A contemporary "Persuasion" rewrite with all-minority characters. Koh Su Ying and Jeremiah "J" Robinson were the yin and the yang. Quiet and conservative, she was the scion of a Singapore business family. He was everybody's friend, because his dad owned the corner grocery store in their Brooklyn neighborhood. Yet after they met, their lives would never be the same again.

This fic builds on the idea from BaymaCabo's one-shot, "Happy With Her Love". It branches off from the scenario where Anne is taken ill at the Great House, and takes a different route in which she is taken to Kellynch Hall to recover instead. As she recuperates, Captain Wentworth has some revelations that cleanse and heal his bitterness from the situation in the year six as well.

Anne is sick, but of course, no one bothers to take care of her. So now she is at a dinner at the Great House, but she can't hide anything from Fredrick. As soon as he realizes that she is unwell, his love bursts forth, uncontrollable, and he is determined to get her the help that she needs.

Based solely on the movie 'Persuasion' in 2007 where Frederick's sister (and brother-in-law) never have an inkling who Anne was to Frederick.
