Chiaki sat on the roof of the house, keeping her mind clear she was able to sense that Neji and the boy were still in the same room. The mother and father were in their room. No unknown reiatsu was nearby, and from what she was able to discern no chakra either. Then she saw it, in fact if she had blinked she would've missed it.
Standing from her seat on the roof top she leapt down, and reaching into her pocket pulled out the same tubular container from earlier which contained the gikon. Pressing a button, a green ground pill-like object flew from the duck's mouth into her own. Her soul separated from the gigai, turning back she ordered the gikon inhabited gigai, "Wake Neji, the one with the long brown hair, and help him protect the boy."
The gigai gave a nod and ran back inside the house while she began searching the premises of the building. 'It's a hollow that can hide its reiatsu, that's why I didn't sense it. That also means it wasn't the boy that drowned. This hollow is older,' Chiaki thought to herself. She skid to a sudden halt and focused for a moment before phasing through the wall, she drew her Zanpakuto and intercepted an attack on the boy.
The hollow was a massive lobster, she currently had one of his claws held off with her zanpakuto. The white mask of its face was the only part that wasn't a dark brown hue. The hollow hole was located at the middle of the lobster's belly. It pressed against her, and she easily matched the strength in its attempt to overpower her.
The astonishment was evident when the creature asked, "You—you can see me?"
"That's my sword blocking your claw. Why don't you tell me? Unless your brain boiled in that lake you live in," She pushed her sword up and swung, taking a part of the lobster's claw. It moved to attack with the other, but she raised two fingers up to the hollow while calling out, "Sokatsui!"
A blast of blue energy emitted from the palm of her hand, severing the lobster's claw again. She jumped back and called out, "Rikojokru."
Six wide yellow beams appeared at the mid section of the lobster's body. She then leapt up and sliced it down the center just as she had before in the cave.
"Hmm, that'll do it then," Neji commented. She turned to face Neji as she sheathed her wakizashi blade looking to the boy she stated, "so now you're seeing my true form. This is who I really am. I'm not of this world, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't say anything. To anyone."
The boy hesistated but nodded, his dark hair slightly covered one eye, but the other she noticed was downcast.
"Hey, what's up?"
"We were swimming in the lake three weeks ago. Something got a hold of Tomoya's leg… I tried to help him, but I couldn't. Last night when I felt something grab me…it was right around my waist. It felt like I was being crushed. And then I remember someone trying to pull me away from it," the boy confided.
"If I had to guess, I'd say it was probably Tomoya. He likely remembered that you tried to help him when he was attacked and he tried to do the same for you," Chiaki rationalized. She gained a smile as she inquired, "What does Tomoya look like? I can help him get to the other side."
She listened intently as the boy described a kid a little taller than him with red hair and brown eyes. Chiaki nodded before glancing to Neji. He smiled and gave a nod of his head.
Chiaki walked away from the house and began searching the area around them.
"Hyuga-san, we thought we heard noise," The boy's father greeted him, his wife stood behind him, visibly concerned.
"All is well. There was an old remnant of a summoning which was easy enough to handle. There should be no further attacks on your son," Neji advised them, omitting any information of hollows. That was a conversation he wasn't prepared to have with anyone.
The couple sighed in relief and the mother held her arms out to her son. The boy went to her and hugged her tightly. Neji glanced to Chiaki's gigai before gesturing to the futon he had previously been occupying.
The gikon blinked, looking to the futon, then to Neji, "What it do? Quack!"
Neji's eyes grew wide, his mouth became dry and he felt his stomach knot as he pondered over how he could possibly explain this one. There was only one possibility. He swallowed saliva, then turned to the family and bowed deeply.
"I'm sorry, it would seem my comrade is having a medical episode," he apologized.
Elsewhere in a field by the lake Chiaki had tapped the hilt of her Zanpakuto against Tomoya's forehead. The boy's body glowed until it became a sphere of energy which drifted upwards toward the sky. Smiling contently she turned and headed back towards the house, she'd taken no more than four steps before she sneezed.
"Oh great, someone's talking about me again."
AN: Yes I know before I was going to give her a Chappy Soul Candy…. Since we have no idea what Yuki's personality is… but then I thought 1) that annoying rabbit drives me nuts constantly saying, "Hop! Hop! Hop!" 2) The baby talk…. Dear lord the baby talk! I can picture poor Neji going cross-eyed and tomato red. 3) I get to be creative with an artificial soul…. That's pretty cool! 4) A gikon that causes your gigai tos ay 'quack' at the end of a sentence? People are definitely going to think you're quacked. lol get it?
