"We yetis are professionals in time sliding," Nix explained. "Harry and I came here to save your and your wife's lives."

With a flick of James' hand, his wand was ready to attack. However, to Harry's relief, more than surprise, Nicholas began to chuckle. "I wouldn't do that if I was you. If you kill us now, Voldemort is going to kill you and Lily tomorrow night."

"It's really going to happen," James said, seemingly more to himself than to the others. "Lily was right."

"Dad! We won't let it happen. Please let us explain."

"You have Lily's eyes!" James seemed to realise in apparent shock. "You're really Harry. Our son. You are a time traveller?" James shook his head in apparent confusion, before he let out a deep sigh. "It's hard to believe, but let's assume that you're telling the truth. All right, son. Now, tell me what we need to do?"

"Can you please fetch my mother here?"

"I shall accompany you to the fireplace to make sure that you'll find your way back," Croaker announced, sounding amused.

'My birth parents,' Harry thought, smiling, when his father led his birth mother into Croaker's office. 'Many years ago, I'd have been thrilled to meet them, but now, Regina is my mum.' He observed with a strange feeling of bewilderment how little Harry toddled behind his parents. 'That's me. How strange. Poor child. He's going to be sent to the Dursleys tomorrow night.'

He recalled what Rebecca and Artemis had told him. 'Do not pity little Harry. If he doesn't go to the Dursleys, you won't come to live with Regina, won't get to know Connie and won't have the family you have now.' He inwardly sighed, however, consoled himself with the thought that Rebecca would look after little Harry and would take him to Regina in a little more than four years' time.

He was brought back to reality, when Croaker began to explain about their plan in detail. 'How come that he knows things, which we didn't even tell him?' he wondered, however, nodded in understanding, when the head Unspeakable continued.

"With Nix' assistance, my older self sent me a letter and explained everything of Harry's and his Unspeakable team's plan. In fact, he has taken Harry under his wing at the age of five with the intention of making him his successor once he finishes Hogwarts."

"Are you at Hogwarts yet?"

Harry smirked. "No, Dad. I'm going to be elven in three months."

"As Mini Unspeakable, he has been training with all kinds of creatures and people who are professionals in various fields of study. At the age of ten, he already has a muggle wife…" Ignoring a collective gasp coming from James and Lily, he continued, "… has taken his Potions NEWT together with his wife and is the developer of the most innovative broom series."

"I am going to kill Sirius," James announced. "How can he allow Harry to marry at the age of ten, a muggle at that? What? Brooms?"

"I don't think Harry was raised by Sirius." Lily shook her head. "Otherwise, he wouldn't be that studious."

Harry chuckled, before he explained about studying with Nicholas, making a Philosopher's stone and brewing the elixir of life. "This potion," he held out one of the small phials he was carrying in his inner robe pocket, "is the enhanced elixir. It will make you survive the killing curse, but you'll appear to be dead for an hour. Dumbledore and whoever will come to your house will assume that you're dead, and only after an hour, you're going to wake up. You'll still have to be careful that no one notices that you're not really dead, as we must not change the future."

"As soon as you wake up, you will use this Portkey." Croaker handed two thin silver necklaces to the Potters. "The activation code is 'Croaker's office' and, needless to say, the Portkey will take you here, where we'll be waiting for you to arrive. Don't look for each other, just leave. You will meet here."

While James nodded in apparent understanding, Lily protested vehemently. "And Harry? I can't simply leave him alone."

"You must." Croaker's voice was firm and allowed no contradiction. "Don't worry, he will be looked after."

"Do I seem neglected?" Harry asked, grinning.

"Not really." Lily smiled.

However, James shook his head. "Does Dumbledore know about this?"

Croaker cleared his throat. "Dumbledore mustn't know. From what my older self told me, he did not act neither in your nor in Sirius' nor in Harry's best interest."

"Let's at least discuss this with Sirius."

"No."

Harry let out a deep sigh. "Lily, Dad, are you going to work together with us and take the potion and do as Croaker told you? Otherwise, Nix and I can as well return to our own time."

James glared at him. "First of all, Lily is your mother, and you should show her the necessary respect by calling her Mum, and…"

"No." Harry shook his head. "I am sorry, but Regina is my Mum now. She took me in at the age of five, when no one else was there." He was about to say 'Because you chose the wrong Secret Keeper and the wrong godfather for me,' however, stopped himself on time. "While I want you to be alive and nearby, I will not give up the family which I finally found, when you were unavailable."

"Are you our son or aren't you?" James' glare intensified.

Harry sighed, while he absentmindedly played with the phial in his hands. "Nix, I think I can't do that. I'm going to return to the future. Sorry, everyone."

"Harry!" Nicholas stepped over and gently laid his arm around Harry's shoulders. "You've spent the better time of two years or even more on this project. Are you going to throw it all away?"

Harry shook his head. "No, but James is as stupid as Sirius was, when I first met him."

Nix chuckled. "At least, his actions made you get a head start at time sliding, even if through accidental magic."

Harry smiled at the yeti, who had been his teacher for more than five years. "True."

"Now, Lord and Lady Potter, if you could stop this nonsense please." Croaker shook his head. "I know that this is hard to take in, but the Unspeakables, especially Harry's adoptive aunt and uncle, have spent more than eight years studying the circumstances around your death, the manipulations through Dumbledore, the incapability of your so-called best friends and so on. Will you please trust them and have them save your lives?"

"Of course, sir. I am sorry, Harry." Lily cast him an apologetic look, as she manoeuvred Baby Harry on her lap. "Of course, it is all right for you to call me Lily, considering the circumstances. I am glad that you found a new mother who took care of you all these years."

"Still, you're our son, too," James added, sounding less grim than before.

"Of course, Dad."

"So, I take it that this Regina woman is not married?"

Harry shook his head. "No, Dad. I think that she and Remus like each other, but Remus probably won't be ready to marry, before we'll somehow manage to cure him from lycanthropy."

"Remus got himself a girlfriend? That's cool." James grinned.

Lily's eyes widened. "I was trying to develop a cure, but inefficiently so far."

Harry nodded. "We need you in our time to assist with that."

The discussion lasted for hours. Only when little Harry began to squirm, uttering "hungy," Lily and James excused themselves.

"Before you leave, please take the elixir." Harry's voice was firm, and his birth parents immediately complied, before they handed back the empty phials.

"Harry, it's too late to ask, but do you know if there could be any side effects that might harm the baby?"

"The baby?" Harry's eyes widened, as he looked from little Harry to his birth mother's stomach. "Ah. Am I going to be a big brother?"

"Yes, son, provided that everything will go well."

"It will," Harry said, reassuringly, fully trusting in the capability of his advisors. "All right then, we'll see you again here in Croaker's office tomorrow night."

When Lily and James left the office with little Harry in tow, Harry noticed in surprise that Croaker unobtrusively waved his hand at his father.

'What was that?' he wondered, however, knew that he could trust Croaker with his life.
