*Notes - I want everyone to know that I'm aware of the Swift Release being different from the body flicker or Flying Thunder God. However, I decided to give Naruto his own Kekkei genkai for the swift release. He will learn the rasengan, but mix it with his blade. Similar to the rasang shuriken. It will be called, Swift Release - Rasang Blade Slash. For those that were concerned with Anko being dumb, I hope it was revealed in the previous chapter that she isn't. I decided to do the prep course because it will allow for the students to have a better respect for Naruto who was stated to be a student of Anko and was currently on an S rank mission. (His mission is pretending to be Fox). She states that Fox is a chunin and won't be participating but Naruto will. I've decided to give Naruto the same idea as Minato with his Swift Release being all he needs plus his Mangekyou Sharingan. Naruto is a prodigy, so please don't get mad for him mastering the rasengan in a faster time. For any other questions, feel free to ask and I will answer them the best I can. Plus, if you have any particular fanfic stories you would like me to create, let me know.
Chapter Eight : Chunin Prep Course
One am came around and Naruto, Haku, and Anko were wide awake. They decided that since they will be training the rookies, it would be best if they got up and did their own training beforehand. Naruto then asked Anko if he would be able to work on his own jutsu instead. "Anko, I've read through my parents notes. Another jutsu he had was the Rasengan. I want to make my own variant of it. However, it took my father three years and Jiraiya three months. I don't know how long it's going to take me, but ideally, I'd like to try and master it in three weeks. If you don't mind." Naruto said in an oddly respectful tone that was more respectful than what Anko received. She smiled at him and told him that if she lets him, then he buys dango every night he doesn't master it. Naruto smiled and vanished out of the house. "Haku? Are you ready?" Anko asked Haku who was geared up and ready to begin her training.
Naruto found a secluded spot in the forest of death that he knew nobody would find him. After spending so much time with Anko, Naruto was able to get along with the creatures inside the forest. While Naruto opened up the scroll, his world went black and he entered the room that Shisui and Kurama stayed in. "Hey guys!" Naruto called out. Shisui and Kurama greeted him and told him that they were looking forward to seeing if he could learn the rasengan in three weeks. Naruto smiled. "Okay, so I need to get some insight. I've never seen this jutsu before and I was hoping that one of you could possibly show me." Naruto said with hopefulness in his voice. "I'm sorry, Naruto. Neither of us have a way of showing you the jutsu. However, one thing I can tell is how to visualize it. I would like you to swirl your chakra in a single direction. Practice this in both directions until you're able to mix the directions and form an orb of chakra." Kurama suggested. Naruto frowned but then gave a determined smile as he said that he was going to work hard. Naruto returned to reality and as he prepared to start training, a genius idea came to his mind.
Anko and Haku finished their morning training and the other genin appeared. "Let's see. Sasuke, Ino, Sai, Kiba, Sakura, Shikamaru, Hinata, Choji, Lee, Neji, Tenten, and Haku. Okay, let's begin!" Anko shouted as the genin were trying to wake themselves up. "You guys have one month of this prep course. I'll give you slack today. However, from now on, I expect you all to immediately begin your morning workout. It should take you all three hours to complete the routine. If you finish it before everyone else, I want you working on chakra control." Anko ordered. Kiba spoke up and asked what the morning workout consisted of. "You'll run ten miles, then perform one thousand push ups, sit ups, squats, and then do one thousand punches with each arm, and one thousand kicks with each leg. The goal will be to complete it in one hour. However, you'll probably complete it in three." Anko explained. Everyone began complaining except for Sasuke and Guy's team. "Aren't you Naruto's teacher? Where is he at?" Sakura asked. Anko gave a slight glare and took a deep sigh. "I'm going to say this one time, and one time only. Yes, I'm Naruto's teacher. He isn't joining us because he is currently on an S rank mission. Naruto would blow you all away with this training because he can complete it within thirty minutes. Don't worry about him. Not to mention, you all were the reason he became so powerful." Anko finished saying before she ordered them to begin. Anko decided to sit back against the tree and visualized Naruto holding her from the behind and giving her kisses on her neck.
Naruto had continued training hard. It had been two days inside the world of the Tsukyomi since he started training. "Man, I see why it took my old man three years to develop this jutsu. But, Jiraiya mastered the jutsu in only three months. That's it! I'll master it in three days, even if it kills me!" Naruto shouted as he resumed his training. Naruto had no problem with swirling the chakra in his hand going both ways. He got stuck when it came time to mix the swirls. As he sat there, Naruto focused on the notes that he had of the rasengan. Immediately, Naruto jumped up with excitement because he came up with an idea. Naruto created a shadow clone and ordered it to swirl chakra in the positions that opposed the original. Afterwards, Naruto held a perfectly shaped rasengan in his hand. "I did it! Oh my God! I did it!" Naruto shouted before appearing back into reality. Naruto was beyond happy with the ability to use the rasengan so that he didn't wipe the blood that was leaking from his eye. "Okay, now it's time for me to merge the jutsu with my sword. If I can manage this, I'll be able to have my three signature jutsus that consist of two originals." Naruto said to himself as he created more shadow clones to assist him in the studying.
Fifty minutes had passed, and Lee and Haku appeared before Anko to receive further instructions. Anko smirked at Lee and asked him if he was the boy with no chakra. Lee gave a salute that was similar to Narutos. "Okay, since you cannot use any ninjutsu or genjutsu, I've got something else that will work for you. I want you and Haku to spar. We still have about two more hours until the rest is finished." Anko declared. Both Lee and Haku nodded and they went away from the group to focus on their sparring. Sasuke noticed this while he was doing sit ups. "I have to catch up! I'm an uchiha!" Sasuke told himself and he picked up the pace with his workout. Anko smirked and then greeted her fellow jounin who were secretly watching to see the training. "Basic conditioning?" Asuma asked. Kakashi smiled and said that the number one reason a ninja is defeated is from the lack of stamina and chakra. Guy confirmed Kakashi's statement and said that he was impressed with Anko's training routine. The four jounin vanished and left Anko to eat a stick of dango that Naruto brought her via his Swift release jutsu.
Naruto decided to go to the hokage's office where he was going to try and meet with Jiraiya. "Old man?" Naruto asked the hokage that was pouring himself a cup of tea to begin the day. "No training with Anko today?" Hiruzen asked with a slight smile. "It's not that. She is training the genin. I'm looking for Jiraiya. Do you know where he is?" Naruto asked. Hiruzen explained that Jiraiya was on the roof. Before he could utter another word, Naruto had vanished. "Hey, Jiraiya! How's it going?" Naruto called out to Jiraiya who met him with a smile. "Hey kid. How is it going?" Jiraiya responded. "I'm great. Do you know about rasengan?" Naruto asked and got straight to the point. The two continued to discuss the jutsu and Jiraiya was shocked to see that Naruto mastered the jutsu within three days. "Yes, I used the tsukuyomi that allowed me to save time. I wanted to create my own jutsu based on the rasengan like I did with the Flying Thunder God Jutsu." Naruto explained. "You created an alternate jutsu to your father's signature attack? Okay, let's go somewhere. I want you to show me both and then maybe I can help you." Jiraiya said and the two proceeded to an empty training field. Naruto stood before Jiraiya and created one thousand shadow clones. Naruto made the sign of the Ox due to having his jutsu reduced to a single hand sign. Immediately, Jiraiya nearly fainted when he saw Naruto eliminate all of the clones within moments. "Naruto… Do you understand what you just did?" Jiraiya asked Naruto who was confused. "You not only had enough Chakra to create one thousand shadow clones, but could use the body flicker and attack each of them within seconds. Not only do you seem to have an unlimited supply of chakra, but you were able to make a hand sign without uttering a word. Then to top it all off, you only used a single hand sign. You are definitely Minato's son." Jiraiya praised. Naruto smiled and gave his signature thumbs up.
Sasuke, Neji, and Kiba were the next ones to finish. "Good, it looks like you three are a slight cut above the rest. I heard from your senseis that you guys have done tree climbing and water walking right?" Anko asked and they were given a nod. "Okay, here are three kunai. I infused Chakra to add weight to them. Your objective is to make the kunai float three inches. Once you can do the jutsu for ten minutes, let me know." Anko ordered and she resumed her position. Feeling bored, Anko decides to listen in on Naruto's thoughts. "Not bad kid, you figured out a way to use the rasengan. Since you have high stamina and a godly amount of chakra, you aren't wasting any chakra. Okay, I'll give you some tips on how to merge the jutsu into your sword. You're on your own. I don't mean to sound harsh, but after seeing your progress, I believe you can do this alone and really show this village that you are indeed Minato's son." Jiraiya said with a smile. Naruto got excited and immediately created ten shadow clones. "I'm going to give all of you a scroll. I want you all to write down what you learned and then we will study it and begin training." Naruto ordered. Anko couldn't help but smile and blush as she was able to see the progress that her boyfriend was making. "Naruto, you're going to go far." Anko said out loud before realizing that her students had finished. "What the hell are yall doing standing around?" Anko shouted. Everyone said to have finished the training. Anko went over the kunai exercise and noticed the other three hadn't completed it either. "Good. I want you guys to do this for one hour. Afterwards, we will take a slight break." Anko said and everyone nodded.
Naruto smiled after he received all of the information that Jiraiya gave him. Naruto smiled and when he prepared to go study, Anko's snake summon appeared. "Hey Viper! How's it going?" Naruto called out. "I'm well, thank you. Anko has informed me to tell you that her students need their breakfast." Viper said with a slight hiss. During the five years of training he did with Anko, Naruto learned how to speak with snakes. Naruto gave a salute and then vanished. "I'm going to show those bastards a wonderful breakfast." Naruto said to himself with his sinister grin. It didn't take long for the hour to pass and everyone was on the ground, begging for food. Fox had appeared before everyone for breakfast. "Listen up, here is your meal. I want you all to line up in an organized fashion." Fox ordered. "Who made you boss?" Kiba called out with an annoyed expression. "Yeah! Sasuke is way cooler than you!" Sakura called back out. Fox sighed and looked at Anko for help. "Fox is significantly more powerful than all of you." Anko shouted. Fox started to laugh. "I tell you what, I want you all to eat your breakfast. Then afterwards, all of you are going to fight me. If any of you can land a single punch on me, then I'll take you for real food." Fox declared. The genin smirked and began eating their breakfast. "Foxy, what are you doing? You know they can't land an attack on you." Anko said. "I know. But I want to test Lee, Haku, Neju, and Sasuke. Also, I want to see if they will use teamwork." Fox said to an Anko who had her battle-ready smile.
Fox stood in the center of the training field while the others stood before him. "I'm going to do a little spar with each of you. First I want to fight Rock Lee. I want you all to see the best taijutsu ninja fight me. Neji spoke up with annoyance. "Hey! I'm the best Taijutsu ninja here!" Fox smirked under his mask and said, "What's your point? Lee finished the training before all of you. Plus, if you think you're that strong, then it shouldn't be a problem. You will get to see an idea on how I fight." Sasuke smirked and activated his Sharingan with the idea to read Fox's move. "Okay, a punch to the face is a win, single elimination!" Anko declared. When the start was heard, before anyone, including both of Sasuke's Sharingan and Neji's Byakugan could see, Lee went flying across the training field. Anko sent an evil smile towards the group. "I told you, Fox became this level because of my training." Anko declared. The genin lowered their heads and decided to have a different attitude with the exception of Ninja and Sasuke. Fox looked at the two genin who refused to join the group. "Can I help you two?" Fox asked in his stern voice. Neji spoke up first, "What did you do? That wasn't taijutsu, but I didn't see your chakra fluctuate. Sasuke spoke up after, "How come my sharingan didn't copy your jutsu?" Fox started laughing. "You two think you're much better than everyone else. Sasuke, just because you're the younger brother of Itachi, and the last survivor of the Uchiha, it doesn't mean you're strong. Neji, I don't know your story. I could honestly care less. But one thing I've noticed is, you both bring disgrace to your clan names." Fox coldly said and when both Neji and Sasuke tried attacking, Fox had vanished into thin air. "Hey! You two are about to miss out on the training!" Anko called out. "Kakashi, could you read that?" Guy asked nervously. Kakashi shook his head in disbelief. Both Asuma and Kurenai's mouth hung up.
Back at home, Naruto removed his mask and laughed his ass off at the ability to put both Neji and Sasuke to shame. "I wonder if the old man has any solo missions for me?" Naruto asked himself as he put his mask back on and he vanished. The hokage was working on his paperwork when Naruto appeared by the window. "Naruto, what can I do for you?" Hiruzen asked without turning away from his paperwork. "Do you have a mission that I can go on? I'm kinda bored." Naruto admitted as he placed his hands behind his head. Hiruzen stopped and turned around. "You want a mission? What about your training?" Hiruzen asked. "I already completed it. I mastered my two new jutsu. Thanks to tsukuyomi, I can train three days in a second. I did that three times already." Naruto stated. Hiruzen smirked and then informed Naruto that he didn't have anything. Naruto sighed and then decided to go see how Anko's training was going. Naruto had vanished and he appeared behind Anko and gave her a tight hug. "There you are, what have you been doing?" Anko asked as she placed her hands over Naruto's hands. "I tried getting a mission from the old man but he didn't have any. How are they doing?" Naruto asked as he glared at Haku, who was working with Hinato, Ino, Sakura, Tenten, and then Shikamaru. "They aren't doing bad. I've got Haku working on their evasiveness against her ice crystals. I decided to have Lee work on everyone's Taijutsu. I'm aware that Neji is stronger, but Lee has the heart and much better stamina. I'm trying to break the Hyuga and Uchiha off their high horse." Anko said.
Wanting to mess with the genin some more, Fox called out to Haku. "Hey, Haku! I want you to fire off your attacks at me. We'll give them something to strive for." Fox called out to his little sister. She gave a slight blush and smiled as she began firing her ice crystals at Fox. Everyone was shocked to see that Fox remained still but the needles went through. "Hey, wait! How do we know that you aren't playing a trick on us?" Tenten called out. Fox chuckled and informed Tenten that she could try. "Don't worry! I'll show you what happens to arrogant pricks!" Tenten yelled as she jumped into the air and formed a few hand seals. Around her, a scroll opened up and over one hundred weapons were being launched at Fox. To her horror and everyone's but Haku's surprise, Fox hadn't received a single attack. "Not bad, but you have to be quicker than that." Fox declared as he crossed his arms. "Impossible! I've never missed an attack!" Tenten complained. "Look, I hope my performance has shown you all, especially you Uchiha and Hyuga. I hope you all learned that no matter how strong you are, there is always someone stronger. There are people younger than all of you and stronger than me. I want you all to work your butts off while training under Anko. She is going to give you one hell of a training routine. No matter what, stay strong and don't quit." Fox said as Anko walked up next to him.
Lunch was then delivered by the four senseis that appeared behind both Fox and Anko. "We wanted to tell you all that we're proud of you. However, until Anko sees fit, you will be training with her every day. When it's time for the chunin exams, she will decide if you're ready or not." Guy declared. "What? That's bullshit! Our sensei recommended us for the exam. How can another person that isn't our sensei stop us?" Kiba asked with rage. "It's simple, Kiba. You're all genin level shinobi with slight chunin qualities. Fox is a chunin with Kage level abilities and Kage qualities. However, nobody is going to promote Fox to Hokage at this moment. It's not that he can't do the job, but it's because he has time to learn and develop even further. It's the same as all of you. While you may not be allowed to take the exam, you'll have more time to further become stronger." Kurenai said as she smiled at Fox. Fox walked over to Kurenai and gave her a tight hug. "Thank you, mom," Fox said and it shocked the jounin, including Anko. Fox returned to the front. "I'm going to tell you all a little secret that Anko sensei is going to kill me for." Fox said as Anko prepared to give him a dangerous look. "You are all showing signs of improvement since you arrived here this morning. While many of you have work that needs to be addressed, I can tell there is a slight shift in your skills." Fox said before vanishing into thin air. "I'm going to kill him when we get home tonight." Anko thought as she glared at the group. "Alright, here is the schedule you will follow. You will arrive at four am every morning and begin your morning workout. For those of you who finish, I want you to begin your chakra control exercises. Once everyone is finished, you'll be doing chakra control exercises until lunch. If you want breakfast, then work for it. Until everyone finishes the morning workout before six, there will be no breakfast. After lunch, we'll work on taijutsu practice from one to four. From four to seven, we will work on weapon throwing. You will be done at seven. This will give you nine hours of rest. The goal of this program is to condition your bodies and to promote teamwork between all of you. In real life, you don't stick with the same squad and there will be times that you take on missions with those that you don't like. So take all of this information in and think about it. I'll see you all in the morning." Anko shouted before everyone was dismissed.
Over the next few days, Neji, Kiba, Lee, and Ino had managed to complete the workout within forty-five minutes. Tenten, Sai, Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, and Sakura were able to finish the workout in an hour and a half. Anko noticed a major improvement. Haku was working with Hinata, Neji, Sasuke, and Lee on their agility. While Neji and Hinata are working on their Byakugan and Sasuke is working on his sharingan. Lee has been working on his speed and taijutsu that impressed Anko and Haku. Anko was working with Sakura, Choji, and Shikamaru on their taijutsu. Fox spent the time with Kiba, Sai, Ino, and Tenten on their chakra control. "You guys are doing excellent. Ino, your chakra is a burst and thus you need to make sure that you control it and use your brain to outsmart your foe. Tenten, while summoning your weapons isn't a bad idea, you waste a lot of chakra with just summoning and firing off the weapons. I want you to work on scaling your opponent and summon only what you need to declare victory. Kiba, you and Akumaru waste a lot of chakra and stamina with your movements. I'm going to speak with your mother to get a slight insight on the Inuzuku family's fang art. By doing this, I'll be able to better assist you in your training. Finally, Sai. I have no complaints. I'd like you to speak with Anko and I once we take a break. A few hours pass and Anko calls for everyone to take a break. Fox calls for Haku, Anko, and Sai. "Anko, I think Sai is ready. I think we can trust him to do his own conditioning on his own and further develop his ninjutsu." Fox said. Anko nodded and informed Sai that his performance was excellent and that she wished him luck in the chunin exams. "Hey, I'd like to send my group to yalls. I need to run an errand." Fox said. Anko rolled her eyes and said it was fine. "That's fine, but what are you doing?" Anko asked. Fox informed her that he wanted to speak with Sune, and get a little insight about the Inuzuku fighting style so he can assist Kiba. Anko nodded and Fox vanished.
Fox proceeded down the road that led to the Inuzuka district. "Hmph, let's see how well this works." Fox said to himself and he vanished. Sune was going through a few documents and laughed when she saw the blond haired boy sitting on her desk. "Naruto, what are you doing and how did you get here?" Sune asked with amusement in her voice. "Hello, Sune. I wanted to ask you a little bit about the Inuzuka fighting style. I don't expect you to tell me everything, but I want to help Kiba with his movements. If he wants to enter the chunin exams, he will need to move with better precision and not waste his stamina on any movements." Naruto explained. "Oh, Naruto. You're a little Shisui aren't you?" Sune asked in a motherly tone. "Yes, I'll provide the scrolls about the basic idea behind our movements. I'll give them to Anko." Sune said. Naruto was happy and thanked her. "One last thing, Naruto. When are you and Anko getting married?" Sune asked with a slight smile. Naruto gave her a wink and vanished. Sune stepped over to where he was and started laughing. "Minato, you would be proud of your son." she thought before returning to her desk.
Naruto returned to the training field and found that Anko was debriefing everyone for the day. After they left, Naruto greeted Anko. "Are you ready to go home?" Naruto asked as he picked Anko up. She wrapped her arms around Naruto and nodded after giving him a kiss. The two of them went home and when they arrived, Naruto found a set of scrolls that were from the Inuzuka family. Naruto put Anko down and he picked up the scrolls before they entered. When they walked in, Haku greeted them and revealed that she had cooked them dango. "Haku! You're the best!" Naruto shouted. "Oh, Haku! You don't have to show up to training anymore!" Anko shouted. Haku started laughing at the two ninja that she considered her older siblings. The three of them ate and when they finished, Naruto excused himself from the group and decided to read the scrolls that Sune brought. After a few hours of studying, Naruto was confident in his ability to further assist Kiba in his movements. Anko came to Naruto's office and hugged him from behind. "Naruto, what are you doing?" she asked as she looked over at the scrolls. "Not much, I just learned all the Inuzuka's scrolls that Sune brought me. I think I can teach Kiba. So I'm thinking, let's graduate Neji, Lee, Shikamaru, and Ino. I think you're at a level that they can train on their own. We can continue training Kiba, Hinata, Tenten, Sasuke, Sakura, and Choji." Naruto said. Anko looked at Naruto with a strange expression but decided that Naruto usually was good with his plans. Once Naruto finished his work, the two wished Haku and good night and they proceeded to the bedroom. Both Naruto and Anko entered the shower with Anko scolding Naruto for the water being too cold. Naruto smiled and gave his girlfriend a soft and passionate kiss.
Over the past two weeks, Naruto and Anko were impressed with the results that were coming from the students. Both Naruto and Anko agreed that the only people that were needing the training were Sakura, Kiba, and Sasuke. However, Anko knew Sasuke became stronger, but she was set on making him endure his punishment. Haku decided to assist Naruto and Anko with training the ninja. Naruto decided to train Kiba, Haku training Sakura, and Anko trained, or tortured Sasuke. It depended on the perspective. As the training proceeded on, the teachers with their temporary students became impressed with the progress. Fox had helped Kiba make an improvement on his fighting style and decided to help the duo enhance their senses. "By enhancing your senses, if you lose one or two, the other three will be able to make up for what you lack." Fox explained. Haku had assisted Sakura with getting better at dodging, along with understanding the entire body. While Sakura had a good bit of natural strength and talent with genjutsu, Haku wanted to improve Sakura's ability with weapons. "You're getting better, Sakura. However, I noticed you're losing focus. What's wrong?" Haku asked, knowing that Sakura was obsessed with Sasuke. Anko and Sasuke continued their taijutsu training. "Hey! How long are you going to use me as a punching bag?" Sasuke shouted with annoyance. "Haha. I'll keep using you as a punching bag once you learn to fight back." Anko snickers. Sasuke pulled his kunai and charged at Anko but was shocked to see that she appeared with her blade that Naruto made her across his neck. "How did you do that?" Sasuke asked as fear entered his body when he looked into Anko's eyes. "I train everyday with Fox and Haku. Everyday, we train and put our lives on the line. If we make even the slightest mistake, either ourselves or partners' lives become at risk." Anko glared. Sasuke tried catching his breath as he looked down. "Anko Sensei!" Haku called out to Anko who gave a wave that was a signal to come. "I've decided that it might be time to switch partners. Unfortunately, Sakura appears to be too distracted by Sasuke. I think you might be a better teacher for Sakura." Haku explained. Anko smirked, and told Sasuke that he can go to Haku while she has fun with his girlfriend. "Hey! Be nice to Sasuke!" Sakura shouted until she was punched in her gut.
The training continued for the next few days and Naruto informed Kiba that he should be confident in his abilities. "You have done really well, Kiba. Here are your family's scrolls. Tell your mother that Fox appreciates it." Fox said as he bowed. Kiba nods and both he and Fox knuckle bump before leaving with Akumaru. Fox proceeded over to Anko and Sakura who were sparring. "I don't think she is going to make it in the ninja world." Fox said to himself as he leaned against the tree. Sakura was trying her best, but the pink haired girl stood no chance against Anko and her fierce attacks. Sakura was knocked to the ground and as she tried to stand up, her body gave out on her. Anko gave Fox a smirk before a loud explosion could be heard. It was Sasuke and Haku. The Uchiha's eyes were red with a murderous glare in them as Haku laid on the ground. "Haku!" Fox shouted as he vanished and appeared to her. "Relax, I didn't do anything fatal. We had a match and our chakras collided." Sasuke explained as he tried catching his breath. Anko left Sakura on the ground and inspected Haku's injuries. "Fox, take Haku home to get treated. I need to have a talk with Sasuke." Anko said and Fox gave her a nod before he vanished with Haku. "What is your problem?" Anko asked with annoyance in her voice. "I don't have a problem." Sasuke responded as he crossed his arms. "Clearly something is wrong. Why do you look down on everyone and mistreat everyone?" Anko asked. "Because, I'm an Uchiha. I'm the best." Sasuke declared. Anko glared into Sasuke's murderous, sharingan eyes. "Turn your sharingan off. I cannot imagine why you would even have them. There are only three people in this world that's worthy of sharingan. It's Itachi Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, and Naruto Namikaze." Anko declared. Sasuke gave a look of pure hate and rage. "That brat is nothing! He is just Kyuubi. Nobody in this village accepts him, why should I? He was born an orphan. He never had a family, what could he possibly know about losing those precious to him!?" Sasuke shouted but stopped when Anko punched him in the gut. "You don't know anything about Naruto. He is twice the ninja that you'll ever be. He trains harder than anyone. He doesn't look on those weaker than him, he lifts them up. Unlike you, Uchiha. You look down on everyone because of your pathetic name. Let me tell you, I was close with both Itachi and Shisui Uchiha. Neither of them flaunted around their clan name. They let their skills do the talking. You, on the other hand, without the name of Uchiha, what do you really have?" Anko asked and smiled when she saw that Sasuke's nerve was hit. Not giving Sasuke any more time, Anko turned around and proceeded to head home. Sasuke remained silent.
As Sasuke walked home, he thought about the words that Anko said. "Neither Itachi or Shisui used the name of Uchiha to identify lifts those who are beneath him. He trains harder than anyone." The words haunted Sasuke's mind as he entered his home. As he entered through the door, Sasuke was greeted by Kakashi who was reading his "Make-Out Paradise" book. "Sasuke, we need to talk." Kakashi said coldly. Sasuke glared down at his feet and to Kakashi's surprise, Sasuke threw him his headband. "What's this?" Kakashi asked with his emotionless face. Sasuke looked up at him and for the first time since the Uchiha massacre, Sasuke had tears in his eyes. "Sasuke… I'm not going to lie to you, you have a ton of growing up to do. You have set your mind on revenge and getting stronger. Let it go." Kakashi said. Sasuke's eyes opened wide and he glared at Kakashi. "Let it go? How about I kill everyone that means something to you, then you can tell me to let it go!" Sasuke yelled. Kakashi looked at Sasuke and made a sorrowful smile as he closed his eyes. "Everyone that meant anything to me is already dead." Kakashi said. Sasuke looked down as he thought about what Kakashi said. Kakashi tossed Sasuke his headband back. "Look, I believe in you. The hokage believes in you. Even Anko believes in you. But you have to change and grow up. Alright, end of lecture." Kakashi said before leaving Sasuke's house. Sasuke looked down at his headband and proceeded to his bedroom to get some sleep before returning for another day of the training.
Anko returned home and found that Haku had recovered. "Sasuke is powerful. I thought Naruto and you were the only ones that could push me that far." Haku said with a smile at Anko. Anko smiled and then looked at Naruto. "Hey, Naruto? Do you think you could give Haku and I a minute?" Anko asked. Naruto nodded and then he immediately vanished. "What's wrong, Anko? Is everything okay?" Haku asked in her concerned voice. "It's Sasuke. I looked into his eyes and it was the same as Naruto's was a few years back. You see, one night, Naruto and I had a late night training session. We were sparring with each other. As the two of us clashed with our new styles, I could tell something was off with Naruto. After our session, Naruto said that he needed a moment. I thought it was him having a conversation with Kurama or Shisui. Well, I heard Naruto cry and it wasn't a slight cry of disappointment. It was a cry as if he lost everything. Naruto had changed completely. He grew fangs, along with razor sharp claws. His eyes became a deeper crimson red along with a red burst of chakra covering his body. Naruto had appeared to become more fox-like than human. Naruto went on an absolute rampage and destroyed everything in sight. I was scared. I thought I had lost my Naruto. It was when I showed him the bloodline imprinted mark that he gave me, he reverted back to normal. Back to the main point, Sasuke's eyes of hatred were the same as Narutos. I'm concerned about Uchiha. When I mentioned Naruto's name to him, it was as if he had this murderous intent like Naruto had." Anko explained. Haku remained silent but placed her hand on Anko's shoulder. "Anko, Sasuke and Naruto are very similar. Neither of them have a biological family. I was thinking, maybe Naruto should train with Sasuke so they can build a deeper bond." Haku said and then informed Anko that she was going to bed.
As Anko laid in the arms of her boy, she lied, wide awake and began thinking about everything. "Naruto… Sasuke… Is it going to come down to a battle of death between you two?" Anko asked herself. The next morning came around and both Sasuke and Sakura met Anko at the training field. "Alright, go ahead and start your morning training. Sasuke, I need to speak with you." Anko said in her stern voice. Sasuke put his hand in his pockets as he followed Anko by the tree. "What do you want?" Sasuke asked with annoyance. "I've decided that you have passed your training. You have paid off your debt and you're ready for the chunin exams." Anko said in her professional tone. Sasuke looked surprised because he didn't expect Anko to let him pass. He bowed and then proceeded to leave the training field. Sakura continued running but stopped when she saw Sasuke leave. "Why did you stop?" anko asked. "Where is Sasuke going?" Sakura asked as her eyes followed Sasuke leaving. "Don't worry about it. Get back to it or you won't be able to participate in the exams." Anko coldly said. Sakura made a deep sigh and resumed her running. Kurenai appeared next to Anko. "How is my girl doing?" Kurenai asked with a false sense of hope in her voice. "Not good. She has this ridiculous fangirl crush on Sasuke. She doesn't seem to care about anything but him." Anko declared. After a deep thought, Kurenai suggested an idea. "This is what I'm thinking, let her take the exam, then if she manages to get through, I'm sure Sasuke doesn't have a problem taking her down if it means advancing through the exam." Kurenai said. "Hmph… If she makes it through the first two exams, I'm sure I could have the hokage fix the matches. By doing this, it will help progress her ninja career as she learns that Sasuke doesn't give a damn about her." Anko thought before calling Sakura over. "I'm going to pass you. But you need to know this. Sasuke doesn't like you. Sasuke doesn't care about you. Focus on your training." Anko said before leaving. Sakura looked at Kurenai who gave her a nod. "Kurenai sensei? Why does it matter if I like Sasuke? I'm starting to think that Anko sensei has a crush on him." Sakura said. Hearing this made Kurenai go red. "Sakura, I think you need to focus on your training. I'll see you tomorrow. I hope you have a wonderful night." Kurenai said before leaving. Sakura remained alone at the training field before an angry look crossed her face. "That damn Anko! I will not let her take my Sasuke!" Sakura shouted before going home.
