Chapter 136- Break XXVII

The Scoobies came to the dining room, where their future selves waited for them, and they sat down as they slowly started eating the food that had been laid out for them by their future selves.

These new recordings weren't as painful as the ones that came before, since while Gunn had been gone for a while, he had come back, and Illyria had killed the whole team but time travel had managed to undo all of that, fortunately.

But Team Angel was clearly in for the fight of their lives very, very soon. And it would not be pretty. It may not even end that well considering how things were going for all of them. Illyria was a wild card and had now lost much of her former power, so the Partners could always have something to take her down too.

Besides, the powerful sorcerer Cyvus Vail had proven just how far the reach of the Senior Partners was, he was not someone to be messed with for sure, considering he had gotten what he wanted.

"So, these recordings were interesting", Buffy finally spoke up.

"Wait till you watch the next two", Summers told her. "The final ones, they are really important."

"Guessing you'll watch those with us", Tara realized.

"Yep, we will be watching those ones as well, it is essential", Maclay confirmed. "Lot of stuff goes down in this one."

"And I think this stuff would be what we are needed to prevent when we go back", Willow told them all.

"Yep, what happens here is responsible for all the bigger messes that will happen later, so this you have to prevent", Rosenberg agreed with a nod.

"Connor returned", Xander muttered. "And looks like he got all his memories back too."

"Oh yeah, he did, and this time he didn't go psycho or anything because he is much healthier mentally and also very well-adjusted", Harris told his past self. "That was very nice for us all to see."

"Does he ever confirm to Angel that he remembers?" Dawnster asked them all. "I like this new Connor very much, he is kind of cool. And also has a pleasant personality which is not off-putting in any way, he's fun."

"Well, he does actually", Dawn told them all. "You will see it soon."

"Good to know", Giles said.

"And Angel and Spike", Buffy finally asked. "What the hell is wrong with them? Do they really think I'd be smitten with the Immortal? Are they that stupid?"

"Actually, it's because the Immortal is a very, very, very sore point for both of them", Summers said, sounding both annoyed and amused, and also a bit sympathetic. "Every time they have gone up against him, they have ended up being embarrassed badly, and with no way to get back at him either, you saw some of it for yourself."

"Yeah, he had a threesome with Darla and Drusilla, and they enjoyed it, and they have never done that with either of the two guys", Tara remembered. "Must be a horrible experience for them both."

"Yup, but you have to note, they were soulless so easy for them to cheat at that point", Maclay pointed out. "The Immortal never goes after women who are in committed relationships. He is kind of a, I think strange and big guy, but not a completely bad guy, he has his own limits and morals there, you know?"

"And the head thing?" Buffy asked.

"Just messing with them, and considering how they fell for it, he messed pretty well too you have to admit", Summers pointed out, and all nodded, conceding that.

Angel and Spike may have been idiots but the Immortal leading them on a goose chase was really funny. And showed just how witty he was as well.

"Is he really that charming though?" Dawnster asked. "As charming as they say that is?"

"Well, he kind of was, but we heard he used a glamor to enhance his appearance", Rosenberg told the past people. "I mean, all the stuff they say he did, he did do that, but he wasn't as handsome as described, decent looking, but the glamor made him next level."

"But, still handsome?" Xander asked.

"Oh yes, still handsome", Dawn confirmed. "Just not next-level handsome."

"So, bottom line, don't mess with the Immortal", Buffy realized, and got nods from all of the future people. "I will keep that in mind."

"So will I, don't want anyone to end up around him, even if he's not all bad, not the best kind of news either, and would be a distraction from all the work that well are supposed to do", Giles said to the rest of them with a sigh.

"That would definitely be for the best", Summers agreed. "Plus, since you're gonna kick Andrew out he won't be leading Angel or Spike on either."

"Oh yeah, he goes for sure, none of us want him around now", Willow agreed there. "He is just horrible in general."

"Plus, I think it'd have been so much better if I said to Angel and Spike what he said, coming from me it would mean much more, since I've seen them both from the start", Dawnster pointed out.

"Yeah, I so wanted to say it too, but Andrew took the chance", Dawn sighed. "Though I'm guessing you're all ditching the Rome plan in general."

"Yup, now we have other things to worry about, like helping Angel and his team with what they're up against", Buffy agreed. "And in the 19th recording, Angel agreed to give that woman's baby to the Brethren, why?"

"If you think he's turning evil, rest assured he's not", Maclay assured them all. "He won't, after what Cordelia told him, and after they lost Fred."

"So its an act then?" Xander asked.

"Just watch tomorrow with us, they are the last ones", Summers pointed out and all nodded. "Well, this is done. We shall meet tomorrow."

With that, the groups split up for the last time ever, since now only 2 more were left to go, the most important ones, and they would be done next day.

Now finally, the last two! Hope all enjoyed and see you all next time with another chapter.
