The camera zoomed down on a corn shaped field filled with...well, corn.
"Hey! That there is our farm!" Jose said in shock. Nancy and Miguel were also in shock.
The camera zooms to entrance (where a Balan scarecrow can be seen) as it quickly navigates through the corn to reveal Jose working away.
"Papa! It's you" Miguel shouted with surprise!" So...why am I there?" Jose asks. "Everyone comes to Wonderworld for a certain reason or two. You're going to see Jose's reason right now" Mirabella said
The camera zooms through More corn as the sky turns cloudy and dark. It stops at Jose again, showing him still working through the rain and cold, as a Balan Scarecrow stands behind him
"...Balan? Why are you a Scarecrow? In our crops?" Nancy asked, wondering how she could have missed him. "I like to learn and observe, and I enjoy the corn fields that your husband preserves." Balan said simply.
The camera zooms through the corn again, showing Jose's hat getting blown away, while he was working on his crops AGAIN. He looked with a surprised look on his face
Nancy and Miguel laughed at his predicament "Hey it was windy on that day, and Don't forget, this is for College Miguel." Jose reminded
The camera zoomed through the corn once more as Jose looks at his crops with pride, smiling at his hard work.
"Wow, you're REALLY proud of your crops aren't you?" Ren said. Jose grinned with pride "You bet, that's my blood sweat and tears right there." He said. Mirabella looked down, he wasn't going to like what happened next...
Suddenly, the sky grew dark and the music grew ominous. The camera zoomed through the corn as Jose looks at something in horror
"W-What'a going on?" Asks Yuri.
The camera turns to reveal a giant tornado, destroying anything in its path... including Jose's crops.
"No! NO! THIS ISN'T HAPPENING! Jose yelled. Nancy tried to calm her husband down, but it wasn't working
The camera zooms on Jose's heartbroken face, and spins back around to reveal all of Jose's crops, His hard work, all of his efforts couldn't hold up against the storm. He dejectedly dropped his shovel as lightening flashed, revealing glowing red eyes inside the Tornado as the screen goes black.
"So...that's why my papa goes to Wonderworld...our crops get destroyed. Jose refused to accept this "NO! THIS WON'T HAPPEN!" He shouted Mirabella sighed"Well, can you do? It hasn't happened yet but-" she was cut off by Jose's shout "THAT'S IT! WE'LL HARVEST IT NOW!" Nancy and Miguel looked confused "But...it's not ready yet." Nancy said "We have to try! I mean, how's Miguel going to get into college without the money we need from the corn?!" Jose asked. However, before he could leave, Mirabella waved her hand and brought him back.
"Sorry Jose, I'm afraid you can't do that. Either way, you'll find your way to Wonderworld, and Trust me...that's not even the worst part." She said.
The scene reveals Jose heartbroken, bending down as he let out a sigh. The camera changes to show a dark fog covered portal as Lance, the Maestro of Negativity rises from it. He let's out a dark chuckle from behind Jose
The children held onto whatever they could grab as Lance scared them.
Lance waved his hand as one of his tentacles rose out and slowly made it's way over to Jose, and poked his back. Suddenly, Jose let ot a pained scream as he was overcome by darkness, he body unleashing a tornado as the screen grew dark
"JOSE!" "PAPA!" Miguel and Nancy shouted in horror as Jose looked in plain shock. Everyone else looked in horror as well. Nancy got up, and took of her shoe as she marched over to Lance, fury in her eyes. "TU MONSTRUO HORRIBLE! ¡¿QUÉ LE HICISTE A MI ESPOSO?! ES MEJOR QUE NO LE HAYA HERIDO O LO SENTIRÁ! YO ME ASEGURO DE ESO! ¡ME ESCUCHAS! ¡YO! ¡SERÁ! ¡HACER! ¡POR SUPUESTO! ¡DE! ¡ESE!" She shouted, whacking Lance with her shoe. Jose and Miguel quickly came to Lance's rescue and pulled her off of him...but not before she chucked her Shoe at Lance's head one more time. "Remind me never to make your mom mad..." Ren said to Miguel
The screen grew light again as Leo/Emma could be seen descending into a new area. A loud howl could be heard as a large tornado starts to descend onto the platform Leo/Emma was on. The Tornado disappeared as a large, dark wolf with a fire in it's stomach howled at Leo and Emma
Those watching looked in horror "What. Is. THAT?!" Mara yelled in terror. "That's the darkness that's infected Jose's heart." Mirabella said. Nancy looked at Lance in anger again. "If it makes you feel better, his name is Barktholomew." Mirabella said. Leo held back a laugh. This giant monster of a wolf's name was BARKTHOLOMEW?! Talk about non-threatening.
The scene then showed Barktholomew getting hit by Leo and Emma. It then showed him dazed and weakened before the same dark fog seeped from his body as a brilliant bright light shone from him. Soon the large monster let out a pained howl as he began to shrink down to size. The camera changed angles to reveal Jose, a smile on his face as he returned normal, slowly floating back to the ground.
Leo was suddenly tackled to the ground by Nancy, tears flooding from her eyes "YOU SAVED MY JOSE! THANK YOU!" She cried, muttering Spanish blessings under her breath as she ran to Emma and did the same thing. Leo tried to get out of her very, VERY strong grip, but it was no use. He just had to ride it out.
The camera shows Leo/Emma and Jose walking to each other, hands outreached before a bright light flooded the screen, and it changed to them on a platform as they and a bunch of costumes began to dance
The children began to laugh as the adults looked in confusion. "Jose? I get that you're happy but...why are you dancing?" Nancy asked "At this point. I don't really care. I got angry, I turned into a giant wolf, and now I'm dancing with a bunch of animals and plants...I'm not questioning ANYTHING at this point." Jose said as Miguel fell out of his seat from laughing.
The screen glowed white again to reveal while the storm has passed, it also left a lot of destruction in it's wake to Jose's crops. But that didn't stop him. He picked up his shovel again, ready to rebuild his crops from the ground up.
"Your work might have been destroyed, but that doesn't mean that you can't start again. And besides, we can help!" Miguel said, the other humans had offered to help as well...except for Leo.
The wind blew in another direction as Jose looked up, surprised at what he saw.
"What do you see honey?" Nancy asked.
Jose looked past a broken fence to see one corn. One lone corn. Was STILL standing.
"One of the corn survived! You can still go to college Miguel! My hard work didn't go to waste after all!" Jose cheered
Jose looked in pride as he gazed at his still standing corn before looking out at the horizon, as a shines rainbow behind him before it forms the shape of his new crops while the camera zooms back into the sky
Mirabella smiles at the happy Jose "One down. 11 more to go." She says before her gaze saw that Leo's seat was empty.
"Leo? Where did you go?" Mirabella asked, looking for the blonde haired boy again. As it turns out, Leo had tried to leave AGAIN. "There is no way this is going to be MY future. Maybe if I get out of-" He bumped into Balan, who had been looking for him as well.
"There you are Leo! We've been looking for you!" He started, wrapping an arm around Leo's shoulders and snapped his fingers "We've still got a lot of work to do!" He finished, transporting them back to the others "AH! There you are Leo! We were looking for you!" Mirabella said as Balan sat him back down "You're a slippery little dancer aren't ya?" She said. Leo sighed, he'd need to get more crafty next time...
