Let's say that J'onn did actually get captured by Hank Henshaw all those years ago. Jeremiah is in a coma after trying to help J'onn and when he wakes up will be charged with treason and let's say Alex is already an agent at the DEO working under Hank Henshaw. What would happen? (Just go along with the time line.)

This is a one shot piece about Kara and Alex. It reflects on the relationship between the two sisters, their experiences growing up, along with life in the present. It's a difficult piece as it does contain content about how one deals with loss and death. As a warning, the story does have potentially distressing material for some readers.

My take on what could happen in Season 2, Episode 2, "The Last Children of Krypton"

Alex comes down with the flu, and isn't exactly pleased when she receives an unexpected visitor at her front door.

The soft sincerity that colors her tone makes Alex's insides twist hard. When Kara tugs the agent down once more, she's happy to find no resistance. Well then.

Alex is injured from her mission. Max turns up at her place, and, despite her initial annoyance, she realises he may not be the worst person in the world to have by her side. Basically an excuse to have Max stitch up Alex's injury as they have a bit of a heart-to-heart. Lots of snark and sarcasm as well as some fluff and tender moments. Ref of 1x16 deleted scene.
