Tony despairs for humanity, he really does. Especially when he's sitting with its 'bright, young future' in the school cafeteria. He despised high school. Then, just when he thinks they cannot possibly top their stupidity, they dare Tony to fake date Loki, the school outcast. Well then. Tony agrees, but not for the reason they think he does. When Loki takes over the Hammer Industries building where Tony works, he doesn't panic. Honestly, he has more faith in Loki than he does in all of the Avengers combined. (Really, they let Hammer on the team. They can't be that smart.) He just goes with the flow. Then breaks out of the flow. When he runs into Loki himself, well, what makes more sense than to offer his help.

Captain America's awoken and begun adjusting to his life in the 21st century. Quinn is reluctant to leave that bubble of calm, but when a SHIELD base is destroyed, the Tesseract stolen, and Quinn's best friend captured, there is no choice. As the situation escalates, it becomes clear that nothing will be the same again. - Part 7 of the Undisclosed series.

Loki feels the eyes watching him as he walks down the street. He has been feeling them ever since he has been dating Tony. He is, if not use to them, use to expecting them. Tony of course is oblivious to the protectiveness of his employees. It is reassuring in a way. (Wearing in another, but he will never burden Tony with that knowledge. What else did he expect?)

The Asset is lost. The Shadow heard those words and instantly knew something had went very wrong with the last mission. He also knew just what he was going to do.
