"The Giver" Reimagined: Origins explores the clandestine origins of the first Giver.

Jonas is lying on the ground after a training session thinking of a memory the Giver transmitted to him. His thoughts turn to a certain someone with beautiful, red hair.

After Jonas dies, he finds himself in the strange underworld. Who will he meet there, and more importantly, what will happen to those who he left behind?

But he writes because he sees the state of the world as a sad and cruel place, one rife with struggle and conflict. Until the past catches up with him...and offers him the truth, beauty, and a world books cannot offer...

Asher writes a letter to Jonah after the memories come back. Follows movie canon.

(Placed right after the entire populations memories were put into the first receiver of memories mind) It's too much to hold the worlds memories in your mind. The memories back fire and the first receiver of memories is forced to remember lives that aren't his own while watching his friends and relatives look at him as though they were strangers.

It was just the end of christmas and my brother wanted to open his presents from me. So I let him. I had told him that I would be outside on the porch if he needs me, It was just me thinking in my head, With only the winter air around me.
