Mirabella stood up to address the crowd "OK, a little warning now, anyone with a queasy stomach better close their eyes now, you'll see why..." she said cryptically
The sound of rain could be heard as a little girl with green hair and a bow, Cass, could he seen looking through a window at a display of toys and shoes. With a clocktower turning backwards in the background
"OOH! I'm next! I wonder why I went to Wonderworld..." she said, curious about the clocktower in the back
The camera slowly zoomed back to reveal Cass again, only this time she seemed to have found a small kitten in the rain, a small meow was heard as Cass gasped in happiness
"'GASP!' A KITTEN?!" She gasped, Cass had always had a special place in her heart for kittens. She squealed in joy at the sight of her new kitten friend
The camera moved around to show Cass putting a small daisy onto the kittens head among the plethora of colorful item's, before it showed Cass carrying the small feline as Balan wound up a music box behind her.
"Mom! Dad! Can I keep her in the future? Can I?" Cass practically begged to her parents. The two looked at each other. "Well dear, I'm sure that we'll just have to-" Christine was cut off by what she saw next as her hands flew to her mouth in horror. Cass turned around...and what she saw practically destroyed her heart
The camera turned to show Cass looking away in terror, screaming as the small cat had been walking away, as a car screech was heard and a red car could be seen making it's way over to the small feline. The camera started to turn again as Cass's sobs could be heard while a clockwork street was made and a streetlight turned on. The sounds of a car honking loudly was heard as Cass ran away from her deceased friend, the guilt she felt made her drop below as jagged symbols were scene, and a shadowy kitten blocked out the screen.
No one dare said a word of made a move. The sight that they just watched rocked them to their very core...They just watch a young child. Experience the pain of loss... Leo looked at the little girl, who looked terrified at what just occurred. Eric looked at his frozen daughter, and reached a hand to her "Cass?" He asked cautiously..."It's all my fault..." those were Cass's only words before she ran away, tears flooding down her face. Everyone watched as Cass break down into heartbroken sobs "CASS WAIT!" Eric yelled, hoping to stop her daughter before she got too far. "This is terrible..." Elieen said sadly. Nobody knew how to find the young child, nor comfort her.
Leo looked around, hopping that no one was watching, before he slipped off to find Cass. Mirabella saw him sneak away, but decided to let Leo find her before she intervened...
Leo followed the sounds of heartbroken sobs until he found Cass hiding in a corridor. "Cass? You OK?" He asked as Cass scooted away from him "Just Go away!" She shouted, her sobs overpowering her words. "Cass, I know that it's heartbreaking, but it didn't happen yet, you can still save her." Leo said, but that only seemed to make Cass more upset
"OH WHAT'S THE POINT! You heard Mirabella, she said that it'll happen eventually and I can't stop it! Even if I did get her now, I'd only be bringing her closer too her doom! But what would you know?...you don't want friend around you, you'd rather stay alone...maybe I should be like you. No one around me means that I don't have to care for anyone..." Cass said sadly.
Leo felt his heart break, he felt the sadness and anger in her words...but the last thing hee wanted was for her to end up like him. The blonde haired boy looked around before he sat near her.
"Hey Cass, I'm gonna let you in on a little secret...there's a reason I don't like to make friends. " He started as Cass continued to sob, but his words made her curious "R-Really?" She asked through her tears. Leo nodded "Yep...It happened years ago when I had one friend: Mason. He and I were like music and dancing, nothing could tear us apart...and then one day we got into a pretty big argument. And it was so big we decided we should just never be friends again." He said as Cass's tears started to stop and she looked at him "You guys never became friends again?" She asked innocently "Nope. We went our separate ways, and I just decided that...maybe it's better just to be alone. And I danced alone for as long as I could, even though I know some people try to be my friend and my mom tried to get me to be social. I know I haven't talked that much and I know that I stay away from others...but that's because I don't want to have history repeat itself." He admitted. The green haired Girl looked at him...before she hugged his waist. "I'll be your friend." She stated. Leo looked down at the little girl latched around his waist as he slowly returned the hug...
Unaware that Mirabella, the Maestros and the humans seen and heard EVERYTHING.
The two children slowly broke the hug as they stood up "So uh...we better get back before people think that we've disappeared." Leo said "Alright! Let's go!" Cass said, her smile reappearing on her face. The two of them walked back to the theater room, only to see everyone staring at them.
"Uh...did we miss something?" Leo asked, turning to a smirking Mirabella "No, after all it is the first time you opened up to...well anyone actually." She stated. Leo didn't understand until Sana and Lucy hugged him...rather tightly "No wonder you've been so cold and moody towards everyone! I can't believe a argument can destroy a friendship!" Sana cried "Don't worry darling, we're all friends here!" Lucy said. Leo's eyes widened, both from the lack of air, and the fact that everyone seemed to hear his and Cass's 'PRIVATE' Conversation. "You heard what I said to Cass?!" He gasped out. Everyone nodded, much to his frustration. "Maybe you two should let him go...he's turning blue." Mirabella pointed out. The two women let him go as Leo gasped for air. Alice walked through the crowd before she saw her son...with a unreadable look on his face. "Leo?" She asked, before Leo asked. .
"How much of the conversation did you heat?" Mirabella nonchalantly said "The whole thing." Leo's eyes grew angry "YOU WERE EAVESDROPPING?!" He yelled. Everyone looked down. The blonde haired boy shook his head "THIS is why I don't make frie1nds. This EXACT reason." He emphasized. Leo stomped back to his seat "C'mon...let's just get this over with." He grumbled, not making eye contact with ANYONE.
The scene changed to show Leo/Emma lowered into a new area, filled with jagged looking leaves and traffic lights with cat eyes in them. A loud and sinister meow like laugh was heard as a large cat like monster with a clock in it's stomach dropped from the air and landed on a stoplight. The cat meowedmenacingly at the two kids.
"I'm...a giant fat cat with a clock in my tummy..." Cass stated bluntly as she looked at her Negaboss form. "Hey, Purrla might be a fat cat, but she sure does pack a punch."Mirabella said.
The screen changed to show Leo/Emma landing the final blow on Purrla, causing her to be dazed and dizzy. Dark Fog leaked out of Purrla as the clock on her stomach spun wildly. The glow of positivity shined as she shrunk down, with a pained meow. The small ball of light showed Cass slowly coming down with a calm expression on her face.
She finally reached the ground and walked towards Leo/Emma before the screen glowed white. When the white faded away, the three children could he seen on another platform and began to dance.
Cass felt tears come up in her eyes again. "Cass? What's wrong?" Emma asked "I'm not sure if I WANT to be saved..." Balan's eye shot open as he rushed to Cass's side "Sorry if I seem like a pet peeve...but I couldn't help but overhear that you DON'T want to leave."
He said. Cass nodded, although she was shocked at Balan's speed "Yes...because what would he the point? If my kitty friend isn't going to make it..." Balan wagged a finger at Cass "I'm afraid that that isn't the case, Wonderworld you can't stay in. It's not your place. But don't be quick to judge we haven't seen the end, maybe there is still hope for your small feline friend." Balan said
The screen glowed white to reveal the clocktower once more, as The loud clocktower chimed its bells, confetti fell around it and it was rapidly spinning backwards before moving to Cass, who seemed to he frozen in time. The camera spun around Cass a few times before it transitioned back to the real world as she looked up
Cass looked away from the screen. She didn't want to see the carnage she caused.
Cass turned around to see a Car slowly driving forwards, and a small kitten with it's back turned to her before it turned around towards Cass as sunbeams, poker through, the small feline perfectly fine as it meowed at her. The little girl looked in shock before she joyfully ran towards her kitten friend and hugged her as the acene around Cass changes the Balan Theater, and Balan winks before he closes the doors.
Cass looks on in joy as she watched the end of the cutscene. She didn't cause her new friend to get run over. Joy overtaking her heart. Mirabella smiled until she heard a loud growl. Yuri jumped behind her mom "OH NO!! Was that a Negaboss?" She cried shivering. "No, That was Leo's stomach." Leo looked at her with furrowed eyes. "NO IT WASN'T!" He denied. "So you're NOT hungry?" Mirabella asked him "No..." He stated, but the ghostly woman gave him a look. "...Ish." He finished. "Well, I suppose you would have gotten hungry, it has been a while since you last ate." Mirabella said. "I suppose another break to eat is in order. "
