(Conference room Indefectible)

Ars had been through this before, he reasoned in his head while looking out at the vast panoramic view from the conference room before him Australia was slowly coming over the horizon. It had been woefully disappointing though Anakin had an impressive air about him a sort of thick static like the energy the man had been shallower than he had expected and dismissive of anything that didn't meet his narrow world view and his Master Kenobi was just as bad.

He hated these moments alone with only his thoughts the mind was no place for pondering anything. Every mistake, every poor decision and every bitter snipe would run through his mind like a carnival of failure and humiliation that would make him cringe. Then would come the rest of the aftermaths of battles both victories and defeats, brutal messages sent to and from him things that would haunt him in the still quiet times that he would have to drown out by doing something.

For this occasion, he had decided to do some basic gun tricks and spins he had picked up from some of the gun-slinging bounty hunters he had met. Though he had made sure to render the weapon safe beforehand he had seen an incident once when a gunslinger kneecapped himself mid-spin of the weapon it had been both hilarious and horrifying.

He had just tossed one of his Westar Blasters behind his back when the door buzzed, he had caught the weapon reloaded it and holstered it while sitting just as the black-clad team of SG1 and the armoured Jaffa of Bra'tac's rebels had been disarmed and escorted in by B2 Battle droids.

"SG1 Master Bra'tac welcome I would be honoured if you would join me for a spot of tea." He said indicating with an open hand and standing for them for a moment before retaking his seat. They all eyed him with differing levels of interest, though there was a flicker of recognition in the Largest of the Jaffa warriors brought in before he seemed to dismiss the possibility.

"it's a nice place you got here."

"It gets me from a to z when I need it too."

"nice comfortable too I hope we get one someday." He said with a wistful smile and a look at Carter who smiled sheepishly.

"Well, Colonel O'Neill that is something we can discuss." That seemed to startle the man for a moment, but he quickly schooled his features.

"I am Ars Saxon of the Clan Saxon of Mandalore."

"that is not possible." Came the deep rumbling voice of Teal'c drawing the attention of everyone in the room to the large warrior. His eyes were locked onto Ars, then the helmet that sat on the table in front of him and the armour that he was wearing.

"heard of them?" asked O'Neill

"Indeed, I have read the stories of the Galactic Civil War, Mandalore is in those tales."

"Star Wars?"

"Indeed." The humans all looked back Ars with a speculative look as if questioning his very existence. Ars smiled slightly as a blue and grey painted protocol droid entered drawing their attention, he could practically see the disbelief drain from them and sheer astonishment take its place.

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy," he said as the droid poured the tea. "would you like some sugar Colonel O'Neill." The elder of the human group nodded.

"Jedi huh."

"yes, and they very much embody the phrase never meet your heroes."

"not friendly huh"

"no, they were dicks."

"How did you."

"accidental dimensional displacement via hyperspace malfunction." Ars replied with a shrug "it's been theorised, but this is the first piece of confirmation I've heard of." He said taking a sip of the tea "I can only assume that this event must have been what happened to every ship that had that issue with their drives, but I can only speculate."

"so, you're from Earth." It was Daniel that spoke this time

"to quote your taciturn friend, indeed." He said as he placed the China Cup upon its saucer. "but not this earth though I am sure you have had a not too dissimilar experience, Dr Jackson, with the Quantum Mirror."

"How did you?"

"I watched the Adventures of Stargate SG1 the same as Teal'c here watched the events of the Galactic Civil War."

"We're fiction to you?"

"not in the way you're thinking Captain Carter." He said as the discussion began to take a turn for the meta. "I watched a scripted Sci-fi show based on the adventures of Colonel O'Neill, Dr Daniel Jackson, Captain Sam Carter and Teal'c of Chulak." He said nodding to each of them in turn"the show I watched was inspiring, the characters flawed but well-meaning and always strove to do the right thing no matter what." He smiled to himself remembering the show fondly "but that's all it was a scripted show you are real the decision you make have real consequences and affect real people."

"But you do know what happens to us my wife and Scarra." Asked Daniel desperation leaking into his voice he stretched over the table while forcing himself back into his chair as if he was reaching for a life rope in a storm.

"I do," Ars confirmed sombrely

"do I get her back?"

"in the script of the show you do not but here and now the possibility is still there." It was a horrid thing to do to a man, to crush that hope and see a man defeated. That was his expectation, but he didn't see that in the man he only saw a deeper resolve and determination to change that fate.

"and Scarra." Asked Colonel O'Neill

"yes, you save him." He replied O'Neill nodded placing a hand on Daniel who grasped at the hand like it was the only thing in the world. Ars Turned to face Teal'c. "Do you wish to know if you succeed?"

The warrior considered it for a moment before he answered.

"I do not." He replied, "I know that the downfall of the Goa'uld is inevitable whether that is today or tomorrow it will happen that is all I need to know."

Ars nodded he could respect that

"Now the next question is where do we go from here?" Asked Daniel

"well, the way I see it we only have three options here, one, the soft approach, the President does full disclosure I pretend that I'm an ally you've made to help save the earth from invasion and willing to trade with the earth to smooth over any issues, I open comms and we arrange a time say a week or two from now and I'll return with a diplomatic approach to abate any worries."

There were some nods from SG1 but no firm confirmation they were willing to hear all of the options before making any decision, especially one of this magnitude.

"two, we pull the bandage off now, I force disclosure with the rest of the world by opening communication and talking to the many, many requests coming from Earth below. This has the potential to cause the most harm."

The humans of SG1 paled slightly none more so than Jack as he knew what the repercussion of such a thing would be as such a revelation was the nightmare of any black operations commander or soldier.

"three, we set up a time and we do a joint disclosure with complete honesty and let the cards fall as they may." He said calmly, "that is the nuclear option and not something to be done lightly I'd rather the first or second."

"When you say trade." The tone was inquisitorial but at the same time reserved exactly what he would expect from Jack O'Neill

"I mean all of the options ships weapons droid troops everything."

"ships?" asked Sam as she took a sip of the tea, she was calculating the relative yield of the Star Wars weapons she had seen as a child in comparison to the Staff weapons, she had experienced in her missions.

"yes, I can offer the full catalogue of ships designed by the Confederacy of Independent systems from the lowest starfighter to the largest capital ship." He said seriously "I make the same offer to the Free Jaffa and once I have fully understood the design process for Goa'uld weapons and ships something that would be sourly needed as the fight for freedom evolves."

"you're going to take the two Ha'tak apart?" asked dejectedly

"No," that caused Jack to perc up "I only need the one the other is yours by right of conquest." The smile that sped across the man's face was infectious and mirrored by the rest of SG1. "I'm going to be extensively studying the hyperdrives that the Goa'uld have deigned, see if I can get some more speed out of the Indi." He said smiling at the possibilities

"what type of ship is this anyway."

"The Indefatigable is a Lucrehulk-class battleship/carrier built on the design of the Lucrehulk-class heavy cargo freighter and is the second-largest ship in the CIS Navy she is designed to carry out a planetary subjugation by herself with enough fighters' bombers and ground forces to subdue an industrial world in a few weeks to a month."

"not Enterprise?" asked O'Neill "I always figured I would name my first ship the Enterprise."

"I had thought about it but as much as I love Star Trek, I had fonder memories of my Grandfather reading the Hornblower books to me when I was a child."

"and the rest of your fleet."

"mostly made of Munificent-class star frigates." He said pointing to the nearest ship that came into view through the large panoramic view "like the Exeter there, and like the age of Sail Royal Navy, the Frigate makes up the Backbone of the CIS fleet for more flexible strategic options." He smiled as the ship began to turn to starboard "I also have two DH-Omni Support Vessels that I have sent to Venus for resource exploitation and industrialisation with an eye to getting a full droid factory and shipyard completed with thin the next three to four months."

"what about crews and training." Asked Sam

"I have a full range of educational tutorial videos and training simulators available." He said as he took hold of the teapot and refilled his cup. "and I have enough droids currently to run all the ships we could make for the next year of production, but they'll be bottled up here in Sol till I can get hyper matter for the engines or decipher the Goa'uld hyperdrive."

"so, you're stuck in the system?"

"my current fleet has enough hyper matter to last up to 1.3 years of operations without resupply and the supply ships have enough to last another year before I am completely out of fuel." He sighed before taking another sip of tea. "I also cannot plot hyperdrive jumps without the navigational computer and the Nav Computer needs data before I can use it so I'm going to be spending hyper matter just to get a map of this galaxy that can be used for jumps."

"and the Goa'uld Hyperdrives don't need that?"

"not in the same way." He replied, "the Hyperdrive used here is more like the Stargate itself you type the plants address in and you enter into hyperdrive no worrying about gravity wells or asteroid fields it's like you're travelling through a higher plane than the drives that I use."

"that's fascinating the possibilities are truly mind-boggling."

"I'm sure we can spend time going through the specifics after the President's decision." He said with a nod to the Captain "now I'm sure you want to get back to the SGC so I will return you to your ship, I'll be back in orbit in a week's time By that time I hope that you have everything prepared." He smiled at them as they all stood "Master Bra'tac you and the free Jaffa are always welcome here."

The old warrior nodded his head before flowing his student and his allies out.

Ars turned to look out the window and sighed, he hoped that he had made a good impression and that they would consider his words carefully.

He collected his helmet and walked the short distance to the main command bridge. He sat heavily on the command chair rubbing his temples to ease the slight headache that was threatening to burn its way through his brain. He had never been one for the softly, softly, approach but he needed that now.

"send a single transmission to the planet on every attempted communication line in every language that they are sending tell them One Week. Then Set course for Sol 2 they should be partly through the first half of the primary survey."

"Roger, Roger." The pilot and communication droids acknowledged, the ship turned with a grace that belied its mass and size before heading off to its destination leaving behind a world in suspense.
