Hey everybody. I know it's been a good moment since I posted just wanted to personally debate how I wanted this to go even more. Anyway thank you all for support and patience.
Before they could go on Harry needed a moment to calm, which Tonks led him out to the hallway so he could do so. Harry leaned against the wall as he slid to the ground and held himself as he looked straight down on the ground. Tonks dropped down beside him and simply put her hand on her back softly rubbing it up and down softly.
"It's okay Harry, just take it easy and breath." Tonks whispered to him softly rubbing the spot right where his shoulders met.
"I can't do this Tonks." Harry finally said after a moment. "I can't be Lord Black...or whatever they want me to be. I-I'm a 16 year old teenager that hasn't even finished school yet."
"But your also the only man besides Dumbledore to stare right at You-Know-Who not once, but twice and fight back without fear." Tonks smiled reassuringly
"No that's a lie." Harry clarified her statement. "I was afraid. More afraid than I had ever been in my life. I stared at the man who murdered my mother and my father, then a very good friend and rival in Cedric. I stared at him and I was afraid of him pointing that wand at me and killing me. I stared into him and felt his cold callous soul try to stab me. Not to mention after last year I couldn't even trust my own mind. He thrust his hands deep into my mind and made me see things I never wanted to see. He stabbed himself into me and made me fall for a trick I should have anticipated after having my beginning lessons with Snape. I should have expected Voldemort to do it but no, I leaned into it as a way for me to give answers to Dumbledore and chances for me to find out more on how to fight that man. Now...Now because of that hubris my god father is dead. Your cousin is dead and it is my fault, no matter what anyone says and I have to live with it."
Tonks had no way of speaking after that as she sat and thought about what he had just said. All the expectations and hope that was thrust upon this person's shoulders since a accident that is even questioned on if it was even Harry who defeated him the first time. And they had all taken it for granted, even her. Harry hadn't had a normal life like she was lucky to have with school...well normal in a wizarding world sense.
"Your right." She began and saw Harry stop. He didn't look at her but his attention was on her. "You've been through worst than any and every person has probably gone through since the time of Grindelwald. And I'm sorry you've had that thrust upon you." Finally she leaned over and hugged him softly. "You need a vacation." There it was. The ability Tonks had that was better than her transformative capabilities. Her ability to break tension as Harry just suddenly started laughing. It was slow at first but it kept going even further and further.
"You know it." Harry admitted. "Maybe after next year." He rolled his eyes sarcastically. "Tonks?"
"Yeah Harry?"
"Thanks." It was small and simple but in the end that was Harry. It didn't need to be some grand gesture of affection. Just a simple ability to say thank you and really mean it. It made a smile cross Tonks' face the first one since the entire will reading began.
"Are you ready to go back in?" She asked softly. Simply he looked up and nodded before they headed into the room again after wiping themselves off and washing his face calmly.
Thorntack looked up as they reentered and smiled. "All is well I assume Lo- Harry?" Thorntack had already noticed how Harry had reacted to being called the Lord of House Black and Master Potter. Just like Sirius and his father, Thorntack chuckled to himself. After a brief nod they returned to their seats. "Well, very well if we can continue. As stated you are inheriting all that is left of his property and the Black estate to you and his title as Lord Black. I have already taken the liberty to put your name down as Harry for normal meetings but in the case of formal get togethers and gatherings you will be referred to as Lord Bl-" He was continuing before another paper appeared on his table. "Hm?"
Harry looked around as if others could help explain it to him the thing he found odd was Dumbledore staring at the table quite intimately. "Professor?"
"Harry, I believe as much as you may not like it things in your life are about to grow to a whole new area of complications than I wished be in your life." Dumbledore said softly and looked slightly annoyed and saddened.
Thorntack looked up. "So Harry it seems that, with you taking the mantle of Lord Black, you have became emancipated under legal law and will be seen as an adult in the eyes of the wizarding community. With that it also means that your parents will is able to be read as well thanks to you reaching your majority."
Harry blinked in surprise. There was more that his parents left him? What more could possibly be added to everything that Sirius left.
"With their will you shall obviously claim everything that they left in their vaults but also the titles of Lord Potter, Peverell, and one we need a answer for. Harry, did you infact wield the Sword of Godric Gryffindor?"
"Yeah against a Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets at Hogwarts." Harry spoke and saw a stunned look from Tonks. Did she not know? He wondered but didn't push it.
"Ah yes the events of your second year. Well the Sword has an enchantment in it that it would appear for him or his descendants if they need it. The Sword and enchantment was made by us the Goblin Nation, and with it we wish for you to keep this enchantment. And with this you are named Lord Gryffindor as well."
Now that Floored Harry. A Lord Gryffindor?!
"Thorntack by chance, how much is Harry worth now." Tonks asked for him.
"Well by our records this means that Harry could possibly live a long and good life for not only him but his children as well if he chose to have any." He admitted. "We'd like your permission to begin placing wards and reconstruction on Potter Manor for you."
Harry nodded. "Does this mean I'll be able to move out of my Aunt and Uncle's?"
"No!" Finally Dumbledore stood up at this. "Harry as much as Goblin Wards are good you have a Blood Ward formed by your mother's sacrifice. You must be by someone of her blood in order for it to remain strong."
"In all due respect Professor. The wards may be good for me from outside affects than what about those in side the wards from them." Harry grew angry at the Professor's attempt of sending him back. "Besides won't they be inert now that i have reached my majority?" That halted the Professor for this was true. The blood wards were only meant until Harry reached his majority in the wizarding world and with his claim of Lord Black he now no longer had the blood wards.
"You make a good point Harry, Forgive me." He gave a small head bow.
Harry turned back to Thorntack who continued. At the end of it it became clear that Harry had enough property and currency for a long and good life...if he got to live it. After signing a few papers he leaned on Tonks.
"Can you take me home?" He asked her softly however he could feel a cold stare at his back as she nodded and they instantly apparated from there.
"He seems tired Dumbledore." Andromeda Tonks finally spoke up after a while and stared at the spot her daughter and Harry had been. "How much has he gone through."
"Too much." He simply replied and those two words were more than anything.
Upon arriving at Harry's room, All they did was sit down on the couch he transfigured. Harry stared at the ground for a bit just entirely exhausted by the entire day and for once it seemed like he had no words. Funny enough fighting Voldemort seemed to be a easier than being thrust with all the news of him being a lord and how his world seemed to be about to flip on the spot.
"Harry?" Finally a voice broke through his thoughts and he looked up at Tonks "So...what's next?"
"Next...next I think we should eat dinner." Harry said hoping something recognizing normalcy would bring him back down to earth." He shook his head as he walked to the kitchen area and began cooking.
"Do you need any help?"
"No." The answer came so fast and simple that it surprised Tonks.
"Oh Okay let me know if you need anything alright?" With a grunt of affirmation Tonks sat back down and began to wonder a bit. She knew this was probably just him needing to work out some thoughts, as cooking clearly let him flow through thoughts and ideas more than practice but at the same time it didn't do it as much as flying a broom did for him so it was a catch twenty two on if it would truly help him.
After what felt like forever Harry called her to the dinning area they had made and sat with her with a pot of stew in the middle.
"I'm sorry Tonks." Harry finally spoke. "I didn't mean to be so distant but I-"
"You needed to stop and think." Tonks smiled at him and they laughed softly. "I get it Harry I've had to do the same after some Auror missions so i know it."
"Thanks Tonks...now enjoy. Consider it a thank you for everything you've done for me over the past couple days." Harry smiled softly. He hugged her side softly before pouring their bowls full of stew for them to eat as he also made some biscuits to go along with it.
"Homemade biscuits too? God Harry if you wanna just marry me now I'll gladly take you as a househusband." Tonks teased and couldn't help but laugh at Harry's face.
"Hey, I'm no househusband I need to be out there doing stuff not sitting in a stuffy house." Harry glared playfully.
"Oh Harry just let me have my fun" She stuck out her tongue. "Besides it wont be stuffy in that house as long as you cleaned it up like I ask." She continued only to get a eyeroll from Harry as they ate. After food was over they actually stood over the sink and did dishes together. Harry washing, and Tonks drying. This had became a norm during their time together.
"Hey Harry?" Tonks asked.
"Yeah?"
"I was wondering, could I stay at the manor with you? I just don't want you to be alone still until I'm sure i can leave you alone for five seconds without the world coming down."
Harry broke out laughing before nodding as he looked over at her. "Yeah Nymphadora. You can stay."
"I told you not to call me Nympha-" Was all Tonks got out before the House was rocked and the house's walls exploded.
Pushing Rubble off him Harry looked up and saw a gray face...and red silted eyes.
