Just a short drabble. What might have been the day after the Netherfield Ball if Mr Bingley had not hurried to London. Taken from Darcy's letter to Elizabeth in Chapter 33 of P&P.

A series of short stories where we take a few more liberties with canon. What if situations in a person's life resulted in a serious character shift? What if there were situations in the past which might alter the entire course of a story? And what if non-canon characters interfered with the storyline as we know it? I will do my best to make each story at least believable. Enjoy.

(REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION) Colonel Fitzwilliam's revelation about Mr. Darcy's interference does NOT send Elizabeth Bennet into a fit of headache and bad feelings. In fact, it offers some relief, because it explains EVERYTHING. It makes everything perfectly clear and tells her exactly how to act.

Darcy is struggling to control his mixed emotions for Elizabeth. He goes for a ride in an attempt to ease his mind and expend his energy. But things do not quite go to plan as some OC provide timely intervention. Any animal lovers out there? This story is suitable for readers with an open mind and a sense of humour. Darcy is miserable at Pemberley, thinking he has lost his chance with Elizabeth. Georgiana is sad to see him so unhappy but cannot seem to cheer him up. Will they dare leave Derbyshire during a snowy December and brave an adventure that may bring happiness into their lives?
