Victoria invites Max and Chloe for a meet up at the Chase Space in San Francisco. With a heatwave bearing down on them, everyone takes great delight in sitting indoors under the air con and swapping stories. And some of them have some pretty big news to reveal.

Max had left Arcadia Bay in 2009, leaving Chloe at the worst moment possible through no choice of her own, falling into a depressive state. Finding solace in solitary pursuits and ultimately food, lots of food. She gained slowly at first, but her weight soon became noticeable, then became worrying to her parents. Now back in Arcadia Bay hoping to find Chloe make up for time lost.

Max and Chloe's honeymoon is already off to a turbulent start when the age of Chloe's truck catches up to them. When strange things begin to happen in the town they're stranded in, can they figure out what was going on? And can they find a way out in time?

In this story, Chloe and Max spend their final days together before fate separates them. Nostalgia and romance allow them to only somewhat come to terms with the recent grief that has stricken them and it is now that they need each other more than ever.
