I've been productive, I guess. As season 12 is unfolding, I get ideas. I stopped in the middle of a scene because I need to rewatch "The Future" and emotionally process Castiel in that episode before I finish it. Anyway... enjoy?

It's Sam's Birthday! He has had some great ones and some bad ones in the past. Can his siblings bring him a good one this year? To make up for the last two? Rated T for brief talk about Nudity, and some minor language.

John knows he screwed up. He knew it twelve years ago when he took his firstborn for a drive and came back home by himself, and he knows it now, doing the one thing these twelve years have been spent trying to avoid. It's Sam birthday, but instead of being happy, he thinks about all the mistakes he's made. On this day, more than any other, Sam regrets being alive.
