quipped her mother.

They soon rinsed their mouths and spat out the toothpaste. Then they placed their toothbrushes back in the holder.

"How's Kazuko doing?" she asked.

"I think her new boyfriend's working out. She can't seem to talk about anything else during homeroom. This makes it their three month anniversary, so I guess it's a new record," said her daughter.

"Well, I hope they can make it. They're at a critical stage in their relationship," replied Junko, as she used a hair dryer on her hair, just as Madoka washed her face.

"They are?" asked Madoka, as she reached for the towel, which her mother slowly passed towards her.

"If it's not the real thing, this is usually when it starts to fall apart. But if they made it this far, they should be okay for another year," said her mother, as she put on her makeup.

Madoka had to agree, just as her mother closed the makeup kit, and praised herself on her appearance, while she was unsure about which ribbon would be perfect for her hair, until Junko pointed to the red ribbon.

"You sure? Don't you think it looks too flashy?" questioned her daughter.

"There's no such thing as too flashy, Hun. A woman can't afford to get teased because she's sloppy," assured Junko.

So Madoka put on the hair ribbons and soon got dressed in the rest of her uniform, with her mother looking proudly at her.

"Perfect. You're secret admirers are gonna get all wobbly in the knees," she said.

"I don't have secret admirers," Madoka countered gently.

"But you should dress and behave like you do. That's a secret every girl should know," replied her mother.

Madoka nodded slowly, but a small smile formed on her lips, as she knew that her mother was sometimes right in her judgment. At breakfast, Tatsuya was just eating the tomatoes, when one of them nearly fell onto the floor. Thankfully, Junko saved it just in time.

"Yay! Safe! Now be good, and eat it all up, okay," said his mother.

"Okay," replied Tatsuya.

"Hey honey, some more coffee?" asked Tomohisa.

Junko looked up at the clock, and shook her head at him.

"I'd better not," she said.

She drank the last of it from her cup, then stood up. First she kissed her son, then her husband, but she gave her daughter a high five, and walked towards the front door.

"All right, I'm off to work everyone," she said.

Madoka, Tatsuya, and their father all bade her goodbye and wished her well.

"Hey, you're gonna be late if you don't hurry," he said to his daughter.

Madoka was surprised, but she quickly picked up a piece of toast and raced out the door as well, with both her brother and father wishing her a good day. Content with herself, Madoka raced down the street after she finished her toast. Up ahead were two other girls who wore the same uniform as she did, but they had different colored socks on their person. One had lime green hair and green eyes, but the other had blue hair and blue eyes.

"Good morning, guys," she greeted them.

"Good morning," replied her friend, Hitomi Shizuki.

"What took you so long, Madoka?" quipped Sayaka Miki.

But her mood suddenly changed.

"Look at you with your cute hair ribbons," she said.

"You think so? They're not too flashy?" Madoka asked.

"I think they look lovely," replied Hitomi.

"I agree," came a voice from behind, which surprised the three girls.

"What the goodness!?" gasped Madoka.

They soon turned to see that it was Sora, who was with six other people at his side. Each of them was dressed in a different outfit that seemed to suit their personalities.

"Hey there," Sayaka greeted them.

"Hiya. I'm Sora," Sora replied.

"Hey there, my name's Kirito," added Kirito.

"I'm Yang," said Yang.

"My name is Yui," chimed Yui.

"I'm Leafa. Nice to meet you," smiled Leafa.

"My name's Asuna," added Asuna.

"And I'm Ruby," finished Ruby.

"I'm Hitomi Shizuki. This is Sayaka Miki and Madoka Kaname," Hitomi said.

"Nice to meet you, guys," Madoka added shyly.

"Aw, don't tell me, you're being all shy because of this guy with brown spiky hair, aren't you, Madoka?" grinned Sayaka.

"Sayaka, please don't tease her," sighed Hitomi.

"Okay, okay, I'll stay off of Madoka's case, Hitomi. Sheesh. But, I am a bit curious to see that Sora's a little bit different from some of the other guys, even with those strange clothes of his," she observed.

"No, no. It's okay, everyone. I just didn't expect to hear Sora's voice from behind me," said Madoka.

"Right. Sorry for scaring you, Madoka," replied Sora.

But Madoka gently shook her head towards him.

"Don't be, but maybe you can follow us for now," she assured him.

"Fine with us, Madoka," replied Kirito.

"Yeah, let's go," agreed Ruby.

They soon set off down the path before them, but Madoka decided to break the silence.

"My mom said that if a boy can't say you love them to your face, he's not worth time," she said.

"Your mom is way cool, Madoka. I mean she's smart, gorgeous and successful," replied Sayaka.

"If only I could make up my mind, as easily as that," said Hitomi, when she stopped and faced them.

"Don't feel bad, Hitomi. I'm sure there are plenty of guys in the city, no matter their upbringing, who'd like to be with you," assured Sora.

"Yep, but please don't judge Sora for the number of girls he's met. He's a good guy, and he'd never think of hurting their feelings," agreed Yang.

"To be honest, I was a fool in thinking that I could have a chance with my own cousin, who treated me like a little sister to him. I started to hate him, but I realized that hatred would only create even greater darkness that could destroy my heart, until I saw how much Sora reminded me of him. It brought back a lot of those painful memories, but he taught me how I should never even think of letting my feelings be clouded by darkness. It pretty much happened after we visited a world called Agrabah, where we helped a guy named Aladdin defeat an evil wizard called Jafar, who was helping some crazy guy named Dice, all so that they could have Sonja and Jasmine all to themselves," explained Leafa.

"No way," murmured Sayaka.

"I agree with Hitomi, guys. I wish someone would send me a love letter sometime, it'd be nice to get one," said Madoka.

"Ah, now I get it. You want to be as beautiful and popular as Hitomi, don't you? I bet you went to wear those ribbons just to change your image," smirked her friend.

"Uh oh," Sora said to his friends.

"Pardon the interruption, ladies, but I think the ribbons that Madoka's wearing actually suit her perfectly," interjected Yui.

"Yui makes a fair point, guys. Besides, I'm more than willing to agree with Madoka's mother on this one, as well as trust in something called a person's judgment," agreed Kirito.

Madoka gave off a bit of a quiet giggle, then turned to face Kirito.

"Thanks, Kirito. But, I do have one question to ask. What exactly is it that you see in me?" she asked.

"I'll tell you, but only if you promise not to laugh, okay?" he sighed.

"I promise I won't," replied Madoka.

Then Kirito turned slowly away from her, with his hand on his face.

"Alright, it's because you remind me of my little sister," Kirito said.

Unfortunately, Madoka couldn't contain her laughter, causing Kirito to turn away sharply.

"I'm sorry," she said quickly.

"You don't have to apologize, Madoka," assured Sayaka.

"Yeah, Sayaka's right. But, aren't you guys going to be late for school?" Sora asked quickly.

"OH CRAP!" they cried, and they raced off as fast as they're legs would carry them.

But Team SKYYLAR quietly followed after them, and decided to take a careful look around the school for a while, until they came to a classroom where the homeroom teacher, Kazuko Saotome asked about eggs being fried sunny side up or down, until she turned sharply towards Akazowa for an answer.

"You can fry it either way, can't you?" he said.

"Yes, precisely, you can fry it either way. That being said, you should never judge a woman's beauty by the way she fries her eggs! Remember girls, do not associate with men who don't have eggs that have been fried sunny-side down," Miss Saotome said sharply.

"I guess it didn't work out very well," hissed Sayaka.

"Whatever gave you that idea?" whispered Madoka.

"And you boys better not grow up into me who don't know how the darn eggs are cooked, understand?" she added firmly.

After that, she cleared her throat and composed herself.

"Well, now that that's out of the way, let's give a big warm welcome to our new classmate," Miss Saotome said to the class, despite Sayaka's mild surprise and confusion.

In stepped the girl that Madoka had seen in her dreams. She saw however, that she was wearing the same uniform as her, Sayaka, and Hitomi, but her leggings were pitch black, even as Sayaka commented on her appearance. But something clicked within Madoka's mind.

"No way, it couldn't be," she gasped.

"Why don't you tell the class a little bit about yourself?" asked Miss Saotome.

"I'm Homura Akemi. It's nice to meet you," Homura said.

At first, the teacher was about to write her name down, but Homura quietly stopped her and finished spelling it. She then bowed to her classmates, who applauded her.

"Hmm… pretty respectful," observed Sora.

Sometime later after class, all the students of Mitakihara Middle School wanted to learn more about Homura, as they asked her many different questions about what she did before. Behind her, Madoka, Sayaka, Hitomi, and Team SKYYLAR were watching her from a distance.

"There's something very mysterious about that girl, don't you think?" she said.

"You're right. I did see that she gave Madoka a bit of a shock when she looked her in the eye, but had a bit of an off putting look that made her uncomfortable," agreed Kirito.

"But what makes you say that?" Madoka asked worriedly, when she saw Kirito with a puzzled look on his face.

"I'm sorry. I think today's been a little stressful for me. I'm not feeling very well," said Homura.

She then asked her classmates to let her go to the nurse's office, which the others agreed on, and even asked to show her the way, but Homura told them she'd ask the nurse's aid to take her there. Then she walked up to the strange group behind her.

"Miss Madoka Kaname, you are the nurse's aid, are you not?" she asked in a cold tone.

Madoka nodded hesitantly, Sora wasn't sure why Homura was acting this way.

"You don't mind if I tag along, do you?" he asked.

"I'll allow it, but who are you?" questioned Homura.

"I'm Sora," replied Sora.

"I'm Homura Akemi, and I see you've become Madoka's friend," she said.

The three of them soon set off down the hallway, passing many students along the way, until Sora decided to break the ice between them.

"Hey, Homura, just a bit of confirmation, but how did you know that Madoka's the school nurse's aid?" he asked.

"Miss Saotome said that she was," replied Homura.

"Oh, right. Of course she did. By the way, the nurse's office is-" chimed Madoka.

"This way, right?" Homura said.

"Okay…? But how do you know the way despite being a new student, Homura?" questioned Sora.

"My parents visited this school before, after they suggested that I transfer here," Homura replied.

"Hmm… sounds fair," he said.

"Uh, Homura," Madoka said.

"What is it?" she asked.

"Um, well… It's just that I've heard that name before, in another world, which makes me think that you share it with someone who used to be on the side of darkness, but has chosen to walk the path of a rogue who stands between light and darkness. Still, a name like Homura is pretty cool, instead of unusual for you," explained Sora.

"I see," replied Homura, then she turned sharply and looked Madoka in the eye.

"Madoka Kaname, do you treasure the life you currently live, and do you consider your family and your friends precious?" she asked sharply.

"Uh, well, I… of course I do. I mean, I do. My family, and my friends. I love them very much, and yes, they're very precious to me," replied Madoka.

"I agree with Madoka, Homura. And I mean that whole-heartedly. Believe me, I can understand her feelings about them," added Sora.

"Do you now?" questioned Homura.

"Yep. There's no way she and I would lie about that at all," he answered without any hesitation.

"Sora," Madoka murmured.

"Good. Because I can sense that your feelings are similar, and although you lead a complicated life, Sora, I hope you can guide her down the right path. Otherwise, she'll end up lost in the darkness," said Homura.

Madoka was shocked to hear that from Homura, but Sora didn't flinch one bit.

"Don't worry. I won't let the darkness hurt Madoka in a way that could hurt either of us. You have my word, Homura Akemi," assured Sora.

"Good then. You have earned my respect, Sora. Because if anything happens to Madoka, I will never forgive myself," replied the dark-haired girl.

Then she walked away, leaving Madoka feeling bewildered, while Sora gave Homura a serious look.

"What was that all about?" she asked.

"Got me," Sora replied, folding his arms over his chest.

As soon as class started again, Homura was now showing her classmates in the other classes her intellect and cleverness, as well as her athletic abilities, which also impressed the teachers, but she still looked at both Sora and Madoka, who were standing alongside their friends. Unknown to them, the cat-like creature stood watching and waiting from the shadows. A while later after school, they all went to the Mitakihara shopping mall, as Sayaka became surprised by what she heard.

"She said what?" she asked.

"It doesn't make any sense, does it?" sighed Madoka.

"Yeah, well, I'm guessing that even though Homura's a newbie, she's actually been impressing her classmates and teachers. Still, despite being a transfer student, I'm a little confused as to why she's not acting all cheery and happy-go-lucky like the rest of us," replied Sora.

"This has to be a misunderstanding. Are you positive you've never met her before?" Hitomi asked.

"None of us have," answered Yang.

But suddenly, Yui began to feel a little uneasy.

"Something tells me that Homura Akemi isn't who we think she is at all," she said to them.

"Also, this might sound a bit strange coming from me, but I first met her in a dream… or something," added Madoka.

"Don't worry, none of us would even think of misjudging you, Madoka, but at the same time, I have to agree with Yui about this," assured Asuna.

"I agree with her as well, Asuna. I think Homura's hiding something, and she might not be telling us something about who or what she really is," murmured Leafa.

"I know what you mean. But even if we ask her, she might pull a River Song by saying, 'Spoilers.' as her way of not revealing too much to us," replied Kirito.

"As for that dream of yours, do you know what really happened, Madoka?" Sora asked.

'That's the thing. I can't really remember what happened in it, all I know is that it was really strange and spooky," she replied.

This made Team SKYYLAR slump in defeat and give a heavy sigh.

"If you want my opinion, I think it's entirely possible you might've met Miss Akemi somewhere before. You might not remember meeting her, but your subconscious certainly took note of it. When you were having that dream, your subconscious certainly brought up the image of her," said Hitomi.

"Seriously? That's a heck of a coincidence, don't you think?" interjected Sayaka.

"Well, guess we won't know for sure until we learn more about Homura," replied Ruby.

But Hitomi looked at the time on her phone, and bade her friends goodbye, as she had to go to tea ceremony lessons, despite the pressure of highschool examinations. Madoka had to agree, even though her new friends weren't students of the school she and Sayaka went to. Then, she asked Madoka if it was okay to hit the music store, which made her think it was something interesting for Kyosuke.

"Hey, Sayaka, who's Kyosuke?" he asked.

"He's a very special person I met back then. He suffered a severe injury that rendered his hand completely useless after a horrible accident, and he's been unable to play violin after that fact," explained Sayaka.

Sora felt somber after what he heard, causing Madoka to rest her hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry," he said quietly, but Sayaka ran up to him and hugged him tightly.

"Don't be. But, I can understand guys who are upset about what I told them, even after learning about someone I know," Sayaka replied.

Sora nodded, then returned the hug, where everyone nodded their approval. Moments later, they all went down to the music store, after bidding Hitomi goodbye. However, they didn't know that Homura was in another part of the shopping mall, chasing after the catlike creature, as well as trying to kill it. In the music store, Sora was listening to something that seemed to echo in his mind, as well as make him recall his deadly clash with the dreaded Vassago, son of Sephiroth and Nehelenia, Prince of the Dead Moon Kingdom from Sailor Moon's world.

(Author's note: Sora's listening to Bury the Light by Casey Edwards and performed by Victor Borba from Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, the theme of his final clash with Prince Vassago, before his clash with Sephiroth, following his rival's disappearance, and the death of Nehelenia)

Suddenly, Madoka heard a voice calling to her for help. Confused, Madoka slowly walked away, with Sora, Sayaka, and the others following after her. Slowly and cautiously, Madoka searched through the restricted section of the mall, which was currently under renovation, just as Sora raced to her side. Although surprised, Madoka agreed to let him join her as they entered the still under renovated part of the mall, and began to search around, when she saw the strange key-shaped weapon in Sora's hand.

"What is that weapon you're holding, Sora?" she asked.

"A Keyblade, Madoka. Only those with a truly strong heart are capable of wielding these weapons," Sora explained briefly.

They continued to search around the renovated area, with Sora looking vigilantly left, right, up, down, and even behind him, while also being cautious of any Heartless that would attempt to jump them from any part of their surroundings. Suddenly, the ceiling gave way, and the creature that called to Madoka fell down, but it also made her stumble back into Sora, making her blush, when she felt his hand on her shoulder.

"Are you okay, little guy?" Sora asked as he walked up to it, and looked down at its injured form.

"Please help me," it replied.

Suddenly, the chains rattled and crashed to the floor. There stood Homura, dressed in what looked like a different colored school uniform, which looked nothing like what Madoka was wearing.

"Homura?" they asked.

"Get away from that creature," she said.

"What are you talking about? He's badly injured. What did he do to provoke you? Answer me, Homura!" demanded Sora.

"Sora, please," Madoka said worriedly, as she took hold of his hand.

"Step aside, both of you," Homura stated.

"Not until you give me a straight answer, Homura," countered Sora.

"That's enough, Sora! I heard that creature calling out my name, and it asked me to help him!" cried Madoka.

"Really?" questioned the dark haired girl.

"That's right, Homura. And for your sake, I'd suggest you back off before I get serious about facing you in battle," remarked the spiky-brunette.

"Why must you insist on stopping me, Sora? If you don't have it in your heart to obey, then you'll have to share that creature's fate," Homura said, as her brow furrowed with frustration, until a tear rolled down her cheek.

Before a fight was about to break out, there came a click of fingers, and several black creatures emerged around them.

"The Heartless! Get to safety! We'll hold them off!" cried Sora.

"Uh, right," replied Madoka, just as she saw him and Homura rush head first into the swarm.

But as she fled, she soon turned around, just as Sayaka and the rest of Team SKYYLAR arrived.

"Where's Sora?" Yang asked.

"He's back with Homura, fighting off a swarm of black creatures he calls the Heartless! Please, you guys, you need to help him!" Madoka replied, still in her panicked stupor.

"Madoka, please, try to calm down. Collect your thoughts, and breathe slowly," Leafa said as she placed her hands on Madoka's shoulders.

Madoka did so, just as the sound of sword slashing and gunfire was heard in the distance far away.

"Unearthly creatures of darkness, begone!" cried Homura, blasting some of them back.

She turned to Sora.

"Go after Madoka! Hurry!" she said to him.

"I'm on it," replied Sora, and he raced off, while cutting his way through the swarm of Heartless that were trying to ambush him.

But as he did, the area around Homura began to distort and change in a rather disturbing way.

"Why is this happening now?" she asked angrily.

"Sora, what the heck is going on? And what's with that weapon of yours? And what's that thing in Madoka's arms? Is it some kind of stuffed animal?" Sayaka asked as they ran, after she saw Sora catch up to her.

"Talk later, keep running!" barked Kirito.

But as they continued running, the same thing that entrapped Homura appeared around them. Sayaka was truly confused.

"Team SKYYLAR, to arms! we have to protect Madoka and Sayaka!" cried Sora.

The group soon readied their weapons, and quickly formed a circle around them. Suddenly, they noticed what looked like strange cotton balls with mustaches coming towards them, which made Asuna panic, and almost cower behind them.

"No, I may be afraid of ghosts, but I will not cower before any monster that dares hurt my friends!" she said determinedly.

"Asuna's right, everyone! We can't let them come near our friends so they can hurt them!" agreed Kirito.

The others had to nod in agreement, even as the two girls continued to hold each other from within the circle.

"Sayaka, what I'm about to say to you and Madoka is probably not gonna make any sense at all. None of this is a dream. It's happening for real, right here, right now," Sora said.

"Okay, you oversized dust balls, Come and get some!" cried Yang.

But as she was about to attack, something stopped the creatures from coming towards them, and another girl arrived, despite the confusion.

"That was close, wasn't it. But don't worry, you're safe now," she said to them.

"Whoa," Sora said in surprise.

He took note of her blonde hair which was styled in twin drill-tails, but noticed that her eyes were golden. Normally, golden eyes signified their affiliation with the darkness, or Xehanort, who was already gone. She wore the same uniform as Madoka and Sayaka did, but he noticed that her appearance was more mature looking, despite her age.

"Thank goodness, you rescued Kyubey for me. I'm very grateful. He's a dear friend of mine, and I was so very worried," the girl added.

"Well, here's the nonsensical part of this story. Madoka said that this creature, Kyubey, was calling to her for help, because she could hear his voice echoing in her mind," replied Sora.

"Ah, I see. I can tell by your uniforms that you both go to Mitakihara Middle School, but I don't remember seeing you people with them," replied the drill-tailed girl.

"Oh, right. I'm Sora. This is Kirito, Yang Xiao Long, Yui, Leafa, Asuna Yuuki, and Ruby Rose. Together, we are Team SKYYLAR!" Sora said, introducing the team to him, as he and the two girls he'd met at Beacon on the world of Remnant, posed with him.

"Team SKYYLAR?" Madoka asked.

"Never heard of it," added Sayaka.

"Nor have I, even though you've told us who you are. However, do you think you can help me out a bit?" the girl asked Sora, just as the creatures came charging in.

"We'd be honored," replied Leafa.

With a friendly nod, the girl tossed what looked like a strange stone with a shimmering light inside it, then danced about, until landed back in her hand.

"Okay then, let's wrap this up quickly," she said.

Then she was engulfed in a shining light, and her clothes soon changed to that of a western/European type of steampunk look, with a beige skirt with black tips, a short sleeved white shirt with puffs and arm warmers, a brown corset-like garment around her midsection, a small brown hat with white fur coming out if it, gray and white striped leggings, and black and yellow knee high boots. Team SKYYLAR quickly followed suit, just as Sora and Kirito assumed their Nephilim Soul form, and joined Mami in the air, as several musket rifles appeared around them.

"JACKPOT!" the two boys said, and fired Ebony, Ivory, and Blue Rose at the creatures, with Mami following suit.

Explosions echoed everywhere, until they were all returned to reality, with Madoka looking at them in awe, until Homura arrived.

"The witch got away. If you want to finish it off, you'd better go after it. I won't mind if you take it this time," she said to her.

"ButI still have work to do here," protested Homura.

"Enough, Homura. I suggest you back off and leave as quietly as you can, or we might end up in a heated fight where the Heartless will get us all killed. And trust me, if that happened then you most certainly won't forgive yourself," interjected Sora.

"Calm yourself, Sora. I'm willing to overlook it this time, but only if she's in agreement with me. However, I agree with your judgment about who we shouldn't draw these Heartless to our location during our petty squabble," assured the girl, and the rest of Team SKYYLAR nodded in agreement.

Slowly relenting, Homura nodded, then turned away and left. Once she was gone, the girl, who introduced herself as Mami Tomoe, used her powers to heal Kyubey's wounds, and the creature thanked her for a job well done.

"I'm not the one you should be thanking. They saved you. I was just passing by," Mami said to them.

"Thank you very much. My name is Kyubey," said the creature.

"Wait a minute. You're the one who called for Madoka to help you?" Kirito asked skeptically.

"That's correct, Kirito, Sora, Yang Xiao Long, Leafa, Asuna Yuuki, Ruby Rose, Madoka Kaname, and Sayaka Miki," replied Kyubey.

"Okay, this is creepy, but why do you know our names?" questioned Yang.

"I came here because I have a favor to ask of most of you," replied the cat.

"And what exactly is that?" questioned Leafa.

"I want you to make contracts with me, and become magical girls," answered Kyubey.

"How about, no thanks, Kitty Cat?" remarked Yang, as she pounded her fist into her waiting hand.
