Post Avengers-Tony Stark never really had much of a reputation when it came to thinking things through. He didn't feel the need too. Most of the time he just got lucky and things worked out in the end; or rather Pepper would fix it. But just Tony's luck, Miss Pepper Potts couldn't fix this one.
