Chapter Five - Bonds
The final two days passed and it was the night before the team had to guide Tazuna to the bridge and finish its completion. They were celebrating Fox's new jutsu that he created but said the only person he'd allow to see it was Anko. "If I show any of you, Sasuke may want it and use his sharingan to copy it. Then Ino, you could try your mind transferring jutsu, and it would be a big mess with this secret jutsu." Fox explained while they were at the table. Nine pm hit and Anko ordered everyone to go to bed. This annoyed Sasuke and he demanded to know why he was being treated like a child and Fox was able to stay up. "In my experience, only children complain about not being able to stay up with adults." Anko said with a smile and Sai began to drag Sasuke upstairs to their room. Tsunami, Tazuna, Fox, Anko, and Kakashi laughed. Silence overtook them for a few moments until Fox began to speak up. "Hey Anko, I'd like to do the jutsu now if you would like." Fox said. Anko smirked and said that she was ready and they proceeded to the bedroom. Kakashi called from the table and said, "Make sure you use the silencing jutsu. I like to sleep without hearing a headboard shake." Naruto looked at him confused and asked what a headboard would be shaking for and Anko grabbed his hand with an annoyed expression. The two of them sat Indian style in the center of the room. Naruto went through the hand seals that were required to activate the jutsu. After a few moments a blue line of Chakra was being formed. Naruto grabbed his kunai and pierced a spot over his chest and blood began to drip. He then went through a few more hand seals before handing Anko the kunai that had his blood on it. She performed the same action that he did. "Okay, now I need you to perform these hand signs exactly as I do, okay?" Naruto asked and received a nod from Anko. "The signs are, Dragon, Rat, Horse, Dragon, Tiger, Monkey, Serpent, Ox, Tiger, Dragon, Rat, Monkey, Tiger, Serpent." Naruto explained and the two of them performed the seals with exact timing. The blue chakra line then floated upwards and pierced through both of their hearts. Suddenly, everything stopped and Anko was confused and asked if it worked. Naruto rubbed the back of his head and chuckled as he was unsure. "Maybe we did something wrong. I'm going to go take a shower. Are you sure you don't need any hot water?" Anko asked. Naruto grinned and told her that ever since he can remember, cold showers felt the best. Anko smirked and proceeded down the hallway until she was stopped by Naruto's voice. "God, she is incredible. Never have I ever wanted someone so bad. But it isn't her body that has me going wild. It's her attitude, her drive, her smile, her laugh, her smell. Everything about her is perfect. I know it's considered taboo for a genin to want to date a jounin level ninja, but I don't care. No matter what, I'll keep working hard to get her attention and her love that runs deeper than being a friend." Naruto thought to himself as he didn't realize that Anko could hear his thoughts. She quickly ran to the bathroom before anyone noticed her standing there. Anko entered the shower and felt a bit of pressure being released from her shoulders. "Naruto, if only you knew." she thought before realizing that her and Naruto shared thoughts. While in the room, Naruto was knocked out from exhaustion from the jutsu he used. While in the shower, Anko glared at the mirror and she stared at the curse seal that was on her neck from Orochimaru. "I can't do that to him. His life is already hard enough. I can't give him the burden of having to deal with twice the hatred. I just can't." Anko thought to herself as she wrapped a towel around her body and proceeded to her bedroom. Suddenly, a figure was seen standing before her. "You don't look too bad in a towel." Sasuke said with his smug look. Anko glared at him and demanded that he go to bed before the Uchiha were erased. Sasuke laughed and said that he likes a woman that can fight. Anko stated that he's insane if he thinks that nobody will hear him. "I copied the silencing jutsu that you and fox used. Too bad I couldn't see what you were doing there. But god only knows what the snake whore can do, especially with an ignorant genin like Fox. She then immediately threw a kunai at Sasuke who blocked it with ease. He rushed at her with speed and when she began to form a few hand seals, Sasuke distracted her by removing her towel. Her face went red along with having anger in her face. "Well, the snake whore has a body on her, that's for sure." Sasuke said. He then threw the towel at her and said that he saw everything he needed. Anko's face was enraged and as she prepared to cast a jutsu, Sasuke informed her that if she attacked, he would inform the council that the snake whore was trying to seduce and attack him, especially since Anko was naked. Anko quickly wrapped her towel around her and entered hers and Naruto's room where all of her anger had faded when she saw him cuddling a pillow in the spot where she slept. Anko quickly put on her panties and bra and crawled into bed and softly moved Naruto back to his side and let him keep the pillow she was using. In response, Anko grabbed Narutos and she faded away into a deep sleep.
Bridge
The seven ninja from Konoha left the house with Tazuna early in the morning so he could finish the construction of the bridge. With Fox's new jutsu, the two of them were able to communicate without revealing anything or having to be secretive while they spoke. "I'm sure the tracker ninja will be arriving shortly, then not long after, Gato and his men. I'll fight the tracker while you take on Gato." Naruto said to Anko through his mind. Anko smirked and gave him a nod. "Ino, Sai, Sasuke, I want you to know that there is a high chance we will be getting attacked. I need all of you to stay on guard and protect Tazuna with your life." Kakashi ordered as he began to feel an uneasy presence. The fog rising from the water was getting thicker. The only thing that could be seen in the distance was Fox's red sharingan eyes that glared brightly through the holes of his mask. Instantly, Fox demanded for the group to protect Tazuna and clashed his sword against the tracker's kunai. "So you decided to show yourself. I won't let you touch the bridge builder." Fox stated as he gritted his teeth. "I have no desire to harm the bridge builder or carry out Gato's orders. I'm simply getting revenge for the man you stole from me." the ninja said as the two continued clashing their weapons at each other. Anko bit her thumb and created a summoning and greeted Salamand. "I need you to help me get rid of all this fog. The snake informed her that it was impossible due to the fog being natural. This annoyed Anko and she nodded her head. "Naruto, be careful. This ninja's chakra is something I haven't felt in awhile." Anko told Naruto telepathically. Fox nodded and continued to charge at the ninja with the intent to finish him off. To his surprise, the ninja created a water clone and made a single hand seal that put his hands together like the sign of the tiger, but with his middle fingers wrapped around the pointing finger. "Crystal Ice Mirrors." the ninja shouted. Squares of ice formed around both the tracker and Naruto that concealed him in a structure that was similar to a prison with the tracker appearing in each mirror. In an instant, one thousand needles were sent in Fox's direction but with his Mangekyo Sharingan, he was able to redirect them. "So you possess a Kekkie Genkai?" The tracker asked with curiosity in his voice. Fox responded with annoyance and said that a friend gave him those eyes. "Have you ever lost anyone precious to you before?" the ninja continued asking. Fox glared down and considered everyone that he considered precious. "Anko… Kakashi… Lord Hokage… Itachi… Shisui…" He tells the tracker that he'll never let anyone close to him die. Needles were sent flying at him from multiple directions but with his quick movements, Fox had used his blade to deflect them. Outside the crystals, both Anko and Kakashi tried everything to dispel the fog that was getting thicker by the moment. Suddenly, Anko felt something strange in her heart. It felt as if part of her world had come crashing down and it involved Naruto. She turned around and felt both of the ninja's chakra. "Anko, don't interfere. You have to let him fight. All you're doing is getting in the way." Kakashi scolded. The tracker continued sending ice needles in different directions at the same time and made it nearly impossible for Fox to avoid and dodge the, "I never had the intentions to kill you. However, you took the most precious person in my life from me." the tracker said but was shocked when Fox spoke up. "You think I give a damn about that? What do you know about lost?" Fox asked as the power kyuubi began to affect him by changing his eyes from his red sharingan, to the sharingan with slits. "As a child, I revealed that I was able to produce chakra that created ice. It is known as my Kekkie Genkai. My father was afraid and thus he killed my mother. He tried killing me, his own daughter. I snapped and eliminated him. I became an orphan until Zabuza found me. Now that I don't have Zabuza, I no longer have a family anymore." the ninja said. Fox shouted back, "So what!? Both of my parents were gone before I was born! While your father may have been mistreated and you were ignored by the people in your town, were you beaten to a bloody pulp every day and night? Were you in the hospital twenty-four, seven? Did you have to live in the Anbu headquarters for your childhood because your leader was too afraid of what its people would do to you? Finally, were you forced to end the life of someone that meant everything to you!?" Fox shouted with rage and a crimson color chakra began to form around him. Anko and Kakashi noticed the chakra signature and it was the darkest thing they had ever felt. "What is this? How is his chakra visible to the naked and eye?" the tracker asked and immediately, Naruto charged and began crushing all the mirrors before they had a chance to regenerate themselves. "Kakashi! It's the fox. He released himself!" anko shouted until Kakashi glared his sharingan eye at Fox. It was as if fire had overtaken the bridge, the tracker ninja could no longer defend herself from the wicked attacks that Fox delivered. "I have to, this is my last resort." the tracker stated as it made a few different seals and a wave of ice had been created. Fox's fist of red chakra charged at the ninja's wave of ice chakra and they clashed with each other. Both Fox and the tracker were sent flying towards each other into the frozen water underneath the bridge that was being built. "Fox! Where are you!?" Anko cried out as she couldn't feel Naruto's thoughts anymore. To their surprise, the fog began to clear up but neither Fox or the tracker ninja was anywhere to be found. Sasuke created a fire ball jutsu to assist with removing the fog and assist the group with finding the two ninjas that were in battle with each other. With all of the commotion, Tazuna had stopped working on the at the bottom of the lake, Fox laid inside a cave that was unreached by the water along with the tracker ninja who lost her mask and revealed herself to be a woman. Both shinobi were knocked out cold and neither of them could simply be found. Back on top of the bridge, Anko summoned a few more snakes and ordered them to enter the water and search for Fox. They agreed to do so. The genin and Kakashi regrouped with Anko as she explained that something happened to him. Sadness and concern crossed their faces, even Sasuke refrained himself from making his normal cocky comments.
Unknown Cave
Fox woke up as he coughed up water and saw that the tracker ninja he was fighting was a girl about the same age as him. "Hello Fox. I'm glad to see that you haven't been killed." the tracker ninja said. Fox glared at her and asked where they were. She informed him that they were in an unknown cave that has a one in million chance of finding it. Fox glared around and looked at the floor to find a pool of darkness beneath him and the girl. "What do we do?" Fox asked as he tried thinking of ways to escape. The girl smiled warmly and informed him that usually whenever a person ended in a cave like this, there was no escape. This angered Fox and he continued to yell in annoyance at not being able to escape. "What is your name by the way?" Fox asked with hopes that changing the subject will make things better. The girl smiled and introduced herself as Haku. Fox glared and introduced himself as Naruto Uzumaki, but his nickname is Fox. "It's nice to meet you, Naruto. I'm sorry that we had to meet under these circumstances. You would have been an excellent friend." Haku said. This confused Naruto because he couldn't understand why the ninja would say that without knowing him. He asked how she knew they would have been friends. "I saw the way you fought Zabuza. You were determined to protect the ones that are precious to you at the cost of taking a life." Haku explained. She then stood up and informed him that she was ready for him to complete the fight and kill her. He shouted and demanded to know what she meant. "I have no future. I have no friends or family. I have no village. I'm just a tool for someone to use. Now that I've been defeated and I have failed to avenge Zabuza, I no longer have a purpose in life." Haku admitted with a warm smile on her face. Naruto sat frozen because he never looked at life with the same perspective, especially due to having been in the same position as Haku. "I'm not going to kill you. I don't like killing. If you were given a second chance at life with the opportunity to become a member of a village along with a shinobi that isn't treated like a tool, would you take it?" Naruto asked hesitantly. Haku nodded her head and informed the blond hair boy that she would but it doesn't matter due to it not being in the cards for her. Naruto smiled and told her that if he gets her out of there, then he'll talk to his hokage and allow for her to become a member of the leaf as a true shinobi. Haku's face was shocked to hear this from the boy she nearly killed. "Why are you doing that for me?" Haku asked nervously. Naruto gave her his foxy grin and said that he's been in her position and knows what loneliness feels like. "I've been there, I know the pain. If I can help make that pain go away, then I will, Haku." Naruto said before getting an idea. He informs her that they have one chance at escape and he needs her to trust him and hold on to his arm tightly. Haku was shocked and asked how he planned on doing that. "It's called the Mangekyo Sharingan. I don't have much time, but later once we're in the village, I'll explain it to you." Naruto said as he focused his eyes and shouted, "Kamui!" Both he and Haku vanished into a vortex.
Bridge
Anko fell to her knees and knew that it was hopeless. She lost her student along with her best friend. "Why? Why did he have to be taken from me?" Anko cried as Kakashi hugged her tightly. The genin along with Tazuna glared with pity at Anko until she lifted her head with her eyes open wide. "Naruto?" She asked and when she turned around, she found Naruto appearing with Haku's arm around his shoulder to help support her. Without hesitation, Anko ran towards him without hesitation and hugged him tightly. "Fox! You fucking idiot! Don't ever do that to me again! I thought I lost you!" Anko cried as she held Fox in her arms tightly. Kakashi and the other genin gave a warm smile with the exception of Sasuke who closed his eyes with his cocky smile. Anko ordered Tazuna to call for help until a man, roughly five foot one appeared before them with what looked like one hundred bandits. "Well, Tazuna you dog, you almost managed to stop me. Your hired ninjas took out both of my assassins with ease. Tazuna froze and Anko glared at the man. "I'm going to give you one final chance. Back off and let me keep control, or I'll kill you and your entire family." Gato said as he laughed. Anko stood tall and proceeded forward and declared that she wasn't going to allow him to do anything. "Hmph. Tan jacket, netted shirt and pants, Leaf Village headband, sadistic attitude, you must be Anko Miterashi. I always heard you were a looker, but I never thought you would be so stunning. Why don't you come with daddy, and I'll take care of you as long as you are a good girl." Gato shouted as the bandits laughed. She charged at him with a kunai only to be grabbed by the large and bulky bandits that worked for Gato. He walks up to her and tries to place his finger in her mouth only to have her bite him. He then takes one of his brass knuckles out of his pocket and punches Anko across the face. Little did anyone know, but the moment that Gato placed her hands on Anko, Naruto's anger began to snap. Noticing that Naruto was about to lose control and his cover was going to be blown, Kakashi immediately activated the Hidden Mist Jutsu that protected Naruto from being detected without his mask and his red chakra flow. The blond haired boy began to change as his nails grew sharper, his teeth turned into fangs, and a large gathering of chakra that created a tail-like feature appeared. He vanished and the hundreds of men that Gato brought with him were killed. Being able to smell the corrupted criminal, Naruto launched at him and began slashing his razor sharp claws at the man and splattering blood everywhere. Anko noticed and the sight horrified her. The young, pure and honest blond haired boy wasn't there, but a monster whose only concern was killing. Anko noticed the chakra signature coming from the fog and knew that Kakashi was protecting his identity, Anko quickly created a sound barrier that prevented anyone other than her, Gato, and Naruto from hearing her. She yelled at the top of her lungs for Naruto to stop, and when he looked over at the voice calling him, he saw an emotionally torn Anko with tears running down her face. "Please, stop this. You aren't a monster. Please, Naruto." Anko cried and the bond that connected their thoughts proved to be effective as the red chakra faded from Naruto's body and returned him to normal. He looked at his sensei and gave his foxy smile before falling down and passing out. Gato laid on the ground begging for mercy only to have Anko summon a snake to finish him off. She got down to her knees and pulled Naruto's body towards her. "It's okay, Naruto. I'm here. It's over, we can go home." Anko said as she held Naruto as tightly as possible. Before releasing the sound barrier, Anko placed Naruto's mask on to help conceal his identity. She then released the barrier which indicated to Kakashi to release the mist. The bridge appeared clear as day and Anko asked if Kakashi would be able to stay till the bridge was completed while he got Fox and Haku back to the house. Kakashi happily nods and the three of them return back to Tazuna's house.
Tazuna's House
Both Naruto and Haku were placed in the bed next to each other as Tsunami assists Anko with helping the two ninja recover. While she watches over the two shinobi, Anko cannot understand why Naruto would rescue the enemy ninja that tried to kill him. To her surprise, Haku had awoken and asked where she was. Crossing her arms with slight annoyance, Anko states they are in the bridge builder's house. "I've got some questions for you. Naruto clearly saved you for a reason. I don't care about that. What are your intentions?" Anko asked defensively. Haku gave her a warm smile and stated that Naruto said that he would help her have a second chance at life within the leaf village. Anko's face dropped with slight annoyance because she couldn't deny that Naruto would say such a thing. "Here is how this works. We'll bring you to the leaf village. You will stay with Naruto and I because for the first month, you'll be placed under probation. After your probation period is up, you'll be given a chance to show your skills and be given a rank. You're a bit too old to enter the academy, so you may receive the rank of genin, chunin, or possibly jounin. There is a high chance that I'll have you on my squad along with Naruto. In about a month and a half, the chunin exams will be taking place. Depending if you're given the rank of genin or not, you'll be able to participate. I want you to know this, and I want you to understand me loud and clear. Naruto is the most precious person to me. I refuse to let anything happen to him. If I find out that your intentions are malicious or anything but the best for him, I'll feed you to my pet snake and then eat the leftovers myself. Do you understand." Anko said with her sinister tone. Haku gave a wide bright smile and showed that she understood. Anko then informs Haku that she will need her rest because they will be leaving once Naruto has fully recovered. "Now, I need to contact Lord Hokage about our living situation. I don't think living in the Anbu headquarters will be big enough for us." Anko said to herself as she summoned her snake. "I need you to deliver this scroll to lord hokage. Tell him not to ask for a response because we're leaving tonight. I'd like to have everything in order by the time we get back so that way we can all get some rest." Anko ordered and when the snake bowed its head, it vanished. Naruto's eyes slowly began to open as the first thing he saw was Haku laying next to him with her eyes wide open. "Hey, how are you feeling?" Haku asked. Naruto chuckled and stated that he's felt better before. "Are we back at the house? Where is Anko?" Naruto sat up and freaked out. Haku chuckled and informed him that he must really care for her. Naruto gives her a look and says that she is the most precious person in his life, and that he'll protect her, no matter what. This makes Haku smile because the boy reminds her of herself. "Don't worry, Anko is in the main room. I believe we're in good hands." Haku assured him. Naruto took a deep breath of relief and fell back on his pillow. Naruto continued thinking about the events that happened and he's trying to understand what happened. Not long after, Anko arrived and gave Naruto a hug and said that he'll be okay. Naruto nodded and asked why Haku was with them. "Naruto, I've decided to allow Haku a second chance at life and bring her back to Konoha with us. I'm not sure how that will go exactly, but I believe that everyone deserves a second chance. Don't you?" Anko declared and was given an assuring nod from Naruto. Once Naruto had eaten, Anko noticed that both Haku and him were oddly in a healthy condition, she decided that the three of them would return to the village to complete their mission. The group thanked Tsunami and informed her that they apologized for not being able to thank Tazuna. Tsunami gave them all a hug to show that she understood. The three shinobi proceeded to return back to the village.
A few days later
Since they returned back to Konoha, Naruto has been training with Haku. Hiruzen decided to give her a chance but placed her on a three month probation period. He decided that since she was a follower of Zabuza, it would be in the village's best interest to keep an eye on her. She happily accepted the terms and would often train with Naruto or spend time with Anko to pass the time. Though the hokage offered to put Haku inside an apartment of her own, Anko stated that it wouldn't be the best idea due to having many civilians and other shinobi treat those that weren't born in Konoha. After a discussion with the hokage, a few threats, and a slight blackmail, Anko was given permission for her, Naruto, and Haku to live inside the forest of death. "Anko? Not that I don't trust your judgment, but would you say that it's safe for us to live out here?" Naruto asked as the group entered the forest. Anko smirked, and told him that they're going to build themselves an underground house. "This will be good because we won't have to worry about anybody breaking in, or trying to attack. Also, by being in the forest, it will give us unlimited space to train and become stronger!" Anko declared with her bright smile that usually is only seen when Naruto is around. The three of them begin working hard on their underground house. Haku was able to create a never melting Ice as a structure, while Anko summoned her snakes to gather materials. Naruto used his shadow clones that gave them extra man power. After about three hours of building with little to no rest, the three shinobi managed to create a nice, underground home that would allow the three of them to fit comfortably. Naruto smiled as he praised the home that he and his friends created. Haku looked at Naruto with a strange look. Anko caught on to both Haku's look of desire along with Naruto's clueless reaction. Unsure of the reason, Anko couldn't help but get slightly annoyed at Haku. "Maybe it's because he saved her life, I'm not sure." Anko thought to herself. She then spoke up and informed Naruto and Haku that they will begin their training tomorrow. "Haku, I'm not sure what the hokage's plans are. But you may or may not be assigned a genin team. However, until further notice, you're going to be training with both Naruto and I." Anko stated with slight aggression in her voice. Haku gave a warm smile and she bowed. Anko looked shocked because of Haku giving the vibe that Naruto would often give her. Team Kakashi had returned from the land of waves and were paid for the B rank mission. Sasuke was annoyed due to hearing the rumor that not only did Naruto get paid for an A rank, he was also placed in the other countries bingo book.
Hokage's Office
Three months had passed since Haku's arrival to Konoha. Hiruzen Sarutobi met with Anko, Kurenai, and Haku. He informed the Snake sensei that it would be only fair to put her on Kurenai's team. This slightly annoyed Anko due to having had Haku train under her. She decides to accept the results fairly. Everyone was dismissed but Anko asked if she could speak with the hokage privately. He nodded and then once the girls had left, a silencing jutsu was placed around them. "What are we going to do about Naruto? The chunin exams will be starting in about two months. He doesn't have a team, and all the slots are filled up. Can't I give him a field promotion for having killed both Gato and Zabuza?" Anko said while crossing her arms. The third hokage took a deep puff from his pipe as he considered everything that Anko was saying. "What about this, I'll make an exception to Naruto being a one man squad for the exams. If what you're saying about his abilities are true, then he should be able to pass the exam without any teammates, right?" Hiruzen said with a challenging smile. "That isn't the point. You and I both know that the chunin exams are filled with those that are far beyond that of a genin, which is to say that Naruto will be the only one that's above his given rank?" Anko said as her voice suddenly got louder. "This is what I'm going to do for you. I happened to know all the details about the mission. Don't ask me how I know, just know that when it comes to Naruto, I know everything. His current abilities between the Kyuubi and the Mangekyo Sharingan, I'd say Naruto has the ranking of a jounin. I'm going to allow you to give him one final test. By testing him, if he passes, he will become a chunin. If he fails, then he will remain a genin along with having to wait the following year for the exams to return with the hopes that you formed a team. Also, as a bonus, if he passes, I'm going to give you two a top secret S rank assignment that cannot be told to anyone." Hiruzen said with a glare. Anko nodded and vanished so that she could collect her little blond haired friend.
Dango Shop
Naruto was chowing down at the dango shop that he and Anko would frequently visit. He was slightly nervous due to nearly being slaughtered by an angry Anko who didn't like that he got dango without her. When she arrived, she vanished and appeared with her kunai at Naruto's neck. "Naruto, are you eating dango without me?" Anko whispered that sent both goosebumps up Naruto's neck, and butterflies in his stomach. "I'm sorry, Anko. I was really hungry and I knew you had a meeting with the hokage. Speaking of which, when will I be able to take my test to become a chunin?" Naruto asked as he continued stuffing his face. Anko's face grew slightly annoyed because she didn't know how he was able to break the hokage's silencing jutsu. "No worries, I'm the only one who could hear the conversation." Naruto said as he rubbed his stomach to indicate that he was full. "How did you hear us?" Anko asked with slight curiosity in her voice. "I have enhanced senses. Not to mention, we can read each other's thoughts, remember?" Naruto said with his foxy smile. Anko smirked and nodded. She then told Naruto to meet her at their training spot, he was going to take his test. Naruto nodded and then he vanished.
Training Field #44 - The Forest of Death
Anko arrived at her and Naruto's training field to find him standing in the center. "Naruto, are you ready for me to show you why I'm the sensei and you're the student?" Anko asked with her challenging voice. Naruto smirked at her and he took his fighting stance without uttering a word. "Anko, if you don't fight me with the intent to kill, then you won't win. I'm going all out starting from the beginning." Naruto said with his confident and stern voice. Anko charged at him and vanished. When she appeared behind him, she tried to swipe his feet, but Naruto did a backflip and kicked her in the face. "Come on, Anko. I know you can do better than that." Naruto taunted. Anko's face turned into her sadistic grin as she began to form a series of hand seals. "Shadow Striking Snake Barrage!" Anko shouted as thirty snakes shot from her arms with venom in their teeth and on their skin. Naruto smirked and at once, the snakes began to burn as they halted in their travels. The black flame known as the Amaretsu, had made contact and began destroying them. Naruto's eye began to bleed but he didn't spend any time worrying about that because he had charged at his sensei who tried to block his punch, but was shocked to see Naruto vanished and appear behind her. To his surprise, Anko had set up a trap that had him pinned with multiple weapons and snakes that were prepared to attack him at every angle. Anko stood in front with her hands ready to perform a jutsu. "Are you ready to quit?" Anko asked with exhaustion and pride in her voice. Naruto smirked and stated that he never backed up. Immediately, he stood behind his sensei with a sword across her neck. "You felt for my genjutsu, looks like I won." Naruto said as he gave Anko a soft kiss on her cheek to symbolize that he had no hard feelings. "How did you have time to pull that off? When I got here, I would have noticed you activating any genjutsu." Anko said with confusion. "The Mangekyo Sharingan doesn't need any hand signs and when we made eye contact, you had already fallen into it." Naruto explained. Anko crossed her arms as she pouted but quickly changed her attitude when she informed Naruto that from that point on, he is officially a chunin of Konoha. "Come on, we have to meet with the old man." Anko said as she started walking but stopped when she noticed that Naruto remained still. "Old man? You've never called him that before, Anko." Naruto said with one of his eyebrows raised. "I guess I've been hanging around you for so long that I'm starting to use your language." Anko said as both her and Naruto laughed.
Hokage's Office
"Impressive, you have mastered the Mangekyo Sharingan in such a short time. This is extremely incredible. I stand by what I said. Naruto, you're officially a chunin. Now, as I told Anko, I have a special S rank mission for you two to complete. Nobody can hear about this and once I inform you, I'm going to do a memory removal jutsu. It will allow me to forget that I told anyone about this mission to keep anyone from trying to extract knowledge. A resource on the outside of our village has informed me that Orochimaru and the fourth kazekage have made an alliance. I'm afraid that towards the end of the exam, they will make an appearance. Naruto, I want you to play a huge part inside the exam. There are three parts. Ebiki will be the proctor of the first exam, Anko will be that of the second exam, and Genma will be the proctor of the final exam. For the first exam, Ebiki will be giving the ninja a written test, you're going to play the role of a genin that is taking the exam. However, I want you to spy and gather any information that you can about the participants. Your best bet will be to inform Ebiki and I'll be in immediate contact with him. Afterwards, the second exam will take place inside the forest of death. This will be our primary plan to eliminate those threats that were discovered in the first exam. However, I have a feeling that Orochimaru may be entering the exam. Rumor has it that he battled with Itachi. He was defeated and so he may be trying to go after the Uchiha boy. Naruto, Anko, I need the two of you to keep an eye out on Sasuke. Finally, the third exam will be one on one battles. I believe this is when the invasion will begin. Anko, you will be separating the women, children, and civilians, along with the academy students to safety. Then I want you to join the head of clans while they push out the invading ninja. Naruto, you're going to take on their Jinchuuriki. I don't care how much damage the village has, you need to make sure that you fight with everything you have. When the invasion begins, you'll receive your rank of special jounin." Hiruzen said as both Naruto and Anko nodded at him. "Finally, there is something that I'm willing to do for the two of you. I happen to have a scroll that both Madara Uchiha, and Hashirama Senju created. This scroll contains an entrance to the room that doesn't have time or space. You'll be living in an environment, just the two of you, that will allow you to train and grow stronger without the burden of being limited on time or being called for missions. While you're inside, five days will pass, but it will feel like five years. This will allow both of your bodies to mature faster, but also to become significantly stronger. I want you two to know that I'm not forcing anything, and if you wish to decline my offer, I completely understand." Hiruzen finished saying. Naruto and Anko looked at each other. They then turned their heads to the hokage and nodded that they would do it. "Good, I thank you both for agreeing to do this. I'm going to write a fake mission that will require the two of you to leave the village. Once you exit the village, I'd like for the two of you to reappear in my office. This way, you'll certainly have someone claiming to see you leave and thus your presence won't be under anyone's concern. I'd like for you two to go ahead and inform Haku about your leave knowing that she is staying with the two of you. Then I'd like you two to meet at the gate and proceed to leave. I'll see you both back in my office in a few hours." Hiruzen said to Naruto and Anko that gave him a nod to indicate they understand. Both Naruto and Anko return to the Hokage's office. Hiruzen began to form hand seals for the silencing jutsu, along with casting a genjutsu that showed him busy with his paperwork. "Tiger, Monkey, Serpent, Dog, Boar, Dragon, Serpent, Horse, Ox, Tiger, Bird, Dog, Dragon, Serpent, Tiger, Ox, Horse, Tiger, Serpent." Hiruzen said as he made each seal that matched the word he said. Immediately, a scroll appeared, and when he opened it, a door was formed in the center of the room. "Naruto, Anko, when you two enter, you'll be in a world that is completely different from ours. While it will have all the luxuries that a person could want, it also has everything that a person needs to get stronger. Don't worry about any damage you do, within moments, it will be all fixed up. While you become eighteen inside this realm, you'll notice that only five days have passed. Good luck." Hiruzen said as both Naruto and Anko entered the Room without Time and Space.
