Constable Nathan Grant has had a long series of loss and heartbreak. At times it seems like it is just him and his niece, Allie. He has learned to not get close to people because they can hurt or abandon you. These are the stories of how the boy Nate became Constable Nathan Grant and guardian to Allie and then to Hope Valley.

Elizabeth is an OB-GYN, moving to Virginia Beach to take a position with a medical practice. Jack is a Lieutenant in the US Navy, stationed at Oceana Naval Air Station, also in Virginia Beach. With Rosie as her friend and Lee as his, they are introduced and sparks fly. Military life is difficult, at best. What happens when Jack is called to service and has to leave Elizabeth?

Follow Lee and Rosemary as they go on their trip around the Americas. The story picks up a week after Season 7 ends. This is my first attempt at writing a fan fiction. I would love some feedback! Disclaimer: I do not own the characters from When Calls the Heart.

This is my further update and a far more extensive version of the rescue of Little Jack and Nathan's visit to Fort Clay.
