We meet Cora (40) when she is married to Daniel (45), living in New York. They have three daughters, Victoria (21), Tayler (20) and Olivia (19). We meet Robertt (42) living in London a single live. Both unhappy, but will they find happiness again?

March 1919: In the aftermath of the devastation wreaked by a war and an epidemic, Matthew Crawley arrives at Downton to reluctantly take up his position as heir. A little one-shot based on the events at the end of Downton Abbey: A New Era. This story was prompted by an article I read that had a lot of spoilers for the 2nd Downton Abbey movie so...this summary isn't going to have much in it other than to say...don't read it if you don't want to be spoiled about Charles and Elsie.
