In Musutafu Japan, traffic at a busy road has come to a standstill.
Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo stand facing opposite sides of the road, hands outreached and holding back the traffic. Meanwhile, Mina Ashido helps escort groups of school children, the elderly and other pedestrians across a nearby crossing.
Bakugo growls in displeasure.
Bakugo: Why the hell are we doing this? We're heroes! Not crossing guards!
Izuku: It's part of All Might's community outreach assignment. As heroes, it's important that we engage in community service to maintain trust and good faith with the public.
The blonde scoffs in response.
Bakugo: Some D-list sidekick maybe! But I-!
He's interrupted by an impatient driver slamming down on his car horn.
BEEEEEP.
Bakugo in turn scowls at the driver and begins to shout.
Bakugo: Wait your turn Goddamnit!
He then turns back to Mina, who has finished helping an old man across.
Bakugo: Oi Raccoon Eyes! What the hell is taking so long!?
Izuku however, addresses her in a calmer manner.
Izuku: Is it okay to let the traffic start moving again?
Mina looks towards the pavement.
Mina: I think so, is there anyone still waiting to cross?
She is distracted by something however, and joy immediately takes over her face.
Mina: Ohmigosh! Look!
Not too far in the distance, a mother goose comes waddling down the street, accompanied by its offspring.
The trio watch as the birds make their way towards the crossing. But whilst Izuku and Mina look on in awe, Bakugo is increasingly agitated.
Mina: Geese! Aren't they adorable!
Izuku: Those are White-fronted Geese; they mostly tend to come here for the winter. Do you think there's a park nearby?
Bakugo: Who the hell cares!? Can I let these cars go now!
Mina scoffs in indignation.
Mina: No way! We gotta let them cross first!
Bakugo: Oh for f-!
And so, the mother goose crosses the road and her goslings follow one by one.
However, one timid gosling has fallen behind and struggles to keep up with the rest of the gaggle.
Izuku and Mina gush as they see the straggler stumble over the road.
Izuku and Mina: So cute!
Bakugo meanwhile sneers at the gosling, small explosions popping in his hand.
Bakugo: Move it you pest!
BOM. BOM. BOM.
The gosling responds by nipping Bakugo's ankle with its beak, making the teen release a startled cry.
Bakugo: Yowwch!
Further enraged Bakugo snarls at the tiny fledging. Amused, Mina stifles a laugh. Meanwhile Izuku begins to look back and forth in concern.
Izuku: Uh Kacchan… I really don't think you should-
The gosling then freezes in fear as Bakugo swiftly reaches down to grab it, much to Izuku's protest.
Bakugo: Come here you little bastard!
Izuku: Wait! Don't-!
Almost immediately the mother goose flies at Bakugo's head.
HONK. HONK.
Izuku then finishes his warning, though his voice shifts into a tone of defeat.
Izuku: Threaten it in front of its mother...
He and Mina can only watch on and grimace as the bird swerves around the teen, using her beak to savagely peck at his ears and neck.
Izuku: I did try to warn him.
Mina: Yikes.
Bakugo tries to fight off the goose by lighting off some explosions but to no avail.
Bakugo: Gah! Get off of me you-!
BOOM. BOOM.
Eventually, Bakugo falls to the ground and the goose, unscathed, nudges her gosling towards the others. Now regrouped, they continue to waddle along the pavement.
Izuku and Mina stand over Bakugo, still on the ground with his hair a mess filled with soot and feathers.
Izuku looks at him in concern while Mina smirks in enjoyment.
Izuku: Are- Are you okay?
Mina: Guess she really ruffled your feathers, huh?
Bakugo simply responds by blowing a feather out of his mouth, before assuming a familiar, though somewhat softer, angry disposition.
Bakugo: Shuddup…
End.
