AU story. A new tale telling the start of a new legend. Many years ago Sparda awoke to justice and fought his brethren to protect the humans and later on became a legend. Years later he fell in love with a human woman and sired twin sons.

Sparda betrayed Mundes, had two sons and they in turn had kids of their own. Dante went missing in DMC2 as he went to hell, or what he thought was hell. Now, Lady is forced to raise the spawn of Dante, who has taken after his father a bit, but also her. Of course, there's no way to insure that hell will stay where it is, or the devils them selves. I own nothing.

Imagine Dante's surprise when a bizarre development in a mission gone awry lead him to a new reality, complete with all the things he'd expect in his own world… EXCEPT he was a teenager once again and had no apparent way back home. Well then. If he's given a chance to live his youth again, he may as well make the best of it. Didn't make his debt problem any better though…

Second chances do not come by easily. Vergil knew that too well. He was denied death, after all. That was why he intended to make it count this time.
