The Sad Otherworlder

Rimuru Tempest could not believe his ears, when his people reported that a human appeared at town square with a broken neck. A human child around winter.

He hurried as that was ER-worthy levels of Urgency, and there, it was a child. Clearly asian elementary schooler as he hurriedly tossed a potion at her to set her neck back to normal, and she coughed with desperation for air.

'Ghaaaa! Koff koff...'

'Hey, you alright?' Rimuru asked her in concern. 'What happened to you?'

'H-hic...b-bullies pushed me down the stairs in school...' the kid sniffled. 'And I broke my neck...last I heard was screaming from other students...and then suddenly I'm here in a town of monsters...'

Rimuru was stunned, horrified with her words, as he explained to the monsters in another language when he got his senses back, and they were horrified.

This girl, was an Otherworlder who would have died, had 1, nobody came to her rescue whether or not she 'traveled' and 2, he didn't have potions.

'I'll take you in.' said Rimuru, placing his hand on her head. 'I am Rimuru, the leader of this growing Monster City...and I too, was once from Japan. I died from being stabbed in the street, dying from blood loss and next thing I know, I reincarnated as a Slime Monster capable of taking on human form.' he told her kindly. 'I will have my skill implant in you this world's language, so you can read and write it.' "That, and analyze you, too." he added as an afterthought. 'What's your name?'

'Tomo.' said Tomo. 'Sawada Tomo.'

And she heard the words, Proceeding to download the required knowledge in the Individual: Tomo Sawada in a clinical, computerized female voice. And it came in a flash. Letters. Words. Grammar. And things she needs to know about this world and the city of monsters she would soon call home.

But she also has skills which she somehow knew instantly. "E-excuse me, can you explain for me what my skills are? I sorta don't get it?" she thought hopefully. "Moreover how did I even get them?"

Request acknowledged. The individual's skills are:

Unique Skill: Quick Study - enables individual to learn and master any topic or skill pursued. Studies are immediately understood. The body will acclimate to martial arts techniques and magic usage, as well as quickly learn and master them. However, in regards to martial arts, individual must still train their physical body to be capable of using the moves without injury and accidents, thus it is recommended to undergo physical training first, before learning martial arts or weapon usage.

Individual is currently malnourished from eating more of yoshoku-based meals than washoku. You must eat plenty of balanced meals alongside training.

The sub-skills of the Unique Skill are:

Thought Acceleration: Raise thought processing speed by a million times.

Chant Annulment: When using magic, the chant is no longer necessary.

Perfect Memory: the ability to retain memories and 'self' that makes forms of mental and emotional manipulation ineffective.

Extra Skill gained is:

Danger Sense: the ability to detect danger incoming for individual regardless of distance and speed and can safely evade it.

Ultraspeed Regeneration: enables fast recovery from injuries in seconds. However, the regeneration is blocked when a wound has been caused by Spiritrons, through Holy Magic. Also, damage done to the Spiritual Body can just bypass the regeneration itself altogether.

Arts gained are:

Haze: the ability to completely hide one's presence by concealing your form, followed by ridding oneself temporarily of sound, smell, aura, spirit and disguise your temperature, making you undetectable, even with detection skills. The only way to counter this is pure intuition possessed by experienced warriors.

Instant Move: allows individual to rapidly increase their speed for a single movement, allowing for an almost teleportation like effect.

Airflight: allows individual to fly.

Pain Resistance

These skills are gained due to individual's frustration with poor learning ability, bullying from others, despair and hopelessness that nobody would come help you that you wished you were capable, and avoid the people cruel to you as well as quickly heal from injury. However, your poor learning ability and body coordination is caused by a Skill called 'Sky Sealing' inflicted on you four years which constricted your soul itself, causing disharmony in spirit to your body. The Sky Sealing is removed by World Travel as you are far away from the Individual called 'Don Timoteo' who maintains the spell through connection by blood relations as he is your distant relative. Memories of the incident should return in 3...2...1...

It was when Tomo was eight years old.

Her father visited home from abroad, bringing home with him his boss from work, a Don Timoteo. Tomo was told to call him 'Nono', italian word for 'grandpa' which she did.

They stayed for a week, which was a fun happy visit, until one day, before they left, her father took Tomo to his room, where the friendly grandpa was gone and in his place, a cold look as her father put her on his lap, and with a flaming finger, Timoteo touched her forehead, applying the seal.

Never had Tomo felt so betrayed by her own father who basically was the cause of her misery for four years! But why and what for?! Why did her father allow that man to?!

She'll never know now. All she can do is feel bitter.

"I-I see..." Tomo choked into a near sob while Rimuru thought the same, feeling sorry for the kid before removing his hand from her head.

He thought that such skills were befitting for any bully victim pushed to the brink, if bully-victim does poorly in school. But to think her own father allowed his boss to ruin his daughter's life! It was unthinkable! But still, distant relative?

Don Timoteo?

Is it to effectively remove Tomo from line of succession out of interest? As in, 'I'll let your daughter live in exchange for ensuring she is not a threat to my children'?!

That was his only possible conclusion.

At least, Tomo got her compensation by world travel, and she'll be happier here. In Earth, she's at risk of dying for simply a successor to some inheritance!

Upon full-dissolving of 'Sky Sealing', Individual: Tomo Sawada has regained access to Intrinsic Skill: Sky Flames. But due to the skill not in proper formatting of the world's rules, this skill is thus divided into Extra Skills, two additional resistances and one additional Unique Skill.

Hyper-Intuition: the ability to have exceptionally-high perception and instinct, as well as read even the lightest of body language and magic usage to predict enemy movement. Merged as a subskill to Quick Study.

Flame Petrification: an instant-kill skill wherein flames instantly turn you into a statue of ash.

Flame Manipulation: the ability to conjure and manipulate flames at will.

Assimilation: the ability to absorb energies unto oneself to recover lost energy, or absorb for later use, or for use on other targets who are very low in energy. This also works for organic matter consumed such as food and water, enabling physical body to be optimized to peak state of health.

Thermal Fluctuation Resistance: the ability to resist sudden changes in hot or cold temperatures.

Fire Magic Resistance

The additional Unique Skill: Harmony, enables perfect balance and combination of absorbed energies, techniques and Skills to create new powers without flaw nor contradictions. This enables combination magic spells, and collaboration techniques guided by the user with effective calculation rates.

The sub-skills of the Unique Skill are:

Thought Acceleration: Raise thought processing speed by a million times.

Analyze and Assess - Analyzes and assesses the target but this subskill is modified to suit the purpose of the Unique Skill, to study spells, techniques and skills, and determine how much power to work with and what kind of combined or collaborated new power to create.

Parallel Operation: Operates on any matter the user wishes to analyze, separating it from the regular thought process. Any process under Parallel Operation is affected by Thought Acceleration.

All of Creation: Allows the user to fully comprehend any non-concealed phenomenon as long as they have a certain amount of knowledge beforehand.

Law Manipulation: enables the manipulation of the laws of the world from either magical or scientifical perspective. How effective it is used depends on the user's abilities. If the user is not in possession of sufficient affinity for the respective laws or not in possession of enough knowledge about the scientific or magical laws and the way they operate, they will not be able to fully bring out its power.

Now that, is handy. Rimuru thought. If only he can copy it, that'd come in handy! Tomo's unique skills make her the perfect soldier which is scary, but to survive this new world, she absolutely, must train.

And so...

'She's a little shaken by her ordeal...bullying, is bad. And it hurts people like Tomo who are too kind to fight back.' Rimuru told his people. 'Especially when pushed down the stairs and it can kill anyone. She'll recover with help from good friends.' he reassured them. 'For now she'll live with me as my ward.'

As a good adult to a child who clearly needed someone to rely on, it must be done. So he took her home. First step is with Shuna, to make clothes for her.

'You're so skinny! Are you even fed well at home?!' Shuna was worried and distraught when Tomo had to remove her clothes for measuring.

'Uhm, I eat enough for a full stomach, but its not exactly vegetables, fruit and fish...' Tomo admitted. 'Mom only cooks dad's favorite foods for as long as I remember...'

'And you're thirteen years old.' Rimuru deadpanned. 'I've seen taller. But still, what we found out just now concerns me.'

'What do you mean?' Tomo asked him.

'The title of Don of that Don Timoteo guy. It means you're related to a powerful affluent family, like an aristocrat or something.' Rimuru began. 'But as you are a successor, something your father clearly was not due to some circumstance, you are a threat to Timoteo's interests as he wants his children to inherit, not you as most likely, you and your father are from a Branch Family but still legitimate heir.' he said to the horror of Shuna's workshop. 'Your father must have allowed sabotage to your life in exchange you will not be killed.' he speculated.

'By crippling you by making an idiot out of you by damaging you spiritually, people would look away from you as successor candidate. This began most likely by telling your mother that he'll only eat his favorite foods in home-cooking, therefore while you have a full stomach, you're still malnourished as humans need vegetables, fruit and seafood in life, not just meat. Therefore you became physically weak and underdeveloped for your age. Then that wasn't enough for that insecure old dude, leading to your crippling at age eight.'

Tomo was clearly shaken by the speculation.

'But that no longer matters in this world.' Rimuru reassured Tomo who looked ready to cry. 'You're safe from all that now. Here, everyone has each other's backs. Your mother is at least, safe, so don't worry.'

Meanwhile, seven more people got yeeted from Earth as well at the exact same time with Tomo.

Gokudera Hayato was running away from his sister trying to drag him home when he clearly didn't want to and vanished in Italy.

Rokudo Mukuro was on the run from Vendicare after staging a jailbreak on the eve of his execution as a Death Row prisoner.

Lambo was learning how to walk properly at home out of his diapers and starting to learn language.

Hibari Kyouya was purchasing a new pair of tonfa when he vanished before a horrified shopkeeper and a few shoppers in line, CCTV Evidence to match.

Sasagawa Ryohei vanished in front of his little sister and her friends when he came to pick her up from her school to go home together. Screams ensued.

Yamamoto Takeshi also vanished in front of his friends who saw the 'Staircase Murder Incident', stunned with shock.

Arisawa Nagi who was in Tokyo, was on the way home from school, but vanished as well. CCTV Evidence available.

Five out of six, have innate desires, while one was clueless, but they all have one thing in common.

They were Summoned, as opposed to being a Stray Otherworlder by various human countries wanting 'Heroes' for themselves. And they ended up in countries that...matched their personalities. But at least, they weren't alone.

Hayato ended up in Ulgrassia with Takeshi and Lambo. Hayato freaked out about 'We're summoned by cultists!' and frantically worried about human sacrifice to 'some random god' and panicked, throwing all his dynamites about. Lambo cried in fear and Takeshi was the only sane one and dragged them out when he got the chance to run for safety.

Mukuro and Kyouya ended up in Falmuth. Murder spree ensued as Mukuro and Kyouya had shared a silent agreement. GTFO and beat the shit out of their kidnappers who are in the way!

Nagi and Ryohei ended up in El Dorado. To a baffled Leon Cromwell who was only focused on summoning young girls who resembled a friend...
