One Shot. Drabble. Just a short, little excerpt from my character study on Peter Kingdom, main protagonist of my fanfic series, "Kingdom". Peter reflecting on his 'first time'. Although part of a longer character study, I thought that this little snippet could stand nicely on its own. It gives a little glimpse into Peter's earlier years. Can definitely be read fandom-blind.
This is a scene that, for obvious reasons, ended up not being included in the original story, "All Good Things"(If you haven't already read it, feel free to do so to get the backstory).
Mrs. Hartley donates three paintings to the MSAS jumble sale, not realizing their value. Her son Terry tries to hire Peter to get them back. Mr. Snell is outraged by his latest water bill and wants to sue the Anglian water authorities. Peter learns about his mother, and Lyle grows a mustache.
Never in a million years did he dare to believe for one nanosecond that she could possibly fancy a homely-looking, fifty-something-past-his-prime solicitor who was not only impossibly tall, but also the unlucky owner of a broken nose that had never healed quite straight.

Based on the 2007 TV show Kingdom. Peter Kingdom does the best he can as a solicitor in a small English seaside town, but it isn't always easy. I don't own these characters, but I have been on jury duty. Note: I have fixed the story so I'm not calling Lyle 'Kyle' most of the time.
