Part II of Désespoir picks up as the family begins a new life in Stockton. The continuation of this Jarrod and Elizabeth saga brings the Barkleys to face great pain, grief, and fear-and begin to heal with the love of family as it should be. Aunt Jane along with Jarrod, Heath, Audra, and Nick will come to terms with unresolved Désespoir from their past.

Ever since I first saw Time After Midnight, I wondered what "freebooter" meant. It only took me 54 years to look it up.

My take on a follow-up to "The Iron Box." Someone suggested this story idea. I wrestled with it for a while and finally feel like it's finished. We see the development of the relationship of Nick and Heath and the dynamic of the three brothers.

The title pretty much speaks for itself, however Jarrod did reach out to us to write a parody for him. This story couldn't have happened without the help of JTBGIRL1312 and JJingo!

What might have happened if BV ran another five years past when Richard Long died, and presumably Jarrod died with him? That would move Nick into the role of Big Brother with responsibilities he'd never had before. How would he handle that?

A short, five chapter story, that shows Gene and two of his brothers going in search of answers that would explain why the fourth brother died. No real drama.

Time After Midnight is one of my favorite BV episodes. I decided to alter it to be able to add my OC Sarah. It takes place after season four in my AU. Audra is away visiting relatives.

Five years after the Barbary Coast saga, Heath is honored by President Hayes and deals with the next generation of birthright. Jarrod brings a long-due honor to his family himself. And Victoria enjoys her full nest.

Eugene's elopement sets in motion a series of events that will change the family forever and open wounds long thought closed for the Barkley family. An AU of an AU in the Elizabeth and Jarrod saga but all the brothers have a large role in a battle bigger than Rimfire for their brother.

After coming to terms with a major loss, Jarrod decides to move on with his life. Can he keep his past from threatening to destroy his future?

Shortly after Heath's adventure in Forty Rifles, he and Audra visit Jarrod in San Francisco – but why have they really come?

Short story that takes place the year before the episode "Run of the Cat". I got the idea from the scene where Jarrod finds out Nick has gone after the cat that attacked him. He can't understand why Nick feels determined to do this until Victoria and Audra remind him of an incident with a horse and a midnight ride Jarrod took.

Over a decade ago, I knew a wonderful lady who was an avid Nickite. So much so, that her username was Mrs. Nick on a few BV boards. Everyone in the Valley knew of her love for Nick and of Peter Breck. She guided me on this Nick story and gave her blessing. Nick meets a beautiful stranger who steals his heart but an enemy is after her. Will they get to have their happy ending?

Jarrod decides to heed some good advice and take a few weeks' holiday, accepting a ride on a friend's boat from San Francisco to Napa. The holiday turns out differently than he planned, and Nick and Heath have to join in.

Audra learns some basic life tools from her brother.

A series of unrelated fics and drabbles centered on the Barkley family. Chapter 5: Episode tag to S1E10, The Murdered Party. Nick has intense emotions, particularly and especially about family.

"Newlywed Games" is the name of a book written by Mary Davis. I borrowed her storyline and rewrote it to give it a Big Valley twist.

This is an alternative ending to The Odyssey of Jubal Tanner.
