Max kept a secret her whole life, something that could have changed her life in many ways. Telling Chloe is just the beginning of her plan. Max has become a force of nature and there's nothing she wouldn't do for Chloe. This is story is an epilogue to my other story Numb. If you haven't read it, I strongly advise you to read it first.

When 5 students end up in detention together, nobody expects anything to happen. But Chloe Price is amongst them, and Chloe Price is full of bad ideas. Such as trying to unite them together into some sort of semi-cohesive gang - Breakfast Club style.

Max is given two options on the cliff, and she chooses a third. In a strange twist of events, she is seemingly given a second chance to live in the timeline she wants, but the instruction booklet is not included. Can she and Chloe make sense of this new world they find themselves in, and can they find a way to be happy after all they've lived through? F/F Slow Burn. M for later.

This story takes place after Chapter 14 of The Blue Hunter and follows Victoria after she splits off from her two travelling companions. Opting to be the one to travel back to Beorf alone, Slither must find a way to save a captured ally in need of rescue and exit the fortified city alive.

Max stays in touch with Chloe; through this simple action, their entire future together seems to be set in stone. But stones can erode, putting their future at risk when echoes of parallel lives seem to have a very common, very morbid theme.
