A/N: Sorry for the delay. My wife had a medical issue that ended up with another hospital/ER visit. Seriously, can I just have a boring life? Please? Anyway, let's continue with the shenanigans.
Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck
Sarah found herself watching Chuck move with confidence as he worked the control board for the podcast. When he would speak, it was with confidence as well, even when talking to Kayla. The two had talked before the podcast with Kayla apologizing profusely, and Chuck accepting it and giving Kayla a hug.
"So, to wrap this up, you have no romantic feelings toward Chuck Bartowski?" Zondra asked Kayla.
"No," Kayla replied. "He's a great guy, and I hate that I hurt him so bad. That's what I was trying to say that day on my IG. And we've talked and I think we're good."
"We are," Chuck said warmly.
"Good," Kayla chirped. "Now, do I get to spill the tea?"
"I wish you wouldn't, some of these microphones cost a lot of money," Chuck deadpanned. Sarah covered her mouth so she wouldn't laugh. Ellie rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"My God, you are so old," Carina said, shaking her head. "Spilling the tea, means sharing gossip, Grandpa."
"You are older than me!" Chuck reminded her.
"Yes, but I'm young at heart," Carina countered.
"Can we talk about Chuck and Zondra's new show…new TV show?" Kayla asked.
"More Zondra's than mine," Chuck cut in quickly. Sarah found herself smiling at that. "She's the main character, I'm just the TV husband that's on some of the time. It's more about her character's journey and her world, and I'm just a small part of it."
"Hey, you're a big part of it," Zondra insisted. "And for those of you wondering, yes, that's why Chuck and I haven't been here as much, we're filming…well, we're in prep for filming."
"Never knew there was so much work to do," Chuck added. "And, can we give a special shout out to Zondra's and Carina's bestie and her new Paussie Productions studio? Sarah Walker is behind this show. Now, there are no explosions…wait, are there explosions?"
"Spoooilllleeeerrrrrsss," Zondra said in a sing-song voice, making everyone laugh. "Plus, I'm pretty sure she's your bestie now as well."
"I wouldn't say we're besties," Chuck began. Zondra flipped a switch. "What are you doing?"
"Sarah, I've made your microphone hot," Zondra told Sarah, ignoring Chuck. "What would you say to Chuck's comments?"
"We're not besties?" she asked, making Chuck turn to her, and look surprised. "I mean, we're a couple of friends going to the Netflix Upfronts together. I'm hurt Chuck…hurt."
"I'm sorry," Chuck said quickly, and stopped talking as everyone laughed. "Walked right into that one."
"You did," Sarah replied. "But Chuck, I think it's pretty apparent most everyone you meet and get to know, becomes your friend. It's who you are."
"I'm starting my own little cult," Chuck said in the most sinister voice he could.
"Oohhhh," Carina cooed. "That was so adorable."
Everyone was laughing now. "I am not adorable, I'm a cult leader!" Chuck insisted.
"If by a cult leader you mean an adorable, curly-headed, nerd, then sure," Carina told him.
"I just can't win, can I?" Chuck asked, smiling the whole time.
"Nope," Zondra told him. She winked at him. This was going perfectly. Absolutely perfectly. She really hoped Chuck wasn't think about how perfectly it was going because…well, his mind…it would do its thing if it did.

The camera cuts to the interview chairs. Chuck and Sarah are both sitting there. "I never will forget something Dr. Dreyfus told me. My brain, it takes whatever is going on, and comes up with the worst possible outcome to any situation."
"Like Game of Thrones," Sarah added in. "You know where everyone in that show made the worst possible decision every single time someone could make a decision."
"God you're hot," Chuck muttered. Sarah smirked. "But she's right. Dreyfus said my anxiety catastrophizes every situation, regardless of how ridiculous it sounded."
"Tell them about what it did with us," Sarah urged him.
"So with my mind, it wasn't that Sarah didn't like me, it was she did, but it was a big prank, or that I was going to ruin everything because of my anxiety," Chuck replied. "Thinking she wasn't attracted to me wasn't bad enough, oh no. My bastard of a brain had to crank that thing up to eleven."
"Luckily, love can overcome anything," Sarah said, looking at him fondly.
"Yeah," Chuck agreed, nodding.

Sarah watched Chuck walk Kayla to the door. Ellie had left early due to an emergency at the hospital. Sarah was glad the podcast went well. She was excited about where they were with the show, and the chances she had of making her dream come true. "So, how about a girls' night tonight?" Sarah asked Carina and Zondra. The two women Sarah was talking to gave each other a look and then turned back to Sarah. "Oh, have plans, huh?"
"Well, it's kind of a tradition when we do a good show or a big show that we go out, all three of us," Zondra began.
"But you are more than welcome," Carina added.
"Absolutely," Zondra concurred.
"I don't want to make things awkward," Sarah insisted.
"We're gonna be with Chuck, awkward is guaranteed," Carina teased.
"Chuck, you don't mind if Sarah joins us do you?" Zondra called over to him.
"No, not at all," Chuck replied, a strange look on his face. "It's just…nevermind."
"Spill it, Curls," Carina ordered.
"Well, see, these two, they know me, and I'm sure I tame down their nights when they hang out with me, and I just think you three would probably have a much better time without me," Chuck explained. "I mean, Sarah, I'm just a regular guy and you're already gonna be bored out of your mind with me later this week, why don't you three go out, and just have fun."
Zondra started to respond, but Sarah, never taking her eyes off of Chuck, laid her hand on Zondra's arm, stopping her. "Chuck, I'm a regular person," Sarah began.
"Sarah, listen, you are not a regular person," Chuck countered. Sarah started to speak but he hurried on. "And-and I'm not talking because you're an actress, I know actresses, and I know they can be regular people, but…God, Sarah…you're freaking amazing, you know that? Like you have this huge heart, and want to help people, people you don't know, and when you do know them, you go to the ends of the world for them."
Chuck paused, worried he had said too much. Sarah just stared at him, unable to speak. Chuck decided to go all-in.
"And your freaking story…your folks moving to Australia, to raise you, moving to a country that literally had a war with Emus for crying out loud." Sarah couldn't help but laugh about that. "You have kangaroos that want to fight people, King snakes that will kill you in a minute, Koala Bears as pets-"
"We do not," Sarah snorted.
"Don't lie," Chuck continued, grinning, making her laugh. "Seriously, I just assume every day you were in Australia, your clothes magically floated over to you, dressed you, and then you went outside, with your pet Koala Bear on your shoulder, and you climbed on your Ostrich, with your King Snake made up like a lasso, as you rode across the country."
Sarah, Carina, and Zondra were howling with laughter. "What I'm saying is, you are amazing, have this incredible work ethic, are maybe even a little exotic, and I just worry that someone like me…well…you'll regret having to spend too much time with because you'll be bored."
"This is the anxiety talking," Sarah told him, looking him right in the eyes. There was no question in her voice. She knew this was the bully in his head attacking him. "I do not ride Ostrichs."
"Okay," Chuck replied in a dubious one.
She grinned and continued. "I am terrified of King snakes as anyone with any sense should be, and my Koala does not ride on my shoulder…he has a little front backpack I carry him around it." Chuck's eyes went wide, and Sarah burst out into laughter.
"Okay, I deserved that," Chuck muttered, grinning at her. "Yeah, it is anxiety," he admitted. "It's hard to meet really cool people and and not listen to your brain when it tells you your not worthy of them and their time."
She reached over and took his hand. Carina and Zondra shared a look, but Chuck and Sarah didn't even notice them. "I know it was you who helped me, helped Molly. I know that you have encouraged these two bad-ass women when they have doubted themselves. I know you have given me more help than I deserve with my company, and I know you have saved my ass with this TV show."
"Yeah, but-"
"Yeah, but nothing, Mister," Sarah said, her eyes flashing. If Chuck were honest, he was a little scared…and a little turned on. "You are one of those really cool people and I worry, that when you get to know the real me, that you will find out that I am not worthy of your time."
"I can't think of any time I wouldn't want you around….well, when I'm using the bathroom, obviously," Chuck replied.
"Obviously," Carina said. "I mean, these people who poop together-"
"Okay, enough," Chuck said, cutting her off, and pulling out his cell phone. "I'm going to need your address." Sarah looked at him. "I'm the DD tonight." His eyes went wide. "Oh, God, I never even thought how that sounded, like maybe you don't give your address out to anyone because they're a stalker and-"
"Will you calm down," Sarah said, not able to stop herself from laughing. "I've literally been in your closet, I think it's okay."
"Don't do it," Zondra said in a low tone. Sarah looked over at Zondra. "He'll bring you soup when you're sick."
"Yeah, and he'll sometimes just stop by with a tee-shirt or something he saw and it reminded him of you and he bought it and is bringing it to you," Carina added.
"And for the love of God, don't complain about not having food in the house and wanting something specifically or he will just show up, food in hand," Zondra tacked on.
"I'm wondering why he hasn't had my address all along?" Sarah questioned. He handed her his phone and she typed it in. "So, where are we going?"
"Hope you like Mexican," Chuck said, grinning.

The camera cuts to the interview chair where Sarah sits. She's chuckling. "So, I'm supposed to be the one to question you?" She is quiet for a second like she is listening or watching. "How did you become involved with the project?"
The camera cuts to John Casey sitting in the interview chair. "After the success of Life After Thirty-Five," John began. "Sarah contacted me about a project she wanted to work on. She showed everything she had gathered, film-wise, and told me the whole layout. While she was doing it, I noticed Chuck was in the office, not saying anything. There was this look on his face. Pride doesn't even begin to describe it."
John grins. "As I gathered more and more information, I watched the two of them. I've seen couples in love before, but this…this was different. Netflix was wanting them to begin shooting season two, and as I was working in the company, I'd ask about Chuck and Sarah. The stories I heard…they were what gave me the idea for this documentary."
The camera cuts back to Sarah in the interview chair. "So, despite all our work and best efforts, finding all the financing necessary to make my dream come true…we were still short." She grins at someone off camera. "And that's when John Casey had the greatest idea ever, to make this documentary. We just had to find somewhere to sell it to."
The camera cuts back to the interview chair, but this time Quinn is sitting there. "And that's where I came in. We were showing her show on the network, so it only made sense we showed this. Both projects took longer than expected, but…I think the wait was absolutely worth it.
A/N: What is this project she keeps mentioning? Oh, time will tell. Time will tell. Thanks for continuing on this ride with me. Next time:
"Okay, Chuck, we have to admit, he figured us out," Sarah said, walking out from the door that Howard claimed to have seen her from. "Please don't be upset with Chuck, he was just doing what I was asking, and was acting clueless."
"You did it very well," Howard told Chuck. "It was like you didn't know what was going on."
"It's so hard to play like you don't know what's going on," Chuck said to Sarah as she walked up to him. He could see her fighting the urge to chuckle. "I mean, you kinda have to convince yourself you have no idea what is going on, and just go from there. I have you to thank for this amazing experience."
Sarah twisted her lips, fighting the laughter.
*Peers at screen* Is that….shenanigans I see? And…maybe…flirting…just a bit? Nah, not these two…. Take care of yourself my friends. It's nuckin futz out there.
